Why go Brian May and Roger Taylor of old and new numbers frontman on tour? Is it coal? Maybe. Perhaps the reason for this is also another, sadder.
Many fans died in 1991, Queen singer Freddie Mercury would actually have every reason to "The New One", the new, as Brian May calls him to reject: Adam Lambert comes across as someone from a talent show, but well, it originates yes also from a talent show. With its eingelederten body he looks like a mixture of Harald Glööckler and Bill Kaulitz, such people stop, depending before clubs like the Viper Room (ok, probably not Glööckler). The green arm-full tattoos also remember the football player of the nasty series A. There klunkert golden at Lamberts body. Everything seems somehow to function as a mirror surface of the headlamp beam, while Mercury had at that time, satisfied with a single dazzling jewelry piece, the crown on the head. Camp look that could of. Without Kajal All the moves like a strobe lights through your head when Lambert slides down to the opening bars of "One Vision" the show staircase.
Otherwise, it can be said: Adam Lambert, 33 years old, Americans, is a great singer. A few songs like "Who Wants To Live Forever", he may even completely appropriate, it creates the illusion that they could have been written for him.
But why go Brian May, 67, and Roger Taylor, 65, even with old and new numbers frontman tour with a singer who could never follow in the footsteps of the old? Is it coal? Maybe.
Perhaps the reason for this is also another, sadder. As a solo artist May and Taylor are meaningless, although she added together had composed 50 percent of Queen hits. Before and after the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991 they can not publish remarkable music alone. It would still be a shame, would be both therefore never hear again. Brian May, of course, one would hear him as a guitarist ever again. But his change between radio and Metal are this evening in "Another One Bites The Dust" a spectacle, it would be every time when his right foot comes close to the effects unit.
There shocked at first, as visible but is aged Roger Taylor. Other rock stars of his age and stature, Roger Daltrey about, have pimped blond. But then it's even more great understanding, but then carries what quality the former womanizer and now for Hutzelmännchen shrunken and equipped with white Santa Claus Beard drummer before him. As he takes the stage on drums, percussions and microphone back as the front. It is a quality that young bands would no longer tolerate. Taylor is still quite the old backbone, a drummer of the Seventy. One who has to fight for his action in a quartet, because he occupationally most of the time sitting. And who applauded him doing the most? Of course, the middle-aged Hard Rock blondes with perm that are right on the edge of the stage, propped forearms, hand bag over the railing, secure the entourage of the band. Those who believe in him. People like Taylor or Lars Ulrich of Metallica are probably the last of its kind - and Taylor, as he proves here in "A Kind Of Magic", still the co-singer, before the Mercury had most beware always.
No, Adam Lambert, "The New One" that's nothing to get upset his room for maneuver was already confined in the composed by two hours anyway. He made a brief speech of thanks to Freddie Mercury because of the job that is passed to it. Lambert is content with a single transition into the ditch to give high fives. Silly is only to be Geräkel on the couch while "Killer Queen", at the climax he playing the guitar zufächert May air. This looks like a gay parody, and it would have Mercury, who sat by his lifestyle against homophobic hostility, not like. Maybe you have talent show-man Lambert, who comes up with a new song for each gesture, this also includes Michael Jackson relic of eggs handle even get the jury panel from the head.
The guitarist takes place on a stool and voiced alone the play "Love Of My Life," Mays singing alternates with the Mercury, which is displayed on the screen behind him. It is an act without theatrics, even Freddie is brought only four times during the concert; May also looks not once up to the dead friend to verkneift Sayings á la "Cheers mate, hope y'doing fine up there." Well, that Lambert is not available in such moments of praise, it dries at ease straight from backstage, slips into the next Schnürlederhose.
Brian May, who obtained his doctorate in astrophysics few years ago, compares his queen Force with the space pioneers of "Interstellar": Even if they were with the clear mission to discover new habitable planet. Before you can try to understand what May said that, he is the gallery up and play under the projection of a starry sky a long, fortunately a very long guitar solo. He needs it, the fans too. So could go on forever! Maybe Brian May makes it indeed home, at night, in the huge garden of his little castle on the British country, and Roger Taylor sits on in there, in front of the fireplace.

Well, this one has me completely befuddled. For starters, it sounds like this guy isn't very impressed with Adam or with rest of the band, for that matter. The translation was very bizarre, but that happens. Maybe someone else here has a better take on it.
I agree Dee, I am stunned by saying that this was a gay parody and that Freddie, like not. I hope it is lost in translation, but I think the reviewer sounded impressed at one point and totally lukewarm at other comments. Befuddled is a good word.
I visited Atop a while ago. Apparently this reviewer is a woman. (Not that it makes any difference.) Maybe she went to the concert with a real pre-conceived agenda. Maybe she's a "it's got to be Freddie or nobody" person. Someone on Atop posted that she (the Atop person) took her friend to a QAL show. The friend was a diehard Queen fan who have seen them with Freddie in the seventies. She left the show before the encore because she felt betrayed that the audience loved the QAL show so much. I think some people feel that way. They can't help it. Maybe this reviewer felt this way, too.
There are some fans in comment section there they are writing than they don´t understand what is a parody and that they realy enjoyed the concert. They are a little bit angry. It seems they are all Queen fans, writing some fact about what Freddie did in his times and they don´t see nothing wrong in Adam´s version. They loved it.
The man who wrote the review is not probably Queen fan, lets look at his profile - films, books, CD´s (platten): http://www.rollingstone.de/autoren/sassan-niasseri
Crappy review no matter who wrote it.
Unfortunately, though the translation is weird, I (German) have to admit that the original review is mainly a negative one about Adam. The author criticizes Adam´s wardrobe, though she/he only mentions the one Adam wears at the beginning of the concert, and parts of his performance whereas she/he is thrilled about Adams vocal capability. Although I do not share her/his negative comments at all, I have to resign myself to the fact that not everybody likes Adam´s way of performing. What makes it worse is, that the author probably tried to create a kind of easy-going review but it turned out to be flippant not to say rude.
However, what always upsets me is that the author, like some other people, who did not know Freddie Mercury personally, grants herself/himself the right to know that he would have disapproved Adam´s performance. In my opinion only very few people know what Freddie Mercury would have thought about Queen + Adam Lambert.
Fortunately most of the German readers´ comments, in which they praised Adams performance and put the author in his place, reassured me again.
For everyone who feels annoyed by this review, here is a older but great one about the Vienna concert and Adam:

Please notice that this is no excuse for the "Rolling Stone" review.
This is absolutely the most inane, arrogant critic yet. Wars have been started over less. And yes, I criticize not just the writer, but the obvious hatred spewing from their mouth. The writer seems to think that when Freddie Mercury died, he became a saint to be worshipped forever and ever. Well, I, at the risk of being struck down by their deity, think Adam is the most talented entertainer EVER! I also believe that Rolling Stone should examine this writer's eyes, ears and head to determine whether they made a wise decision when they hired him/her! They like Adam, have written articles full of praise and had him on their cover.
Well ... since I could make no sense out of the entire 'review'?? ... I can only go by what is said by others in the comments below it ... therefore, I think the review STINKS!! It seems to not only deny ADAM's talent but also goes on to 'put down' both Brian & Roger ... so ... this one can line the bottom of a bird cage or wrap the garbage nicely in!! On to the next one ... hope this one is at least decipherable!!! Pfffft!!
