Glitzylady :)..... IMHO, what it takes:

Subjectivity.

I believe, perhaps the personal musical and performance preferences and tastes (along with cultural influences) of the individual reviewers influence/ shape their perceptions
and thoughts on the show.

It seems, however, that there is a common thread of agreement among most all of the QAL reviews: Queen's iconic and legendary imprint in music history (highlighting the talent and significance of Brian & Roger).... and Adam's undeniable talent and ability to sing & deliver Queen's iconic, complicated music, and vast catalog of hits. Even with Adam's style misunderstood.... If not appreciated (and used as fodder for sarcasm)..... His talent and singing abilty is one attribute no reviewer has denied, avoided or skipped. :)

You probably meant your comment rhetorically.... So I hope you don't mind that I replied with some thoughts.

Yes, exactly... with a bit of subtle :)) sarcasm thrown in on my part in my rhetorical question above...

I couldn't read the review as it's written in German,.. and I haven't been able to find it online yet, which would allow me to translate it (sort of...).. Maybe the comments within the review explain the thoughts...

But as we know, it's all subjective.. Not a bad rating, just curious what the reviewer would rate as a 6 star show/concert..

Only 11 more shows to go!!! What a fun period this has been.

Perhaps the translations have been way off, but I have noticed the reviews out of Germany are only lukewarm. Wonder why?

I'd also like to know what kind of concert would get six stars. I know reviewers are human just like the rest of us. A review is not just a quantifiable thing. It's emotional and personal. There are some singers who sing very well and I still don't like them much. Can't help it. Maybe Germans just aren't the gushy types. LOL. All in all, I think the German reviews have been pretty good. I agree with yada. The iconic legacy of Queen and Brian and Roger is always recognized. And Adam's voice is always given its due. Sometimes a reviewer zeros in on things that we fans wouldn't even think of as less than great. To me, Adam is astoundingly talented. I would be hard-pressed to find a weak spot. I think the German shows have been great, and it's obvious the audiences have thought so, too.

I think the German reviews have been pretty good.

Oops! I repeated something Dee R Gee said. Anyway, I don't have any complaints about the German reviews.

When are fans going to stop questioning certain reviews? It makes no sense to me that if it is a 5 star review it is accepted and praised but it it isn't 5 star (or in this case 6 star) then it is questioned and often argued with.
