Adam adores her & she is such a loving, supportive mom. They've always been very close. Adam has a wonderful, loving family that has always encouraged him, gave him wings and taught him how to fly. So many artists that haven't had positive role models & love don't have the foundation cope with fame & life. Elvis & MJ are just two examples. So glad Adam has family & friends that keep it real.

Adam on Ellen today!! <3

This is just fantastic. Such a lovely mother and son!

This is quite an honor, "HIT MAKERS AND THEIR MOM'S"! Adam is right there where he ought to be. Adam Fans, "IT'S HAPPENING'!!!!

What's next People Magazine, could it possibly be the title and cover of, "Most Beautiful Person"?

Congratulations Leila and Adam, such a beautiful example of what a wonderful and caring, supportive Mother can mean in helping to shape the life of such a beautiful, kind hearted, caring young man that his fans lovingly refer to as, " THE GLAM ONE"!!!

I have to take issue with your insinuation regarding Michael Jackson's Mother; she and her son were very close; and they seemed to love each other dearly. She has always been very supportive of all of her children and did the best that she could in raising them, she was the one strong loving force in holding her family together against very hard odds.

I don't know that much about Elvis' Mother; but, I thought I read some where years ago that he and his mom had a special Mother son relationship also.

Very unfair to blame all of a person's bad choices in life on their mother. Just because a person takes a wrong choice in life; does not mean that they are a bad person or that they had a mother that did not do everything that they could to support them. There comes a time when an adult child must take responsibility for their own actions.

Adam is a grown man now; so hopefully he will always make good choices for himself; at this point, it is out of his Mother's hands.

For the record; there are young people that have had very poor role models raising them; became excellent human beings and role models themselves against all odds!

Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley were extremely talented artist; and seemed to be good kind hearted human with seemingly loving Mothers. In the end, made some very unfortunate life ending choices. Also, since he is somewhat Adam related, you might want to add Freddie Mercury, of Queen and his loving mother to this list, among many other mothers of stars whose life ended tragically! So on this Mother's Day, prayers go out to all the wonderful loving Mothers who no longer have their sons with them!

Mother and one of her wonderful sons .... love it!! :-D

I remember what my mom said when I gave birth to my only child that no matter what you have thought, we are all different people. Each one of us will create our own path in life!

funnbunn, I have to disagree. There is much going on in the world of extreme fame that has nothing to do with what kind of parents someone had. Those with the best foundations and plenty of love and support have been pulled into the world of drugs and excesses that come with celebrity.

I really don't get this adoration of Leila.

OMG!!!! So cute!! So sweet!! :D

Role Models! Mother and Son respect, support and love each other. What's not to get?

GREAT picture of the 2 of them!!!

@5:01 I think you're taking the comment the wrong way. They're not blaming the mother, and saying that all the problems are her fault. But rather, they are saying that a close family and support network is important, so those that don't have a good relationship with family or don't have role models will have a harder time coping/are at a disadvantage (This is psychologically accurate of you've learned anything about it, and pretty common sense to me). Does it mean there will be problems? No, but if there are any, it could certainly be and tends to be part of the reason. Also, they were referring to both parents or whoever may fit that role model role, not just mothers. Having a good relationship with both/either is ideal/important.

The point about MJ was that he had a rough relationship with his father who was hard to please--MJ was affected by this. It's documented in various places, I know I've heard about it... Same with Elvis.

I'm not sure how you misconstrued their comment. It didn't insinuate blaming mothers at all--It was pretty clear to me. But hope that clears things up. :)

There are lot's of great moms out there.

Mine has never asked me to bring her weed butter though.

That's ridiculous. Good parents can have kids that go astray and kids without good parents can turn out great. The result of dropping either one into the music business or Hollywood is unpredictable.

What sweet photos. I look forward to this issue, anyone who has a great mom is blessed. Mine was my best friend.
Leila looks lovely, we share our hair style (only my hair is snow white).
Since most of us are fairly familiar with Adams relationship with his mom, it will be interesting to read about the other performers and their moms.
I'm 79 and still get a lump in my throat on Mothers Day and Father's Day and have a brief 'pity party'........feeling sorry for myself because I miss them.
Then I remind myself how lucky I was to have them for 50 yrs.

What a cool surprise this morning! Such a great picture of Leila and Adam. They adore each other and it's nice to know they keep in touch all the time. Adam is lucky to have such supportive parents. Leila and Eber are lucky to have such a talented, successful son who is a good person. Gotta get my copy!

Nice to see that little plus for The Original High, too.

For goodness sake. Its a mothers day issue. Take it for what it is.

Happy Mothers Day early to all of you! And happy memories that make you smile of all Moms who are no longer with us.

OT It looks like the rumors are true about a new band. None of the regulars performed with him today on Ellen.

@JAK ... I'm also on the 'sunny side of 80' (78 to be exact) and I feel so blessed to still have my Mom with me ... she lives with my oldest son (no longer able to care for herself .. 97 yo now) but I try to get to see her at least once a week (Sunday) ... I can't get out much anymore ... and we sit & talk about the days gone by (what we can remember) ... she is bed-ridden now but is determined to be supportive of ALL of us! She is a sweetheart & we ALL love her dearly. Mom is the GLUE that keeps us all together ... Thank GOD for Mom!!

They also say he performed about halfway into the show , not at the end as usual.

Did ADAM sit & talk with Ellen or just perform?

Oh my gosh, I would have bet my life on the end of the show, THANK YOU for posting! :)

@5:47 AM

In defense of the other poster @5:01am, who was responding to the poster @1:55am; since you are speaking in the terms of they; why are you to try and discipline them? They said exactly how they felt; and I don't think they took anything the wrong way; why don't you go and read their post again; and maybe you would understand them.
Why not let they speak for themselves since you may not know what you are talking about if in fact you are not them!!!! People should stop trying to control other people's thinking. Educate yourself; and stop picking on Adam's fans because things are said that you may not agree with.
They and them were both speaking of Mother's only in this instance; and of course you know that!!

Congratulations to Adam and his Mother and to all the other caring Mothers of this world!! Off to listen to my favorite Artist's cd. Have a great Adam Day Everyone!!

Why are you bringing fathers into this issue, seems to me the posters were talking about mothers. Why is it your business anyway! Go discipline members of your own family; not free thinking adults on this blog!

That Shazam interview (more than just the clip):

Spoiler Alert - few tidbits about Ellen appearance below, don't read on if you don't wanna know deets. :). I am sure the admins will be posting a thread soon anyway, but just FYI.

Re Ellen appearance, for those of you who need a little instant gratification like me :) - no interview/talk with Ellen, just a hug, band members not really noticeable (fog/dark lighting type of thing) but twitter says nobody in band particularly recognizable, backing track used, no whistler, lol... Anyway... I posted the twitter clip above. Hope I'm not offending anyone by putting info here; I thought some people might be peeking at this site on their phones at work or something and might want some instant gratification like me :). Hopefully I can catch Ellen on East Coast in late afternoon, but this stuff is nice in the mean time! LOL.

8:13 here, looks like some info was already posted above in thread, sorry for redundancy!!, I am rushing, lol!! Have a great day all.

Thank you 8:28!!

And thanks 8:31, yay Cam!! Good for her (whether we know if this appearance is a one time thing or whatever, good for Cam). Happy for Brian btw too, love Fancy's Goodbye track :). Hard working musicians, paying the bills doing what they like to do. :)

Yes I do like Leila, I was surprised to see her. This made my day. She is so pretty, and Adam looks a lot like her. Fruit doesn't fall very far from the tree as the saying goes. Adam and his mom are so special in many ways.

Anonymous said...

Lol special.

Elvis was very close to both his parents by the way.

gawd that exposed knee!

Why does Adam say in @malsherlock magazine? What is that? Or is it People magazine?

Adam corrected his tweet... I just posted his new one at the top of the page...

@ tess4ADAM.....you are blessed. Your mom sounds like mine. She was the warm sunshine in our family life and we all orbited around her.

@ 8:13 AM........nothing wrong with "instant gratification"
It can be quite satisfying ! ;-)
