Now, THIS Billboard post is great! I love that Adam has said that his song Ghost Town was already recorded and mixed when he and his team learned about Madonna's track and that his team said "so what?" because lots of songs have the same name. Went on to say that anyways his and Madonna's songs have totally different sounds and musical approaches. Love also that Adam was ALONE in Stockholm concentrating on the direction of his 3rd album, working with Max Martin and his team of A-plus producers, engineers and technicians.
What a good interview! Covered a lot of bases. I love when Adam talks about the creative process. He's such a thinker. He is good hands right now his producers and with Warner Bros. The more he hints about other songs on TOH, the more I can't wait to hear it.
Best interview of Era 3 so far!
I really enjoyed this very insightful and respectful interview and thanked Billboard for it. Good to know about the creative process that went into the making of TOH and GT. If I read the article right, there's more to come?
(Plus...why would Adam make a covers album of 80's songs if he doesn't even like the era that much?? Seems like good decisions have been made since the split from former label)
What a splendid interview!! Makes sense that Adam's music would be the focal point of this discussion as the dissection and analysis of music is part of what this fellow does .....
(and, delightfully, he happens to be a BIG Adam fan - a self ascribed 'Gambert' - which seems to make it pretty easy for him. Isn't he also the one that said he truly liked 'Trespassing', as well?)
The creative process of TOH ... It's origins, inspirations, progressions, and production is fascinating to hear Adam share about and I appreciate Keith C. exploring those details, the crafting stages of GT, along with the variant flavors and styles integration in TOH... "Something for everybody", as Adam says. Adam sounded so relaxed, free to share.... delighted (like a proud parent would talk about their child :)), and genuinely happy to be there. Articulate and highly cordial as always.... (wish I could see him in this one!). You can hear his smile throughout the interview :).
Very respectable, informative interview... And stellar promo for Adam - himself, as the compelling artist in his own right that he is - .... His current work ... and TOH.
Hoping these guys have lots of listeners!
