What a diagnostic chart on Ghost Town...'Last seen...' sounds as if the ghost disappeared lol! The official Ghost Town lyric video got 2 million views...perhaps the abstract video appeals to the computer-age public. Actually I like the windy, smoky effect blowing up bits and pieces of scraps. Strangely, it calls to my mind my father's passing away many moons ago; he was lying in his coffin at the wake and when the well-wishers left, my Mom burnt some gold painted papers/'money' to my Dad for him to use in the other realm. I remember a tunnel of wind blowing up the papers and ashes as if my Dad's spirit was present. She did that every night/morning after midnight. So this lyric Ghost Town video brings me back to that time. This video leaves room for imagination, intrigue and rumination. The actual video has Adam's face up front...his appealing features and emotions. Both videos have their own strengths.

What I'm going to relate is a real situation. When I attended a pottery art class years back, our lecturer one morning shared his ghostly encounter with us. It seemed he often had to get back to the college to check on the pots firing in the kiln. Our pottery class/the art department was on the basement floor. He said one night as he was back to switch off the kiln, he heard a whistling outside. His first thought was his colleague also came back to check on something; about 2 am I think, it was. After switching off the kiln, he left our art room and checked who the whistler was. He walked around the corridors, peeked here and there, but there was no one else; he thought it rather strange, whistling at 2 am lol! Maybe the ghost was scared seeing him.
Anyway, it was rumoured that the college building was haunted; it was a prison camp for the WWII captured prisoners many of whom died there. Chinese people believe when people die unnaturally, their spirits cannot dissipate and so they linger on.
By the way, I got good marks for the two pots I made, they were exhibited outside the basement art department alongside my silk-screen butterfly-motif fabric. I wonder if the whistling ghost liked them lol!
