'Ghost Town' sensation Adam Lambert has revealed that he wanted his new record to fit in with current trends and to be commercially accessible.
Speaking to Radio.com recently about his well received new album, 'The Original High', the superstar admitted that the main thing he wanted to achieve was to connect with his audience:
"I want to be part of a trend, I want to be able to connect with everybody.

Hi, Lam-My, I'm really impressed...but
unlike you, when it comes to Adam's future duets I can see only the empty half of the glass. And it is not his fault. I also think that Adam is THE PERFECT PARTNER, his ability/benevolence to adapt/accommodate/adjust himself to any partner, is great, what a shame that the world/his mates he seems to appreciate so much, are ,in my opinion a bunch of snobs, narcissists, most of them.It makes me sad , angry.I wonder, am I right to say that I often do feel kind of restraint from their part? People don't change as fast as , paradoxically, laws seem to change.
If I were his mother I'd remind him , from time to time , the words of a wise man:"Help yourself, then anyone will help you".

Does this statement that Adam wants to be "part of a trend" bug anybody else other than me? Don't most of us want to see him as a trend setter instead? I do. I just read through that thread where Adam discusses original work over a re-produced theater gig, and I'm confused.

@ Gabi.....yes, it bothers me. I think he is so determined that this album sell that he listened to the hit makers.......
Studio electronics overpower his voice in some of the songs. This is not a genre I feel complements his voice......,
Some of the songs are pretty good, but EDM is not a favorite of mine. There's a harshness to his voice and the music.

One of the things that bothers me is the denigration of his first two albums. Yes, FYE tour glammed and glittered it up, but Trespassing was a superior album, with many great reviews.....no glam! Since few of those songs made it on radio, does that mean they are just lost?
So many good songs, Shady, Chokehold, Underneath, Take Back, Map, Runnin.....and others.
I definitely do not understand the music business today. But I play those two albums with great pleasure.
