You go for it, Adam! Perform strong and proud. Walk the walk. Sing "There I Said It" with an even greater depth of meaning. Your best instruments of change are YOU and your VOICE and your WORDS and your HEART.

That's my advice to Adam. He has another chance to make a difference by example. No retreating, no hiding. This NYE performance will be a memorable one for sure.

Signed the Letion yesterday for Adam to play. Unfortunately he still
Must be a trailblazer while others get a free pass

BTW, this would be a good time to give ALN some extra Singapore Spins. Any support we can give Adam will be a good thing.

Some of the problem that some people have is the video of ALN. Parts are offensive for people who have personal strong beliefs about the gay lifestyle. Adam should have learned something from the AMA's kerfuffle, and stayed clear of less than family acceptance. I personally think that ALN is a great song and I like it better than any other in the whole album, but the video got low marks from me. Even with any homophobic responses, I believe with my whole heart, Adam is going to have an extremely successful 2016.

"less than family acceptance" ouch! I don't think that Adam Lambert has ever been like that, i.e. super G rated and I'm glad he puts it out there that many people live diverse styles of life and they are human also and deserve respect and understanding. I wouldn't want him to be any different than he is. That's the whole point that Adam Lambert is trying to get across that people need to be more accepting of diversity, and not demand conformity. If he tried to rein himself back, I think that would be damaging to who he is and to his art.

The difference between the AMAs and the ALN video is that the AMA performance was on broadcast TV and was not the rehearsed performance. People were taken unaware. Watching the ALN video is completely optional and private to the viewer. Many pop singers have extremely sexual videos. And IMO, there are no gay overtones in the ALN video. Yes, I know Gigi is a transgender person, but the casual viewer wouldn't know that unless they were told ahead of time. I sure wouldn't have guessed. She's just a beautiful woman, IMO. Adam and the male stripper are not gay in their roles. I think the video delivers a strong message about loneliness in general with no focus on any specific sexual orientation. I love the video, and yes, it's very sexy, and I like that, too. Continue to give SLN plenty of spins, everyone.

Adam cannot change "homophobic" beliefs. He has a strong belief that all are equal, I believe that too. Adam is all about love for everybody equally, I believe that too. But he cannot change the world or peoples religious beliefs. I don't think he has to worry about the so called "homophobic", because they will not support him in any way. There are plenty of other people who will support Adam, so he really has no problem, with his future career. He just needs to concentrate on his own life and happiness, and try not to make waves, which tend to make people react in a negative manner. There are quite a few people on this site, who have openly not agreed with all things that Adam does, but that does not stop them from following and supporting him. He is going to do well, despite the homophobic.
Adam is and certainly will in 2016 make a lot of money, not on the same level as some who can't sing worth a darn, but he works hard and earns every penny. He will probably be paid well from Queen, because they wouldn't be doing the concerts if it wasn't for Adam, he is the only one who can pull it off. He might wind up with more money than them, Forbes said their net worth was about 30,million for Roger, and 40 million for Brian. I will be interest to see Adam's net worth next year. Sorry I veered off the topic. Peace.

I fail to see anything objectionable on the ALN video ... aside from maybe the male stripper ... which to me is no worse than the widely acclaimed movie "Magic Mike" ... but certainly nothing homophobic in that video!! I think it tells a sad story about loneliness within the bright lights of Vegas especially after your 'shift' is over & you go home to your lonely room. I LOVE that video & I view it as often as I can on Ytube ... even have it on constant replay on a separate tab when I'm not at my computer so the count keeps getting higher!! Only people who WANT to find something wrong with it & can't are the ones who WILL object to it!! And to those detractors I say ... whatever floats your boat!! Can't please everyone ... find something else that IS to your liking!!

You have it on "Replay" or refresh? Make it's getting refreshed on a playlist. Replays and looping sites don't count

Make sure*

I thought the video for ALN was "just right"......the Vegas setting......the lonely lives, etc.
Where on earth did homophobia creep in?

Nanbert said...

Jak, you're right, there was nothing homosexual in the ALN video, but the objection pointed out that the male stripper was being "indecent". The "homophobic" was simply because Adam is homosexual, and it seems a lot of Singaporeans are against that. But it seems the main objection went all the way back to Adam's 2009 AMA performance -- 6 years ago, for goodness sake!

@I love The Light ... I have it on a separate tab on my computer from my personal playlist on Ytube along with Ghost Town & even when I am sitting at my computer doing other things on another tab I can hear it them both playing over & over even though I'm not at the Ytube site. Is this wrong? How can I make sure it counts? I'll keep playing them even if they don't count but how do I listen/watch & make it count? Thanx for any info you can help me with!!

Separate tab is not a problem. I think you're good if you're using a looped playlist on YouTube website.
Some people use 3rd party looping websites like Infinityloop which I don't think count because they replay the video without refreshing.

@I love The Light ... Here's how I have it set up ... Ghost Town & Another Lonely Night are playing on a separate tab apart from other videos which are also playing on their own separate tab ... plus I have a third tab to check in with 24/7 and another for doing anything else that isn't ADAM related ... so I think it's all good ... but I'll keep checking in to make sure they count when I'm not at my computer. Thanx for helping me understand what to do!!
