Love Adam's tats. Can't really tell what this will look like, but it will be down on his hand like his other arm.

All I can do is laugh when I see so many young people getting more and more tats. The reason I laugh is this. My late husband was a doctor and also a physical therapist and we bought a huge therapy department in a well-known hospital in Chicago. We ran that department with about 75-100 patients each day, 7 days a week, for nine years before we sold the department. It was so funny to see older men come in as patients with all of their tattoos which they had gotten in the 1940's through the early 1960's. You have to experience the sight of sexy tattos (dancing girls sparsely dressed were the most famous ones) on elderly men with their alligator skin. I love Adam's tats now, but I can't help thinking of him someday as an elderly gentleman with all of that on his freckled alligator skin. As a funny note, when my girlfriend reached 45 years old, many people asked her how she had so badly bruised her ankle. She went through a lot of pain to get her tat removed from embarrasment. G-d bless young people. None of us ever thought we could possibly see old age. However, Adam looks good at the present-his tats are at least classy to view. I have seen some really bad work on the college campuses, but I have also seen some incredible works of sheer art. Margarita Lady

OT @Jean Renard, I worked for 3 well known Chicago Orthopedists from the Strauss Surgical Group, Louis Weiss Hospital in the 1960s, Irwin Siegal, MD(Muscular Dystrophy), Levon Topouzian, MD, (Hip, joints and back surgery his specialty) & also worked a long time at Edgewater Hospital on a medical, surgical floor & in the newborn nursery when I was pregnant. This all may have been before your time, but wondered if you were familiar with any of them. I unfortunately remember many numbered tattoos on survivors from the Holocast, which greatly saddened me. Adam's are a work of art, along with many I've seen, but I still keep my art on the walls, as my tastes have changed over the years.

@FUNBUNN40, oh yes, my husband knew all the orthopedic doctors in Chicago. He worked in conjunction with them for many years, (my husband was over 25 years older than me and had finished medical school when I was born). Any excellent physical therapist had to have really good connections with the orthopedic doctors. Dr. Irwin Siegal was a good friend of my husbands. Dr. Siegal operated on my thumb when I was losing all the feeling in it due to a problem with the bone. My husband's brother, Dr. Murray Feldman, was Chief Of Staff at Walter Memorial Hospital and all of his friends were doctors, so Martin and I got to meet many of the well known Chicago doctors, orthopedic and specialists, at numerous parties and charities. My daughter was born in Edgewater Hospital so I am very familiar with it, plus we knew Weiss Hospital well since my husband's brother-in-law was Chief Of Staff there at one point in time. I terribly miss living in Chicago with all of the incredible doctors and hospitals there, but, of course, here in Scottsdale, AZ, we have two Mayo Clinics. Funbunn, nice to chat about the past in the great city of Chicago. Margarita Lady

I don't usually like tattoos, but they look good on Adam, our dear friend who passed away a while ago, had a big "Everton" tattoo (English football team) across his back,he donated his heart, lungs eyes, bone and skin and anything,he said, that was of use when he died, but he stated that nobody could have his Everton tattoo !! he was funny till the end,it's and individual thing, when I turned 60,I was going to have a little "something" (no idea what) tattooed somewhere out of sight, but chickened out at the thought of the pain ha ha( much to my husband's delight)

All it took was the 'buzzing' and I felt queasy and light headed. I wasn't even getting one, my friend was getting a tiny blue butterfly to celebrate being 40.

My dad got a tattoo in the Navy during WWII, before I was born. So I always saw it and just accepted it. Some guys look very sexy with tats, IMO. Adam is one of them. I know how amusing it can be to see old guys still sporting the tats of their youth. Kind of tells the story of their lives.

OT @Jean Renard, Such a small world & enjoyed your Chicago memories. I may have even cared for your baby daughter when born in Edgewater. David Turow, MD (OB/GYN)was also a personal friend & I also worked for him in Old Orchard, as well as at Edgewater. I have so many fond memories of those wonderful days & relationships. Adam definitely has brought a lot of us together & it's been a great experience meeting so many Glamberts in my travels. I'm really looking forward to The Original High Tour, hopefully many in the US.
