Such a touching birthday present for Adam
How on earth did he achieve this immense fandom
Right across the globe, so much freedom
To bare one's heart and soul
Like these lovely Brazilians
Well, Adam once sang: You get back what you give away
Yea, respect begets respect in return
And that's what the world needs right now
Throw in some love for one another
Like Adam's Rock voice that soars into the ether
So Adam is 34...
Well, well...Happy Birthday Adam! from Singapore! lwl!

IN HONOR OF ADAM LAMBERT'S BIRTHDAY ... ADAM'S CANVAS

From the universe beamed a heavenly light
Today it birthed a newborn star
The cosmos delivered a spectacular sight
To celebrate new breath afar.

Rise early from sleep his loved ones dear
Choose fine brushes, now to start
Though the tapestry blank, but non to fear
Apply bold strokes from your heart.

This nouveau life, fini palette to see
You must depict within a frame
Sketch leaves and branches, soul's soaring tree
Shall lend his opus fame.

Use gold, use silver, and magnificent clouds
The brightest moon and stars embrace
A halo may his hair enshroud
And brilliance be his face.

Capture strength and beauty he'll exude each day
Paint his ship with powerful sail
An everlasting scene, artists to portray
Adam's canvas then unveil!

By Margarita Lady (With special love to Adam Lambert upon the occasion of his 34TH birthday)

Okay back to reality...I really like this a lot! Margarita Lady. Adam's canvas indeed ! which I kept throwing splashes of psychedelic paint on. Some stuck, well some didn't. lol!

Margarita Lady.....I do hope that Leila and Eber hear about your beautiful verse and read it with joy and pride. Fate has blessed Adam and he inspires his fans, not just with his spectacular good looks and his soaring beautiful voice, but with his cheerful, generous, kind nature.

PS.....do you have room for another student in your class? Me!

Thank you so much JAK and LAM-MY for your kind words. WOW! What poetry we could create for Adam if the three of us would join together for a class. Adam just makes words flow from our hearts. It is such a pleasure to have the both of you as Glambert friends though our actual propinquity exists in the electronic world. Margarita Lady

Margarita Lady... Your idea of 'Adam's Canvas' sets me on my usual rumination path...I interpret 'Adam's Canvas' within two concepts. Adam is the Canvas himself, as well. Adam uses himself as a canvas as seen in his changing fashions, colours, strokes, his voice too...a singing Canvas, lwl! Like his TOH outfit mirroring Chinese origin, paints something of antiquity and his psychedelic jacket captured by the stage lasers, portrays modernity etc. All the tools he uses to 'paint' himself.
Your poem captures his Canvas of life...still ongoing, more to be 'unveiled' in 'an everlasting scene'. Thank you.

@LAM-MY, you are a deep thinker just like me. Before I wrote Adam's poem, I gave it a lot of mental preparation. When I was a young girl, I remember sitting in Literature classes and having to dissect important American and English writings and poetry. Edgar Allan Poe was one of my favorites to study because of our literal interpretations of his works, yet present always, his hidden and deeper meanings. I always remember the teacher saying to us, "Yes, that is the literal meaning of the piece, but, tell me the deeper, more hidden meaning." To this day, I am enthralled with the deeper side of poetry. When I wrote "ADAM'S CANVAS", I wanted to create words that would really make a poetry lover think about the different sides to the poem. The painters, as important a job as they have, which is to paint, IS REALLY helping to create the innate beauty of the subject in their painting. It is a burden that actually falls on their shoulders to provide the atmosphere for the subject which will enable him to emanate his qualities. Understand, the subject, as he goes through time, will absorb the painters' love of life and positivity, therefore, to build the layers of the painting. You are so right! Adam is actually the canvas and all of his incredible antics just make the painting more rich as his time goes by. But, only because he was given all the basic love a child needs to flourish, can he be enabled to radiate his beauty. His everlasting scene will take place at the end of his life, therefore, his painting is still being created. In my poem, I wanted to command to parents, a great gift was given to you at the birth of your child, and it is your responsibility to provide the love and affection that this child will need to create their beautiful canvas of life. Luckily, because Adam was special, his parents provided to him what he needed to flourish and to accept his road less traveled by. Praise be to Leila and Eber, his painting is breathtakingly stunning and we are only to imagine the FINAL OPUS! Margarita Lady

Thank you again Margarita Lady... yes I got the gist of your implication about parents nurturing their child they have been gifted with; just like you say, Adam got very enlightened parents who not only provided the environment but the love so he could find his life path and fulfillment from as young as age 10.
Actually, I don't purposely delve into things but they simply fly in; like Adam once said regarding something sexual...'not within my control' lwl! It goes to show your poem has depth to dig into my ruminating mind.
