Adam Lambert tweeted his sadness about the tragic terrorist act (7-14-16) in Nice, France, with a "broken heart" symbol, and a heart with the colors of the French flag..

He later added (on 7-15-16) the same message/photo to his Instagram page: "Heartbroken".

We've updated our post here to reflect both messages.

This is so heartbreaking. Recently my first thoughts when this violence happens is that we have a political party and candidate that is saying more people should be carrying guns. Yes I know this is a truck, but the mind set that is dominating the US is horrifying.

My thoughts and prayers are focusing on the victims of Nice. I can't find the words to express my true concern to them.

Of course this is terrible for France and my heart and prayers go out to all the innocent people effected by this tragedy. But, when you have loved ones vacationing abroad you realize there is no safe place on this earth and its very difficult not to be afraid for them. Must be live in fear? What a sad world our children and grandchildren must live in. I hope our world leaders are paying attention. Something must be done.

Will this ever end? ISIS is determined to slaughter anyone in their path. How do we prevent these murders? I don't know if there is a way. These people pop out of nowhere in the midst of huge crowds. We cannot check out every person everywhere every second of every day.

BTW, did Adam create that heart graphic. It kind of looks like his style. I think it's VERY good!

I find my shoulders tensing up when my husband brings the morning paper in.....
What terrible thing happened and where.....while we were sleeping?
Such wickedness, such hatred. Where can you be safe in today's world?
I am by nature a worrier.....but this is almost beyond belief.
My heart feels wrung out with grief.
