Adam Lambert, a judge on The X Factor Australia Season 8, threw his shoe at 15-year-old contestant, Natalie Ong, following another one of her powerhouse performances.
After slaying in the audition round, Natalie once again impressed judges in the “Three Seat Challenge” stage, which was aired on Sunday night, Oct. 16.
Performers are grouped into Unders, Overs and Group categories, with Natalie and 11 others placed in the Unders group as they are under 22 years old.
Judge Adam Lambert could only pick three out of the 12 to advance to the next stage.
The judging panel consisted of first Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and American Idol runner-up Lambert.
Natalie was the last performer of the night and had to oust one of the three performers already chosen for the three seats.
Natalie earned high praise from the judging panel with her cover of Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind.

Wonder if that "shoe throwing incident" is a theatre tradition... sort of like telling someone to "break a leg".
Of course... one might "break a leg" if you threw a shoe at them hard enough! LOL
