In a recent interview, legendary rock band Queen discussed their upcoming nationwide tour and how much Freddie Mercury would’ve loved their new frontman, Adam Lambert.

Lambert first connected with Queen during the American Idol season finale in 2009 when they stunned audiences around the world with an electrifying performance of “We Are The Champions.” Response was so positive that they began talks for a tour, which they carried out to great success in 2014.
Now, Lambert, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are back at it again with plans to hit the road this summer. Ahead of their forthcoming tour, the trio sat down for a conversation with Entertainment Tonight about what it’s like working together.
“We didn’t plan it. It just happened really,” May said. “Along came Adam, out of the blue. We saw him on American Idol and we’d already had an avalanche of messages saying already, ’This is the guy you need to sing for you! You should do this!’ We felt good about it, so organically, suddenly, we were a band again. We’re like family. It’s amazing.”

The events leading up to Adam as Queen Frontman are sort of choreographed by destiny. At the beginning, Simon started the ball rolling at Adam's S8 audition. He critiqued that Adam sounded theatrical after he sang MJ's I Wanna Rock With You. An immediate retaliation erupted stipulating they were judging voice not the background/style.
At this stage, Adam was planning his next move lol! Jittery that he would not be picked for the next round, he came in with his killer instinct; he suggested he would like to sing another song. Lo and behold...the skies opened. Adam sang: Mama, I killed a man...
Hardly did he realise, that was the tip of the iceberg that was going to capture the attention of Queen people who suggested they took a look at Adam's performances on AI/S8. When eventually Queen collaborated with Adam and Kris at the S8 Finale...the deal was 80% sealed in the minds of Brian and Roger. lwl!
Yes, definitely, Freddie Mercury would have loved Adam who sings his songs so brilliantly!

I just caught a part of ET this evening ... they had a good deal of ADAM & QUEEN on ... my hubby caught most of it ... once again I had no knowledge of them being on so I was happily sitting in front of my computer not paying any attention to the TV when my hubby said ADAM's on TV. Well being hard of hearing I would have missed it completely had he not called my attention to it!! ADAM, Brian & Roger were all three on & they showed clips from some of the concerts. Darn I wish I could find that online ... maybe Glitzylady or someone could research it & post it .... maybe if they could ... please?? Thanx!!
