Haha...I'm at least 60 years too old to wear a "comments/announcements/ads" tee-shirt like that... except at an Adam or QAL concert. In fact, I DO have an Official QAL tee-shirt I'll be wearing to their coming tour this summer...but ONLY there.
An aside...I'm constantly amazed (and often repelled) by all the slogans, writings, comments, ads, etc. that people wear these days.... like walking billboards.
It's more attractive and wonderfully refreshing to see people wearing plain tee-shirts now and then, IMO. They seem more comfortable in their own skins...no need for announcements about themselves or their opinions/preferences...IMO.
I'm sure most of you will disagree---as most of you are much younger, and aren't used to seeing anything different--- but I can remember when the only markings on a shirt were the tiny Ralph Lauren polo horse on the breast...or some other brands' tiny insignias that copied that trend! At the time, many people considered THAT too pretentious! Go figure!
I suspect most of the time we fans wear non-slogan/message clothing of course.. however, sometimes it's fun to wear your message/heart on your shirt (or sleeve) if the mood strikes..
In my humble opinion, you're never too old to share your love of a place, a thing, a band, an artist, or a message, serious or humorous..
This shirt would be fun to wear to an Adam Lambert concert obviously, or just in support of Adam, his music, his message.. It can open an opportunity to introduce someone to the amazing man who is Adam Lambert.
Just a fun thing for a fan who might be interested in this shirt.........
And to be honest, I suspect some people (like our friends and family members) would beg to differ a bit with this message (the "I don't need therapy" part)...
:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
NANBERT I believe Adam shirt it may be dressed with pride at any age. I have a shirt with photo of Adam the Original High Tour made a gift to me by my husband for my birthday last year.I always wear it on the street.
I like an occasional message tee-shirt. I have an Adam shirt from his Idol days and get lots of smiles in public even tho it's 'low key' message. Good to know they know who Adam is.
I do tend to judge the ones that are advertising a brand. The brand should be paying us to wear them.
Thanks for the "I don't need therapy" laugh, glitzylady. I tend to look over my shoulder for the possible intervention. If it happens I plan on bursting into tears and asking why they want to take Adam from me. lol
Quite so, Glitzylady....Actually, my family would probably buy that tee-shirt for me, if they saw it, since they think I'm a bit nuts to be such an avid Adam fan at my age...and probably think I do need therapy.
To be absolutely fair, I can see the value of SOME adorned tee-shirts, like the above, because they might attract like-minded people ...like other Adam fans.
I've been tempted to wear my Queen and Adam Lambert shirt... thinking I might attract a fellow Adam fan or two...since I don't know any where I live. I would call it "trolling for fellow Adam fans"... but I always lose my nerve! It would be fun to have an Adam fan/friend here.
I myself can't wear t-shirts .. period!! First of all .. I don't go anywhere & secondly they look horrible on me!! But .. that doesn't stop me from buying them as gifts for others .. e.g. ... bought a t-shirt for my grandson with a full blown picture of a beagle that looked just like our OLD Girl who we lost 3/15 .. he misses her so .. and for our recent 50th anniversary I bought my hubby a t-shirt ... Loving Life as Husband & Wife since 1967!! So even if I don't ever wear it .. I'll still buy it to support ADAM plus I can always look at it & Smile!! In my case it should say ... Why should I need Therapy ... I Listen to ADAM LAMBERT!!
tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
I would buy a large t-shirt and wear it to bed.
Sweet dreams.
During troubled times, and there have been many for me, I have always told my family and friends that I turn on Adam's music or a video of him as my "Adam Therapy". It truly does allow me to escape from my troubles for awhile. That being said, I just may have to buy this t-shirt!
In my country it is very cool to dress at a shirt with your favorite singer or band.
Yeah Mirela...for you young people...but I bet NOT "very cool" for 84 year old women! Take a look, and let me know if you see any. LOL
BTW...Is this an "official" Adam tee-shirt? I checked it out again, and see the company's name is "Sun-Frog". In other words, is Adam getting the money for this...or is it made by an unaffiliated company?
Anyone know?
Never mind...I checked again, and I see the second photo was sent by Gelly, so I know its an authorized Adam shirt.
Nanbert I'm not young (54 years) and dress shirt with a picture of Adam. My husband is 60 years old and has a nice shirt with the image of John Lennon big as all shirt that he wear even at work (he is an engineer). I thought America is a country more nonconformist about the clothes than Romania (my country) where he was communist until 1989.
I had a 78-year old aunt who started wearing everything she felt like because at her age she was free to do whatever she wanted. Not having to dress for work or to find a partner. I already feel that way and I'm two decades younger.
And I'll wear this to therapy :>).
84 years old . . She can wear and do whatever . . Love and Light

I'm sure you all are quite right. I admit I'm too timid to "branch out".
First, my family would be embarassed, and I would be very self-conscious if I started wearing "embellished" tops... at my age, people would think I'm starting to "lose a few screws"!
So... just like I wear/wore my Steelers shirt during a Steelers game...and my Hillary Clinton shirt during campaign rallies... I will proudly wear my Queen and Adam Lambert shirt to their concert this summer..where no one will "look askance" at me... or wonder at my mental health...because it's right and proper to dress that way at their concert... to display my love and admiration..and show that I'm a BIG, BIG, BIG FAN!!!!!
@Nanbert
Sounds like you wear your shirts at just the "right" time for you.. That's all that matters!
I do think the point that we're all making here is that we do what is right for each of us.. I have a friend who wears her Adam Lambert shirts everywhere proudly, and often. And she's always thrilled when people comment "Oh Adam Lambert!! I love him!!" and it happens a fair amount.. She lives in Southern California in the LA area and is completely comfortable showing her admiration for Adam..
I do have to say that I do wear message shirts occasionally.. I personally don't think if we're over 30 we must be more dignified and sedate.. But whatever works for each of us. My favorite Adam Lambert shirt by far is the official fan club womens (juniors) cut dark grey t-shirt with Adam's name and "Ghost Town" on the front that came with the "The Original High" package via the Fan Club.. It's a simple design and easy to wear.. I also have a Queen + Adam Lambert shirt (also women's/juniors style) that I bought in 2014 at a QAL concert that I wear when the mood strikes.. I prefer women's cut shirts because I'm petite and the men's T-shirts are too big & bulky for me. But I do like the idea of sleeping in them :))) But that's another subject.. haha!
I'm fortunate in that my family are all fans (of all ages) and they are just fine with me wearing them.. You might be pleasantly surprised if you wear a shirt around your family. But yes, it's a personal choice..
I posted this shirt ad because I thought it was fun.. and funny! Because we fans do get a little crazy sometimes.. At least I know I do!!! Because we love to support Adam in every way possible.. Because he's worthy and wonderful.. And for many fans, theraputic in so many ways.. And probably even to the point of changing and saving lives by his example of being comfortable with himself and proud of who he is.. And being an amazing singer.....
Nanbert should not you care what people think around you if you feel good and like to wear something. Adam is the best example.
BTW ... I ALSO wore my Queen and Adam Lambert tee shirt when I dressed to go to the Adam Lambert TOH concert in Clearwater, Florida (where I traveled to go with my son and family, who live in Tampa).
Unfortunately, that was the ONLY TOH concert that was cancelled!!!...at the last moment!!!... Heartbreaking!
