Well, well, well...Truck'N Roll is moving again. Here's my 3rd poem...1st one (2014 June) 2nd (2016).

QAL convoy rumbles and trundles
All ready to entertain thousands in world arenas
Not only do they bring peace
With heightened anticipation
To watch Queen Frontman is a genuine treat
His super tenor soaked in love, a feast
Truck'N Roll, their itinerary home
A little nomadic, like cowboys they roam
With preparations meticulous to the bone
To take them across counties, time zones
Their wheels of fortune turning
Spotlighting Freddie Mercury
Who Wants To Live Forever
The Show Must Go On
In classic Adam vocals
I Want To Break Free, sexy to a T
Radio Ga Ga, cheery camaraderie
At times Brian is brought to tears
Roger is all eyes and ears
Watching out for Adam's hand
To send his drums trembling to the end
Brian, Roger, Adam...shoulder to shoulder they stand
To dream their impossible dream
Touch the stars...Rock and rolling with Queen

So exciting to see! It's gonna really happen!

I wonder how many of those 18 wheelers they'll have this time. I seem to remember that they had a total of 18 trucks like this on their last tour in North America. It was very impressive to see a photo all of them parked together...Wow!

This photo is very methodically taken. I like pictures of a long stretch of road and in perspective ending far away, the two sides meeting at a point which they do not; always imagine I'm walking on the long load. lwl! Actually, not sure why...perhaps it takes me somewhere.

'Long load' ...see, I got distracted by the long road. lol!
Reminds me of fly lice / fried rice... powderful / powerful; I don't hear these anymore, an era whizzed by, kind of miss that era many moons ago in Singapore. People are now more sophisticated.

Now this one is a classic:

An SIA hostess had just served some scrumptious meatballs to a well-attired gentleman who was enjoying his meal on the plane. SIA hostess in her blue sensuous kerbaya/blouse, fitting long skirt, pushed her shiny trolly along the isle and politely asked the western gentleman digging into the meatballs:

Would you like some sauce on your balls?

I am not making this up, it was reported. lwl! So LKY, his no-nonsense demeanour, called for an upgrading of Singapore English and lo and behold, yes, it improved with various up-to-date teaching methodology. But before that became a norm sort of, Singlish popped up in all its glory.
Examples of Singlish which more or less diminished:

Singlish: He take go already. / He has taken it.

Why he anyhow do things? / Why does he do it this way? / Why doesn't he do it properly?

I cannot ownself do. / I can't do it myself.

Well, that's a very brief history of Singaporeans grappling with English which till today is our main official language.
