Adam Lambert is set to perform at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Satuday October 7 at the Point Foundation (Point) Gala.

The gala will honour the TV and film writer, director and producer, Jill Soloway.
Jill Soloway has written episodes for 'Six Feet Under', 'Grey's Anatomy', and has won directing awards from the Sundance Film Festival for both her films 'Una Hora Por Favora' and 'Afternoon Delight'.

She identifies as non-binary and gender non-conforming, preferring to use the gender-neutral pronoun of 'they'.

Michelle Collins, the comediene and talk show host, will host the event.  Collins has co-hosted 'The View' and 'All My Gay Friends Are Getting Married'. She launched her own podcast, 'Fresh Batch,' this year (2017)

The article above says, about the honoree, Jill Soloway....."she identifies as non-binary and gender non-conforming, preferring to use the gender-neutral pro-noun of 'they'...."

I don't even understand what that description means!!!! And...THEY?!!!!

I always thought "they" was a plural pronoun.

P.S. Wonder why she doesn't use the gender-neutral pro-noun "it"?....at least that's singular.

Don't misinterpret me here...I am NOT making fun of this, or being critical...I'm just trying to understand it.
