This year’s TRNSMT festival was already looking spectacular but it’s now absolutely unmissable with the addition of one final headline act – Queen and Adam Lambert.
Founding members of Queen Brian May and Roger Taylor have found a new lease of life since they started working with the young American Idol star, as anyone who caught their immense show at the SSE Hydro in 2015 will attest.
Adam, 36, loved that gig as much as any of the fans, so it’s no surprise he’s keen to play here again - this time at TRNSMT.
He said: “I’m so excited to come back to Glasgow .
“That last time we played at the Hydro was insane. People were going crazy. It’s famously a great place to play as Scottish fans are so boisterous and responsive.

Good for QAL... that festival will be the BEST ever when QAL "storms" in!

Stormy set? Wonder if they'll make a change somewhere or will it be the same shows we've been/listening.

Sunflower... from what I've read of these festivals, they won't usually do a complete show like on their tour....since there are other bands who play that day too. They'll maybe do about a 25 minute performance or so....with probably their heavier rock songs. But, since they're "closing out" that day...and the festival too, I think...it might be a longer performance.

What a blast for that festival! And prestige for QAL!

Where is my head? Nanbert you're right, it might not be the complete show as we know it but as you say a 25 minute performance. I forgot there's other bands performing, Reading back that it says "storming set", now I understand. Yes, they could also perform longer than 25 or 30 minutes. Hopefully us fans can see a stream of this.

I hope so....or certainly have some good videos afterwards.

Regarding the upcoming TRNSMT festival in Glasgow and the amount of time Queen + Adam Lambert will play:

This is a FULL music festival, not just a radio promo type gig like QAL did at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas in 2013 (even though that was EPIC!). There they and most other artists played a 40 (plus or minus) minute amount of time..

They will undoubtedly play a full concert set list as they did at the festivals they played in 2016, including Isle of Wight and many more. At Isle of Wight they played 25 songs, as they did at other shows they did at the Festival Tour during that summer.

As an example, in looking back at a setlist of a band that played the TRNSMT festival last year (2017), Radiohead played 25 songs.

I fully expect Queen + Adam Lambert to do the same.

Good for them! I had no idea they had played full concerts at the previous festivals.

Thanks for the information glitzylady. Even more reason to hope for streaming! Lucky concert-goers!
