Ok, so it sounds like Adam is still writing? Thought he was just about done writing and recording for A3? Oh well. We'll find out!

Helloo AdminFan...since you've been gone...so long
I had to carry on somewhere beyond 24/7 oasis pond lwl!
So Adam seems to be hinting A Change is going to come
On AI 2009, he sang 'A Change...'
That succumbed to a terrible shortchange
He fell...but got up, dusted himself and rode on
This time round, it won't be a con
A movie or documentary as enunciated
Wearing an EU royal-blue sweater and nerd glasses
Seems to give away somewhat of what's gonna effloresce
It would have been a phenomenal foray
If he had played Jesus Christ Superstar in the recent stage-play

Correct! And they kill Originality and New ideas...O just a few thoughts...
Writing is about putting down your own thoughts and expressing them as originally and concisely as possible. And that can only happen when the mind is still, at peace with oneself and not bombarded incessantly by the likes emphasised in Adam's Instagram.
Also, lifting chunk after chunk of other people's works shows you can't think not write nor express on your own! Rigmarole paraphrasing is boring! Stating of bold captions double or triple times is redundant and repugnant! Goodness gracious!

Spell check (above) : can't think nor write nor express...

ADAM has said that he prefers to write with others .. they get an idea then add to it until it's a full blown song lyric .. don't know if they fit the words to the music or vice versa ... either way he likes collaborating rather than solo writing!!

Self writing and collaborative writing serve different purposes, I feel. In Adam's case, he has to incorporate his lyric into a music score and he doesn't play an instrument like piano or keyboard to be able to do that. I've seen on video how he hums/sings the tune to a musician on a keyboard or piano to incorporate the lyric of the song to the music, collaboratively.
Freddie on the other hand, writes and composes by himself at the piano, fusing the lyric and music into his song at one go. To me that's more intense and emotionally satisfying; of course Queen Band works as a whole in the final product.
Having said that, Adam's skill and power in the delivery of his songs still reigns supreme.

As the saying goes: The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Analogically, the proof of the song is in the singing. Actually it also depends on: the singer not the song or the song not the singer...these days. The truth of the matter is, both; one can't do without the other. lol!

It didn't seem to matter whether ELVIS or Frank Sinatra or loads of other singers from the past wrote the songs that they sang ... they just hired someone to do the writing for them & that didn't stop them from being recognized as relevant singing stars!! Not everyone who can sing beautifully can also write music .. another case in point .. Luciano Pavarotti!! I think people nowadays expect too darn much from these stars!! Why shouldn't they collaborate if that's the way they feel more comfortable writing?? Freddie went to college & majored in music .. I don't think the ones who write music are any better than those who just perform beautifully!! That's just like saying that if I can't bake my own cake then nobody will want to eat it if I went out & bought it from a professional baker!! I know that sounds a little far-fetched but it runs in the same vein .. IMO!!

Nothing in my comment suggests the best singers are the ones who write their own songs! You missed the crux of my comment! Perhaps you are not addressing my comment.

I still think writing the lyric, fusing it into the music score at one go by the artist/singer is more intimate, has a special connection, more wholesome, self-satisfying. Collaboration has its own merits as well and has worked for Adam; gone on 3 Album world tours. His emotion, power, projection bring out his songs with so much sophistication, love.
The song I feel most connected to, is written by Adam himself.

"This is the song that I wrote about how it feels that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you're just running from the law."

By Adam Lambert on Outlaws of Love.
