Handsome photo of Tommy. Nice that he and Adam are still close friends.

Kinda miss those early days with Tommy. Hope he's keeping busy and doing well.

Frankly, I don't miss the "Adommy" "kissing-during-the-FYE-performances" era. I think it was polarizing to fans and prospective fans...many were turned on by it, but many were also turned off...especially on the heels of the unfortunate AMA performance.

I was delighted to see their relationship return to just band members/friends on their next tour...especially since Tommy is actually straight. He is very cute and charming, and a great guitarist and friend. Perhaps they will perform together again in the future.

However, Adam's band on "The Original High" tour was absolutely fabulous!....especially that amazing guitarist, Adam Ross! I hope he will tour with Adam on his next tour... he can REALLY SHRED! His solo work during the interludes (while Adam was changing) was superb.

I hope Adam gets some really great musicians for his next solo tour. Actually, I'd like to see him expand it a little with some orchestral stuff or some brass or whatever. I'd love to see him develop a bigger "sound" with some more presence to it. Don't get me wrong. I've loved everything Adam has done. But I'd like to see this new phase be really strong and attention-getting in a totally new way.

Dee R Gee...I know what you mean by "bigger sound"....more like Queen's monumental orchestration...which works so well with Adam's voice (and vice versa). But I guess it largely depends on what Adam's new music is like.... and would a "bigger sound" be right for it.

But, speaking of "bigger sound" and "orchestral stuff", I've often thought that Spike Edney's organ/keyboard playing with QAL does not get anywhere near the praise it deserves. And that Queen organ/keyboard is a very special one. I saw him on a video demonstrating its versatility a few years ago. He called it an organ.

Spike is a MASTER musician, and he builds a great atmosphere and presence into any song....and sort of "fills out" and dramatizes the music for us. I like the way he works with Adam...sorta off the cuff...and watches him like a hawk to inject or stop the sound as Adam indicates by his actions...or a flick of his hand.

QAL's sound now is generally "bigger and more orchestral" than the early Queen's because of the addition of the organ/keyboard. The early Queen had only the piano, originally played by Freddie, but later by Spike in 1984...after which they added the keyboard/organ to their sound.

BTW...most Glamberts know this, but for those who don't, Spike Edney was the one who first alerted Brian May and Roger Taylor to Adam Lambert on American Idol....and the "rest is history" as they say.

Happy Belated Birthday Tommy! I had the pleasure of meeting this cutie in Indiana after the Glamnation Tour concert. Of course Adams ex friend Monte Pittman was with him, so I met Monte too. Lol
