Adam Lambert On Instagram: "Insomnia" & "Fine Tuning" Shooting Music Video?? Adam Responds To Fans About His Hair, He's Excited, more

Apparently Adam couldn't sleep last night (who could with all of the exciting things going on in his busy life right now..), posted a photo of himself, and a photo of some recording studio equipment.. He also responded to a demanding fan's *suggestion* that he cut his hair: "Cut yours..", and more. (Can's blame him for being a little testy re someone telling him what to do..his hair, his choice, plus it looks good, clearly). See the various photos and convos below.

New music video in the works!!!!!!!!! Can't get much better than that!!!

And just watched the documentary!
Highlights for me (besides all of it):

Repeated huge praise for Adam from Brian and Roger, giving Adam love and respect both as a singer and as a person.
Stellar WWTLF performance after that recent mass shooting.
Eber and Leila's comments. Priceless!
Simon Cowell offered rare public praise.
Adam's deep and sincere humility and gratitude through it all.
Nice progression through Idol Season 8

Lovely perspective on Freddie and the love within Queen. And it still exists today.
Roger Taylor's deep dislike of musical theater. LOLOLOLOL

I especially loved feeling like I was a small part of the success of the whole phenomenon of Queen's rebirth. Getting to know Brian and Roger has been real treat. It's easy to see why Adam feels like such an integral part of the band.

Loved every minute of it!

One of the things that stands out for me is that Brian and Roger must have been on a roller coaster ride in their minds trying to decided if Queen was really over or not after Freddie died. It must have been emotionally exhausting. Then Adam appeared on Idol and their friends were contacting them. And they were interested. This to me is proof that there was always hope that Queen would rise again. And their hope is now a reality.

If I had not already adored the three lovely hugely talented men I would of last night. There admiration and love for Adam us fantastic and he deserves all of it.
Great show already watched 3 times sure be more to come while doing chores.
So interesting the music phenomenal
At the end Rodger said no one out singing Adam Lambert.
Chris Connely was one of them bragging on Adam yesterday noon news. Tired sure more discussions later. I was so proud of Adam and R and B what a long way Adam has come since Idol unbelievable really. He came off on this show so sweet and humble because he is.
There may never be another FM I'm telling you there will never be another Adam Lambert either.

Sadly, I wasn't able to see "The Show Must Go On" or record it so I hope it's uploaded on YouTube. Anyway, from all accounts, it was excellent!

It's interesting that Roger has a deep dislike for musical theatre as he and Brian have always been behind their Queen musical "We Will Rock You" which is fantastic and still going strong.

so glad he has a new music video in the works, surely it must coincide with the new single and
be in place at the start of the QAL tour?, which would obviously then provide lots of publicity off the back of it also for his solo album? I'm sure he has finished the album by now (as he said he has more songs than needed on an album a while back, just needed to choose which ones go on it )Typically a UK group, etc the UK will be the last to see this documentary, thank goodness for downloading !!

I've already watched the entire show twice!! And smiled throughout each time. It just made me soooo happy to see Queen's history and then the beginning of their collaboration with Adam. The documentary truly showed Adam's talent, and their love for Adam . I loved that it showed so many instances of Adam singing their iconic songs to perfection! I could go on and on but, suffice it to say, I am one very happy Adam fan that is thrilled with this documentary. Love - Love!

OT
ELVIS fans .... I'm looking at you, LAMBERT Outlaw! .... an Elvis biopic is going to be made, starting production some time this year. The actor for Elvis has yet to be named. Tom Hanks will play Elvis's manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

Patria said...

an Elvis biopic! That sounds like a really tough thing to pull off when we've got a continuous stream of Elvis impersonators.

Patria said...

Another thought on the Elvis biopic. In case anyone thinks it could be a part for Adam, I think they will need an actual guitar player. I'd hate to see Elvis done with an air guitar.

Insomnia and Fine Tuning are two of his new songs, I presume. Can't wait!

Rami M lip sings or mixes his vocal with FM recordings who vocals were way stronger. It ok for him to lip sink the entire movie but bo air guitar. Oviously Adam could sing Elvis vocals all himself and blow it away with no sweetening or auto tune.
Elvis performed many times with put a guitar. But oviously the specials ect and some concerts he used it.
Seems more important to me to do your own vocals many have instrument dubbing in movies. Rm did a great acting job and deserved the oscar but he did not do his own singing.
I have no idea if Adam cares a bit about doing it or had time. They may already have some actor already.
But what ok for one should be also fair and ok for another.
Correction that was without a guitar.
Correction but no air guitar?
Had to replace my washing machine today have lot of work putting stuff back together they had to move ect to get the machine in got stuff to do. But let's face it Hollywood uses lots of smoking mirrors. To me the vocals of Elvis would be most important.

Watching the Doc again, and seeing a pic of Adam and Linda Perry with the Michael Hutchence like hair. I LOVE, LOVE IT

Sue, in "Bohemian Rhapsody", I've read several times that Rami's voice was mixed with Freddie's voice and Marc Martel's voice. Rami has said in interview that he took singing lessons for the movie. In any event, all the singing in the movie sounds like Freddie's voice.

Sue Smith said...

Someone said on here the other day 99percent of the vocals were FM recordings. Less than 1 percent they used MM vocals in a couple scenes. They did recordhosvocals but were able to use mostly FM.yesit was mixed in with RM voice to make it look authentic. But your only really hearing FM vocals.
A very minute amounts MM vocals. I believe it was Nanbert who quoted the article which is coming from a reliable source that worked on the movie.
I'm not sure it was Nanbert but I believe it was or one of the reliable people on the site.
Correction they did record his vocals but only used a minute amount of it. I had heard it was a very small amount did not know it was that small. I think they needed a back.up in case something did not work. I do agree all you here is FM voice. However it got done it came out well.

Rosemary White said...

Only Brian and Roger know exactly how the voices were mixed. They would've been in control of that aspect of the film, along with most other aspects. Marc Martel's name was listed in the movie credits so obviously his voice was used.

https://www.radiox.co.uk/news/tv-film/does-rami-malek-sing-in-bohemian-rhapsody-queen/

"Malek's vocals are mixed together with master tapes of Freddie Mercury's vocals and that of Marc Martel, who has become famous for his uncanny likeness to the Queen frontman's in his YouTube videos. Speaking to Metro News in 2018, Malek revealed: "It is an amalgamation of a few voices." Feb 25, 2019

Sue Smith said...

It was used but very minutely. There are other articles that say what I said above. Even GL said his voice was used minutely. They recorded his voice for alot of the songs. Because they were not sure how much they could use the recordings of Freddie M. But it did work out that they could just them most all the time. I'm just saying what was stated here and what others articles have said. I did not say how voice was not used it was used in two or three scenes. This article was also by a someone who worked on the movie.
It was said 99 percent was FM recordings mixed in with RM. It all sounded like FM because most of it was FM.
But whatever MM recordings that were used sounded similar as well.
Correction above I did not say Mark M voice was not used at all it was used
Alot less than people may have thought.
I'm quoting article of someone who worked on the film. Gl also said it was used very minutely. That may not been exact word used but that's what was said. When it was used in 2 or 3 scenes it was the voiced were mixed in.
I'm just quoting what the article said.
Since I am not a MM fan I really does not bother me if they used it alot or a little.
The movie came out well no.matter who voices were used and how much. That's what counts. Adam did say himself that they used MM a FM impersonator and FM recordings. It made it look much more realistic to mixes with RM to make it looking he was FM voice.
This article was quoted on here the other day no one said a thing about it then.
That was to make it look like FM voice.
If MM had sung it all it would not bother me but he sang in several scenes. What not fair that his fans have said that the movie would not been made without him some of his fans that not the way it happened.
My original comment was about Adam a biopic and a comment about air guitar it was not about MM. Again MM a good singer he does do shows impersonating FM that's part of what he does for a living.
Adam the frontman for Queen and a so artist that's what he does for a
Living Adam does a remarkable job at both. MM is quite good at what he does.
I am a Adam Lambert fan that's the reason I am here. Not to bring down or promote any other artist. Correction Adam is a solo artist not a so artist.
Again I never said he was not used in the film at all never said that.
It was a great film whoever voices were used or how much. Yes only Brian and Rodger and the people who worked on the film know.

I so wish everyone could have seen that documentory. The wondwrful, wonderful things said by Brian and Rosger about Adam. Eodger said no one is out singing Adam Lambert.
Brian said there not another voice on the planet like Adam's. He said he never heard another voice like Adam's.
Among many other lovely things.
Also things that got under there skin they didn't like that's not about Adam.
It was a great documentory.
They said they were si lucky blessed to have had now 2 of the greatest singers.
CORRECTION that was Rodgwr said no on our singing Adam Lambert.
It was so lovely to hear Adam get the praise he so deserves. By the people that really count. Hope the ones that did not get it can see it in the future really good. That way so lucky.

Sue Smith said...

That was Rodger having an even harder typing day than usual had my glasses off. That was Brian and whatever other mistakes I made. Sorry

Rosemary White said...

Regarding your previous comment Sue, you're doubting what I've read in the media but not what you've read in the media and what people have said who had no involvement in the movie. I think we should accept that Mac Martel's voice was used in the film, maybe a little, maybe more than a little which is something only Brian and Roger know and maybe Marc Martel and Rami Malek as well, because their voices were mixed with Freddie's, plus of course the film's production sound mixers and re-recording mixers. In any event, it's not an issue because the music for the movie is fantastic .... and "Bohemian Rhapsody" won the "Best Sound Mixing" and "Best Sound Editing" Oscars at the recent Academy Awards. I think that says it all.

Rosemary White said...

Oops! 2nd line - "Marc Martel" NOT "Mac Martel"!
