I have not posted in a great while as I have foregone Adam fan sites, but I wanted to share some color commentary as I was among the lucky few to get a ticket to the YouTube Space concert. It was an absolutely wonderful experience!

The space is uniquely NY, it located in a very edgy urban "mall" across the street from the large Google office building. The neighborhood location is in the very trendy meatpacking district and beneath the famous Highline, and not far from Hudson Yards. It is also quite close to the NYC Soho House and other upscale boutique hotels that Adam likes.

The space is halfway through the mall, by an espresso stand and up a freight elevator to the 6th floor........so NY! We stood in line as employees checked our picture ID's and placed glittery purple wristbands on us. Then a strict security line with bag and body check!! Then up the freight elevator. The space was wonderful - really small and very intimate with purple lighting. There was wooden platform seating but most preferred to stand. I was comfortably seated and saw everything. YouTube was extremely generous and allowed fans to sit and stand anywhere as long as we did not obstruct the camera man.*********As stated the official video will be uploaded to Adam's YouTube channel. This was a nice announcement as many put down their cameras and enjoyed the concert as it should be enjoyed - not behind a lens!! The announcer also told fans to feel free with taking pics, videos, etc but to try and hashtag YouTubeSpace or Adam Lambert.

They laid out a beautiful buffet of food and an Open Bar with wine and beer. Google knows how to throw a party - it was all very classy!!

There was a wonderful diversity of fans, probably more young than older, Gray Joey was there in stilettos and a wonderful band of drag/LBGTQ friends. YouTube gave out small rainbow flags.

There are so many videos of the interview and concert - everyone can watch for themselves. Was the sound quality good......No, I felt the drummer really needed to dial back a lot for the space she was playing in. Did the instruments drown out Adam at times.......Yes! Did it matter to the audience..... NOOOO.........we were enthralled with being in a space so close to Adam. I would say that the performance space was probably the size of his LR, so I felt we were at one of Adam's parties!! It was really special.There was no "bad" seat, spacious for everyone, no crowding.

His band is still new and have not played with each other for long. They may need more experience in adjusting their sound to the size and acoustic variances of the venues. Of course they are not seasoned like Queen and we are spoiled!

At the end of the concert, it was announced that Adam would like to thank each fan individually.......the M&G. There was a stampede to the corridor and a mass proliferation of shared facial powder,blush, lipstick, combs and mirrors. Mass arrangements of people taking pictures/videos of people having their pictures taken!

All of the fans I met were exceedingly generous, polite, giving..........it was just a wonderful gathering, the atmosphere was beautiful, joyful and celebratory. Most will also be at the GMA show tomorrow. There is apparently a Twitter group contingent that plan to queue up at midnight right outside of the venue in Central Park.

I actually wrote that they did not focus on Adam's singing and it sounded smothered, but erased it thinking it might sound much better at the venue.

Anonymous8! Thank you so much in sharing your experience with us. You are fortunate to have seen Adam tonight and your post was not boring. I imagined myself there as I read your description of the whole event! I love how you said "a stampede to the corridor", I too would run like a mad woman to get to Adam! Lol. Then I will check out Adams YouTube channel for that official video, of course when it's there to see.

Hi Tess, got your thank you message on Adam with Chaka Khan, after-show; you seem more energised, well, it's the Adam effect keeping us older folks' brain tip-top in order to catch his surprises that can spring at us anytime.
You were saying he didn't get much air time; perhaps they just called him in last minute, and tv shows are usually prearranged in advance. He did get quite a lot on the after show.
