Adam Lambert will be a part of the "digital only" version of Global Citizen's One World: Together At Home music special, tributing those working in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, that will be streamed online on April 18, 2020.  The webcast will begin at 2pm Eastern / 1pm Central / 12pm Mountain / 11am Pacific and 7:00pm in the UK.  A performance schedule has yet to be released so we have no idea at present as to the actual time of Adam's appearance.

The webcast is a "companion piece," so to speak, to the broadcast network version of One World, a mega two-hour special that, in a rare partnership, will be aired simultaneously on the three major US broadcast networks, ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as a few cable network channels on Saturday the 18th at 8:00pm Eastern & Pacific (for Central & Mountain, check your programming guide) and will also be broadcast in the UK on BBC One (again, check your guide).

This 'at-home' music extravaganza, which was organized in part by Lady Gaga, is "a historic, cross-platform global special that will celebrate and support healthcare workers and others on the frontlines, and the World Health Organization (WHO) as they lead the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic."

Along with Lady Gaga herself, the broadcast will feature performances by Alanis Morissette, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Celine Dion, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Lizzo, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Smith, among others. It will be co-hosted by the US' three powerhouse late-night talk show hosts, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

Preceding the main event and beginning at 2pm Eastern, the "digital version" is, reportedly, five hours in length.  It will be available numerous online digital platforms — most prominently, YouTube — and, in addition to Adam, will feature performances by Annie Lennox, Jennifer Hudson, Kesha, Charlie Puth, Hozier, Michael Buble, Jess Glynne and many, many more.

Hmmmm. This all sounds fantastic, of course. But Shosh's comment about jumping the gun makes me think that maybe Adam isn't in this to a big degree. He would likely be in the second show, the streaming one. I really hope he is part of it in some way. I'm being cautiously optimistic.

I saw on Instagram Adam IS appearing on the streamed version! YouTube, Facebook and Twitter will be streaming for 6 hours. Of course I plan to wait for Adam and then wait later on to watch the television version/ portion.

Glitzylady or broddybounce I got the information from Adam Lambert Dailey, that's where I saw the confirmation on Adam! There's a handsome picture of Adam by the way!💚💜

Dee, I don't think I indicated anywhere in the post the Adam would be in the main broadcast show. ?? If I somehow gave you that impression, I apologize. It's solely the web-only portion I was referring to and likely just one song. For me, that's still wonderful. Although who knows? With a 5-hr webcast, maybe they'll give people more than one song.

Broddy! Check out Adam Lambert Daily Twitter! @AdamL_Daily. It's been confirmed, please check this out! I don't want you and me to have another misinterpretation! Look it up, it's right there! :))))

Don't worry, broddy. I understood that Adam would not be in the main broadcast show. Guess I was a bit unclear. I am thrilled that he will be on the web portion! I was just afraid to get my hopes up! But it's true! Even if it's just one song, it will be great to see him on a world-wide broadcast.

Thank you, Sunflower — good catch! — and now it is UPDATED!

No worries, Dee. Yeah, I think what Shosh was referring to in her tweet (which I removed as it's no longer relevant), was about the word of this being leaked early, when it was just supposed to be a big splash coming directly from Global Citizen. But, you know, leaks happen!

Just glad that Adam is a part of this. When I first heard about the event last week I immediately looked for Q+AL and/or Adam and saw nothing and was bummed. But absolutely thrilled they have now included him, if not in the network version, but he's in very good company.

You know, it would have been a coup had they also got the whole band together and performed a song on the network broadcast where all six band members would perform together from their homes as has been done with some other bands in other at-home webcasts. But perhaps too complicated. Or it could have been just Brian & Roger & Adam acoustic doing an appropriate song (obviously not WWRY! lol).

Adam the first name on the list. I believe it's kind of in alphabetical order. He will be seen all over the world. I just do my phone. Hope you have some direct stream info on here Saturday. Yes I know it's on twitter, YT ect. I am not a savvy streamer as most of you are.
So hope there will be a direct link to a stream here. Thanks
So glad Adam will be a part of this and he should be. Our very loving Adam. Hope it raises much needed funds both the YT and TV version.

Hi, Sue! Yes, we plan to have the proper link(s) set up — likely be in a brand-new post late in the week.

broddy, you read my mind! I was also dreaming of a scenario where Adam, Brian and Roger, each remotely, of course, would do a song chosen perfectly for the occasion. I realize that this is not part of the plan, but it did run through my mind. And yes, seeing Adam at the very top of the list fun to see. He's not buried down there in the middle somewhere.

So glad he is part of this with some great people!

Thank you, Sunflower! UPDATED!! :))))

You are welcome, Sue!

And, yes, Dee — we are telepathic! lol Well, my hope is that maybe they'll add some surprises for the main telecast. I mean, you know how adoring Lady Gaga is of Queen, and she organized this whole thing. Look at the list of artists on the roster — it almost seems like there could be room for a couple more to squeeze in. You almost have to wonder if (a) why didn't Gaga and/or the producers think of doing this with Q+AL, or, if they did and offered it to them then (b) was it Brian or Roger or both who nixed it? Well, we can only hope and dream .... fingers crossed!!

I would have loved to see Adam on televised broadcast, too, with or without QAL. But hey, he will be in great company on the streaming show. Gaga does love Queen, so it would be interesting to know if they were contacted. But it's ok either way. This will be a great show. Wonder what Adam will perform? Wonder if he'll use his bathroom again? LOL

Maybe this explains why Adam got all that "music" equipment recently....or maybe just a coincidence? Or perhaps he'll sing acapella. Whatever! He'll be superb, as usual. Can't wait!

Well, Dee R Gee....bathrooms always have good acoustics, don't they? But if he does, I hope he'll coordinate his outfit with the wallpaper this time! heh heh.

Broddybounce....surely you'll have a link to a video of Adam's performance for us later? I'm scared that I'll miss him if I take a "break" during that long program. Besides, I always love to play his performances over and over.

Oh my, it's nice to have something to look forward to!

What does everyone think Adam should/will sing? Probably Velvet....but Superpower would provide an uplifting anthem for the occasion, also, wouldn't it?
