Im very disappointed in his choice it’s a mediocre song. Wish he did putting out the fire for the movie cat people. And he was ment to perform let’s dance 😒

I forgot what "Starman" was but I watched the Bowie video (thanks for posting that, Glitzy!) and now it's familiar. While it wouldn't be my favorite Bowie song it does have a great, hook-y chorus, and I think Adam will add his usual magic to the arrangement.

I actually thought he'd do "Life On Mars," my favorite from the Idols tour — however, I am always on board for him do something new, and there are dozens of versions of his doing that song on the Idols tour.

To "Unknown" — I'm guessing you've seen Adam do "Let's Dance" but, in case you haven't, here's the clip (from the earlier Adam/Bowie post that Glitzy links above) of his Bowie medley from the Idols tour, which is capped by "Let's Dance."

I am very happy that Adam will sing a song he has never sung before. "Let's dance" sang it for a long time and it would have been just another interpretation. I am convinced that Adam will sing in an iconic way as he did with "Believe". I'm very impatient!

Actually, Starman will show off Adam's voice very well. And that's what I want. I want his song to stand out among all the others, which of course will all be don very well. It's a stellar list of performaners.

We haven't heard him sing Starman before, so I'm more than ready for a new treat.

I'm not too thrilled about the rather lackluster (IMO) Starman song, either. But, knowing Adam, he'll knock it out of the ballpark with THAT VOICE! It has occurred to me that he may possibly not have had first choice of ANY of Bowie's songs, and that is the one he "picked" out of what was made available to him.

MiReLa. like you, I feel Adam's rendition will also be iconic. Frankly, and just my opinion, Adam will probably sing Starman better than Bowie! Am I biased? You bet!

In any case, it is an honor for Adam to perform in this official Bowie tribute...and he certainly deserves to be there! Fingers crossed that I will be able to access it! If not, fingers crossed that broddybounce and/or glitzylady will be able to get Adam's performance here on 24/7...they always perform miracles!

I had to watch David's "Starman" to remember how it sounded. I too am surprised by the choice but Adam can sing "anything" and make it a "hit"! He's amazing that way. I am excited to hear his version. Woohoo!

Adam will knock Starman out of the proverbial park. I have no doubt!

Well....Hope springs eternal!...so I purchased a ticket....again....this time to the Bowie tribute.

Everyone, keep your fingers crossed that this technologically disadvantaged Glambert hasn't blown it like I did with the Ratatouille tickets...twice!

Looking forward to Adam's Starman! The whole show will be available for 24 hrs, so there is time to see it all whether you got a ticket or not. Lots of great performers on this show!

I read that it is 3 plus hours long.

As I suggested before, it's possible that Adam chose Starman as the best of those songs available to him. From what I read about this, it seems that all performers were not chosen at once, but more were added as time passed. Adam seemed to be added in the third group... probably when most of the preferred songs were already chosen. But nevermind, Adam will excell, as always!

Dee R Gee....my impression is that it will only be available (streaming) for 24 hours...to those who hold tickets.

But it'll probably eventually turn up on Youtube.....or broddybounce and glitzylady will perform their magic and get it for us here somehow....at least Adam's performance.

I understand that the fund collected for the program are to be donated to "Save the Children Fund"

Well, I managed to access the website, but someone came on and said that due to various Covid-caused difficulties they will have to delay the program for 24 hours....!

Oof I'm not watching the event but yes Nanbert I read on twitter its been delayed for 24 hours due to World circumstance. Guess what you said Covid 19.

Stuff happens. So disappointed that the Bowie tribute got postponed. But at least it's not cancelled. The show must go on!
