We had posted a story a few days ago here that it looks like Adam Lambert will be appearing in an upcoming film. And now, it looks like he'll have a starring part!
The film based on a true story. A young girl tells the story of growing up in San Francisco in the 1970's and 1980's with her dad who is gay. Adam's character is "Charlie". There is a link to the book the film is adapted from in the tweet below, linked to Amazon. It was published in 2014. The filming has just wrapped up so no release date yet.

This is VERY exciting! I thought this might be a documentary of some kind that Adam was contributing to. But it turns out to be a real acting role for him! I have never heard of the book apparently is has been well-received. Very happy to hear this news!
After reading the excerpt, it sounds like Adam's role as Charlie might be more substantial than just a cameo. I hope so. He deserves a shot at a real acting role. Some big names involved in this, too. Gives me hope that it will get some media attention.
Read a great review of the last Manchester show. The writer said that Adam "has a voice that could melt a bank vault." Now THAT'S a compliment! LOL
