Q: What was it like to meet all of the past American Idol winners during the finale?
A: Meeting some of the past winners in the beginning was almost intimidating, because you see what they've accomplished and you just want that. But closer and closer to the end, we got to meet more of the past Idols and they've been really amazing. Adam Lambert was amazing; he's a real genuine guy and I like him. He's got a good attitude and ... he's real. I got to talk to David Cook a little bit and he's one of the nicest guys I've met in my life. That's a trend through a lot of the Idols: They're really genuine people. They all know what it's like to be a part of it.

I was rooting for Crystal but after reading this interview. I like Lee. I think he's talented. And he mentioned Adam first!!! How nice of him.
im proud of adam lambert hes a real singer. lee and krsi allen just ordinary singer or non-singer sorry lee; i know whose the real singer here naturally gifted.i dont understand why the non-singer win american ido the real singer(good voice) comes second. when it coems to seeling album ?the winner is the lowest sales.clasic example kris allen. to me thyre not the real singer.kris and leel not the real singer.thye werent born a singer plus they dont have a gift(voice) like adam.
p;s remeber the gifted songers are; adam lambert/michael jackson/elvis presley. these guys share with the same animal zodiac sign even even though diffrent bifferent)
p.s.- lee dewayze born under the tiger year 1986(non-gifted-non singer.

Adam and Lee are so different yet they are not. Some compare Lee to Kris Allen but I don't agree. Lee really liked Adam and he is one of the few on Season 9 who actually listened to Adam's advice and went with it. He even thanks Adam at the end of his song. I love them both and hope Lee gets all the great things that are out there for him like Adam has done!

I watched Am Idol Season9 every now and then, just to see who is who - and oh boy, did it make me APPRECIATE ADAM's EXCEPTIONAL SINGING AND PERFORMING SKILLS TO HIGH HEAVEN! Also Allison (only 16 years of age back in Season8) showed so much talent, love her also!
This season Crystal was the only real deal (IMO), when it comes to natural talent. Gongrats to Lee, he seems a very nice guy and he got better as the season progressed. However, I have one question - and please someone comment, if you have time & energy...To me it seems that US people prefer the same type of men to win/succeed: Kris Allen - Lee Dewyze - David Cook - and even Daughtry are (IMHO)guys on the same continuum, Kris the gentlest/nicest/less rough, Lee something in between Kris and David and Daughtry = Kris+Lee+David put together...
My main point: I truly am SOOOO, SOOOO happy I happened to open TV during Season 8, while Adam was singing Satisfaction...there's no comparison, NOBODY CAN TOP ADAM!!!
I agree, NOBODY can top ADAM LAMBERT.
This kind of talent comes ONCE in a life time and we are the LUCKY once to witness and ENJOY it.

During Season 8 Adam Lambert set the bar so high that no one will ever be able to reach it. His voice is remarkable. I waited each week to see what he would sing and how he would look. His talent, personality, appearance, and sense of humor make for one exciting, dynamic, sexy performer! And it goes to show that you do not have to be the winner on American Idol to become a success in the music business. We are watching the emergence of one superstar glam rock god and thankfully Adam Lambert is taking all of us along for the ride!
like lee-kris allen-daughtry-david cook these guys just an american singer. but they cant top adma lambert. adam lambert has the voice very unque/looks good attittude/appearance/honest/humble loyalty and sicneirty love by his fans all over the country plus asian people /asin countries love adam lambert and euroepan countries.adam gone gone/platinum/double platinum(in asia/and europe and canada). a real international superstar.id never know someone like adam lambert such a perfectionsit/his attitude/his music and etc.

p.s in maerica here; winning an ido dont have to be a good singer but has a good attittude. doesnt matter this ido has a bad voice.. but adam lambert has everything good human being very gracious and hymble plus has a unque voice.

I'm glad that Lee thanked and appreciated Adam, but Lee as a singer is mheh. He seems like a nice guy, but I don't like his singing now just because he mentioned Adam. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.
Remember when Adam was the "gay singer?" His being gay had nothing to do with his singing ability.

Lee looked so suprized by his win. I think he is a great guy just trying to make it. I agree with Adams advice he smelled the coffe and took it up a notch. He was so nervous at the end. I hope only the best for him. Even though Adam has and always been my first choice as the top Idol...he opened the door for alot of people that does not meanI do not wish the best for them on the journey they are on. To go through what they did takes alot of guts and I for one think that is worthy of our respect.
Lee has the voice but not the stage skills--yet. Plus, he is frequently off key and this downgrades the whole picture. There were times his pitch problems drove me to mute the sound. It could have been nerves, as it always appeared so nervous and unsure.
Loved Adam telling him there was nothing going on above the shoulders in his vocals. Never was--all season. Idol 2009 just didn't cut it, but the two top ones and maybe Michael will do well because of the exposure. Casey is a very good guitarist, but he needs to find his nitch.
It's nice that Lee thanked Adam, but why is this news worthy. I'm pretty sure all of the ones he mentored thanked him. JMO

i feel the only reason for negativity towards kris allen is down to the unfairness of Adam,s music not getting enough airplay, which is not fair but we know the reason why,call me snarkly i do not care

It's partly the demographics of American Idol that make David, Kris, and Lee the winners. Evidently the average vote-aholic fan is a very young girl. Ricky Minor said Kris Allen's fans were all @ 7 years old. There are also lots of tweens and young teens. All of them are a gazillion times more adept at power voting than the rest of us. They know how to vote tens of thousands of times an hour, when most of us can just get through just a few times on the phone to vote. (I tried solid for over an hour for Adam and only got through 3 times.)
So it's not the U.S.'s musical taste, it's young technologically savvy U.S. girls' musical taste (boy crush taste more than music actually).
The rest of the U.S. is pretty frustrated with American Idol's voting system allowing that.
Other shows have taken steps to make it more fair, like DWTS, where you can only vote 5 times per phone, e-mail address, etc.
