Ya.... no. I had hope at first because I like the instrumental rock sound, I've just never been a fan of the whole screaming thing.

I prefer the Glitter Bombs bursting in my ears from Adam's version, the metal bombs not so much. Good luck, Colossus Of Rhodes.

Sorry ColossusofRhodes...hate it! If I Had You is such a positive, upbeat message. This version just sounds loud & angry.

I hate this version of If I Had You! My son loves this type of music and I just don't understand the meaning of it, the screaming and anger. It is so depressing!!

Well it is different and some parts the singing was good. I think you have to be into this type of music to appreciate the sound. Maybe for younger generation but this old lady likes Adam's version. Good Luck guys!

Just sending out wishes to all the New zealanders on this site, and especially to all those in Christchurch. Hope you're all OK. have been watching live coverage of the devastation of the earthquake on the Australian channel. Its unbelievable to watch, especially when you've visited the places you can see, and have friends there. our prayers are with you.

OT...I saw this terrible news also and hope JadamNZ is safe as well as others in NZ. The last one in Sept. was terrible too. Hope there won't be any more aftershocks. So much death and destruction in the world now. I pray it will stop. 65 killed in Christ Church and hundreds missing. Can't get excited about watching this video now. funbunn40

Regarding Christ Church earthquake ... I'm praying to GOD to PLEASE put an end to all the devastation worldwide .... I feel so very sorry for all the victims & will keep them in my prayers. Love 'n Light

Hi Jadam here, thanks for you kind thoughts. We ae okay as the earthquake was in The South Islan and i am in he north island. Watching on TV tho it is devestating hard to beleive this has happened in such a big scale in our safe little country. The death toll so far is 65 but expecting more. So sad. I txt a friend I made thru another fansite about 18months ago and we keep in contact and she was trapped at work. havent heard from her again, so dont know if they are out yet.

One minute was more than I could handle. The Parody was better. LOL! Could this be a joke?

I also couldn't even get through the whole song. I do have neighbors who would love this though. Everything that comes out of their garage when the 16 yr olds are hanging out there sounds like this. I can't even sit outside when they are there. They love to play it as loud as possible.
PS. I have noticed that it goes off as soon as their Mom gets home. So funny. I wonder if these same guys will like this 10-15 years from now.

I really like the Beasty Boys, but I don't think this is working with this song. It's always fun to experiment though and I'm happy you chose to try one of Adam's songs.

It's good that Adams songs go through different genres. They probably didn't cover it for your entertainment.

OT @JadamNZ, So glad you're safe and hope your friend will be found safe as well and will be able to contact you soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with all in NZ and hope any buried in the rubble will soon be found and will survive. This video isn't my fave. I gave it a chance. I suffered thru a whole 20 secs of it before it reminded me of the scenes in some horror movie where the Devil himself made a comment. What a butcher job of a great song. All artistic interpretation aside, that was just annoying. I love the Beasy Boys. This is nothing like them. This sounds like an EVP they catch on Ghost Hunters. Sends chills in my soul. Yikes!
