From OMG! (Yahoo):

In honor of national LGBT Pride Month, take a look at the celebs who are openly gay -- and proud of it!

Adam Lambert, Musicians
"American Idol's" breakout star Adam Lambert made Billboard.com's "20 Great Gay Moments in Music" for firing up viewers with his "glam rock stylings, sexed-up stage persona, and multi-octave range." Billboard's list included moments that "were pivotal in advancing the understanding and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.”

Wooh go Adam! Couldn't have said it better Yahoo!

The comment section on Yahoo is so eff-ing disgusting. I could understand if someone didn't like Adam's music but calling him bad names just because he's gay?

Some people are just so sick.

Carlos, let those homophobes hate. Tonight is a good night for all gays and lesbians everywhere! New York is set to legalize gay marriage!!!

I'm in NY right now and I am almost crying. But I have to wait until it is 100% clear that it passed. This may take a few more hours.

@Carlos It is so sad that there are people so homophobic that they can't get past it and listen to talent. Hopefully Adam can bring us a step closer to a more loving accepting society. It is better not to read the comments I find. I try to think like Adam, and just be positive and keep out the negative.

Please Glamberts DO NOT go to OMG or click on source. I made the mistake and I knew better. OMG is a horrible place for Adam. Ya know the media shouldn't print these nasty comments. I think that is one site that needs Glambert attention. Now I know why so many people are leaving Yahoo.com.

P.A.S.

@Carlos
You made the same mistake I did, huh? Sick people out there. May they get some love in their hearts.

Adam is among some very talented artists on that site. No, I wont be reading the comments. I just wonder how all the homophobes (that make such vile statements about Adam) will feel when in 10 years or so, their singing or acting idols come out as gay? Would love to be a fly on the wall! LOL!!!!!! ... Adamluv

The announcement from the New York Senate: Twitter...

NYSenate New York Senate
Both the Marriage Equality Act of 2011 and the accompanying amendment have passed the #NYSenate.

There is no residency requirement. Anyone can go there to marry. Progress is being made, one state at a time. Slowly. But hopefully.

Ha, ha I just read the comments on Yahoo and they are typical yahoo comments. They hate everyone and everything. There's some good one's thrown in there by us.Yay about the gay marriage passage.

A Change HAS Come! Adam Lambert you helped pave the way with educating the world towards understanding and acceptance! The Dark Ages are going!

Love is so much stronger than hate. "cause you never get tired or sick from loving one another. Hate just makes people sick and tired. Hug someone today and make their day. Spread some love and let's enjoy one step in the right direction for equality. Thanks New York for leading the way to that awesome goal.

All the GAY gab is tiresome and "dividing" people.
Do straight people have STRAIGHT PARADES???
Are they PROUD of their orientation???? Really.
I LOVE Adam as he is. My own son is gay. I think his partner is a sweetie, love him. But all the rainbow-flag-waving etc is really TOO MUCH. It creates a bigger difference than just living life.
Listen to the Music.
Everyone Chill.

Don't bother to read the comments in the "Out & Proud" article. These people don't understand. When you read so much hate, it makes you feel like the majority of America thinks that way. Actually, it's a small group of haters that's getting smaller. Each generation will grow up being more accepting of gays until there is true equality. (Unless they go to the Westboro Baptist Church!)

@11:34PM!!!

Celebrate for Heavens Sake with us!!!!

White straight folk do have their rights ok nowadays, so they don´t need any particular straight parades. There have been parades for black people and women before. Now it is the turn for gay parades.

This is exactly same thing what Martin Luther King was talking about. The change is gonna come.
This is a great moment. It is worth of celebrating, for your son, for you!!!!!

This does not divide, this UNITES!!!!! We are listening to Adam´s awesome music, but we are not chilling today. As long as there are states or countries who do not accept gay people, every victory is a moment for joy and celebration!!

I don´t like these voting things at all but as long as they take the human rights forward I´m ready to accept them.

We all love Adam as he is too. By the way, what is so "too much" with colourful and nice rainbow flags? They are not advertising but rejoicing gay-peoples life among other lives. I think it nice.

UH, I did mistake by clicking the source....
Lesson learned, never read any comment in yahoo OMG(or don't go there at all)

I did more than turn the other way. I officially reported the violent comment for abuse. Then, I left a positive statement about all of Adam's attributes as an artist and a role model. To ignore it is to support it. Fight back with the truth.

Thanks for the heads up on Out and Proud, won't go there and get fired up. My own son gay, so have a personal stake in these laws being changed. Adam and other gay people still have an up hill battle ahead of them. For all the haters out there, there are as many who are not. New York, we are proud of you.

So happy for Adam as he has much to be proud about! Yay for New York for making marriage legal for all!
Regarding the negative comments - people need to remember there is much prejudice out there to fight. As Adam has said before, there is still a rights issue that needs to be addressed. It is never negative to be informed. Keep up the good fight Glamberts. The truth shall set you free!
Rock on Adam!
