Adam does look good in this group picture. I'd like to see a closeup of just him alone. I absolutely love this look on him without the glitz, glitter and makeup that we saw in the earlier part of his music career. There is nothing wrong with change, with evolving in both your personal style and music. Let's see what Adam's third album brings in its approach to the music and then what his overall appearance will be. I really like some recent looks on Adam with a suit and tie, or casual jacket and jeans, no facial hair and no makeup. He looks classy, stylish and so very handsome. There also seems to be a more relaxed and happier Adam from what we see or read about him. Hopefully 2014 will be the best for him yet.
Looking at Adam in this pic, tell me there isn't a little bit of an Elvis vibe from the way he looks there. I know people hate that comparison, but I can't help mentioning it because that's what I see.
This puppet episode looks like crazy fun. Can't wait to see it. I agree that Adam looks so classy and handsome and mature. Yet, he's such a playful guy, full of fun and silliness. I don't think the Elvis comparisons will ever stop. There is just too much of a resemblence. Voices different though.
Hey, Elvis was an icon and it's an honor to be compared to him. And I didn't even grow up in that era. When I was in Memphis last year for a work conference, I toured Graceland. They were showing video clips of a young Elvis. His performance and charisma was electric. Kind of like another artist we know and love. ;)
7:42 Will you please get real and stop with the no make up stories.
While on set or on stage Adam wears make up (like they all do). When on red carpet, on interviews, on job of any kind, Adam wears make up. And when he is out socializing and having fun, he wears make up. He might be without make up while going to the store or gas station, usually he wears sunglasses...so you can't tell.
Different kind of make ups for different kind of roles in life. Glitz and glitter was/is part of an act and a show, a role. Heavier make up on stage under heavy lights etc. Now he's in role that's made look like there's no make up... :)))
I agree with you. (There is not a picture in recent months where he hasn't had some level of make-up on, in any scenario, public or private). I do not know Adam obviously, but I'd make a guess he would wear more makeup in this stage of his career, right now, if it didn't elicit commenting and such. I am only going by what I observe as a fan, but it seems to me Adam has always, does currently, & will always prefer and enjoy his makeup. Fine by me. Just my POV. :)
The only thing that sort of makes me twinge about the Elvis comparisons is that it can (nobody can be 100% sure but it certainly can)date a large portion of his fanbase. Of course Adam loves his fans, but there is a marketing issue as well, and any fan who can understand that perhaps should investigate current marketing and PR strategies and business models for the entertainment industry right now. JS.
Life is like a garden with beautiful flowers. Some of these beautiful flowers have thorns. If you stick the thorns into your flesh all the time, you don't enjoy beauty of the garden. Hence you end up with miserable life.
5:33, you are absolutely right. We all know that Adam's fanbase tends to be older. We know he has fans of all ages, but his young adult demo isn't his biggest one. It is definately a marketing issue. It reflects how his sales have gone. I'm sure it's an issue when he tries to find a new label. Other big-voiced, thirty-something singers who don't really have a core teen audience (Josh Groban, for ex.) are extremely successful without it, but they also are nothing like Adam in personality, stage presence or just plain persona in general. They're just really good, talented middle of the road kinds of singers who are easily acceptable to everyone. None of them make my heart race like Adam does. Adam is left of center, with a sexual edge, unique looks, stage presence and personality. Adam's fanbase demo is a blessing and a curse. Older fans are incredibly loyal and he knows it. But a younger demo is who buys tons of music and once they find someone they love, it can mean instant huge sales. Glee is opening a big door for Adam. Hope it works.
Worldwide, Adam's fanbase is VERY young. Just watch videos of international concerts.
A true cross-section of all ages of Americans first discovered Adam on Idol because the show appealed to all ages. Thus, all ages became loyal fans for life... at least those with great taste. ;) New fans, mostly younger, are discovering Adam every day. His appeal is truly universal, except for those who, maybe due to certain religious beliefs or passed-down, outdated understandings of what being gay means, or some straight guys still trying to figure out how to follow a gay artist they like. But, times are changing fast - take the Pope's wonderful comments for instance. And the Bro Show - brilliant! More of that please! And, Adam's presence for young fans in countries like Russia is a lifeline.
We are at an exciting time in history and I see things getting better and better. Hearts and minds are changing as we see our gay brothers and sisters coming out all around us. Yea!!
As far as make-up, I am REALLY hoping Starchild gets to do some GNT make-up for a performance or two. Adam is so gorgeous made up like that. Crazy Hawt!
I don't think the older fans are the largest part of Adam's demographic but they are the loudest and most visible. With as much as they claim to love Adam and want bigger success for him it would be wise of them to take into consideration how they appear to the music industry that feeds off the young demo. It would be wise to not mention how old you are in online comments, or compare Adam to long gone stars like Elvis and Michael Jackson. I won't even get into being at the front of every. single. event.
I admired and respected Elvis and truly adored some of his songs. Although Elvis and Adam are both very attractive men. To me, Adam is far sexier and has a magical quality to him. I would want to sit and talk to Adam for hours. I don't get that feeling with Elvis. I know Elvis has millions of fans and rightly so, but there is something about Adam that I cannot describe. You want to make love to him and be his best friend at the same time. Maybe that's tmi. Sorry>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nancdruuu2
Just like Adam, Elvis has a good heart and terribly handsome and sexy why I love them both. I don't think I can be a fan of someone arrogant. I've never been anyway, only these two. My mom was an avid devoted fan of Elvis why we all children are.
Okay DRG posted same thing i wrote some threads back and she isnt attacked as i was!# new thing i've learnt about this site. Thank God some of you (regulars) are sensible enough to whats up with adam's image and branding. But after seeing the comment on his international fans, i agree, thank Goodness, i pray his new album gets more sales, because that is what he really needs now.hopefully he gains NEW fans from his stint with glee. For elvis comparison, i was not born during that era, but asked my granddad about it,interesting answer he gave me..' no one becomes better than the one he is compared to, after seeing adam's performance with queen, its safe to say he might be a legend on his right, over the years' ...peace

I'm one of the people that hate the Elvis comparison and I can't help mentioning it. I find it annoying.

@8:35PM Actually, in our time Elvis isn't a perfect royal model as he used to be. Just my personal opinion
Looks like a really fun episode.

I don't like the Elvis comparison either but there are Elvis fans who go on and on about it. It's a total yawn and unnecessary.
I was an Elvis fan, but see no comparison between him and Adam whatsoever.......except that sparks flew when either of them took center stage....JAK

@JAK, regarding the "sparks", very well said! :)

Lol more relaxed and happier? He always puts up a good front.
So do I......most people think I'm an optimist......truth is I am a gloom and doom pessimist who is cheerful!....JAK

@nancdruuu2.....Adam would win hands down.....Elvis was not very interesting and juvenile, but he had lovely manners!......JAK
JAK again....as soon as I hit publish I wanted to take it back...that was not very kind, shame on me!
