We've been following this story originating from Singapore that has attracted worldwide attention.

*If you have questions about what is happening here, see the embedded links at the bottom of this thread..

This photo (posted below) shows how the power of love can overcome the hate & bigotry that exist in this world..

Brings to mind a portion of a quote from Adam Lambert, one he posted on twitter back in in 2009 (see the tweet below): One of my favorite quotes EVER from Adam..

“Love overcomes hate. Love has no color. Love has no orientation. All is love.” ~ Adam"

Adam's tweet from August 31, 2009:

Tweeted by @AdamLambertSG from Singapore today:

I'm sorry Adam has to go through this BS but it makes him stronger as well as his fans. There's only one Adam Lambert and he's something special!

I predict it will be one hell of a show in Singapore! Something tells me there will be quite a bit of media there, even more than for the usual NYE show. Can't wait!

BS is right, The Dark Side.
Adam is our rock when these things pop.

Adam is going to go down in history on this struggle for gay rights and acceptance. None of us today may be alive to see it relived, but it will happen and Adam will be seen as an icon of this cause.

Hopefully, all the fans' support will pull Adam through, and finally this "Gorilla in the Room" will be put to rest once and for all! Unfortunately, online videos never seem to die.

Truthfully, I HATED that AMA performance! What a loss it would have been if Adam's career had never recovered from it! His voice is indeed a "Gift From God".... to paraphrase Brian May.

Why did you hate it? Because he kissed a guy? Surely not. I loved it. Being from Holland I didn't even understand what the fuss was about.

Nanbert - agree that due to technology the "Gorilla" never gets to die that much needed death. It can be resurrected and never for noble reasons. At this point, it is not just about "a kiss", but the way people have used that entire performance to define Adam to the exclusion of everything else that he embodies, and the refusal of many to revisit and rediscover the person because of that performance.

Hopefully the support behind Adam will invite some curiosity and change some hearts. Would be nice if other musical artists would support him as I know he would step up for them.

@Anonymous8, this is exactly what I have been thinking ever since Adam put out a statement.
" Would be nice if other musical artists would support him as I know he would step up for them."

@lollymop - yes, very disappointing that the musical community has been silent, but props to WB. Perhaps because it is a holiday weekend.........sigh.

Marielle Linthorst....I did not particularly mind Adam kissing the guy, but there were just other actions in that performance that I felt were in bad taste, and completely unnecessary -- especially on live TV. I might add that there were a LOT OF OTHER performances that night which I thought were in bad taste, too. Adam would not have been "picked out" of that group if he hadn't been gay!

BTW, I'm sure we've all seen the dozens of news articles on the internet about the Singapore petition to ban Adam -- a bunch of"ambulance chasers". But I've only seen ONE that even reported that a petition was ALSO started to SUPPORT Adam.................................. .............................................................. and NOBODY bothered to follow up with a report that the petition to ban Adam was soundly beaten by the overwhelming support FOR Adam on the responding petition. I guess that isn't sensational enough for those "journalists"!

It might be useful if we spent some time commenting to those "reporters" that they were grossly misleading the public by their one-sided articles... which at least deserved a
follow-up!
