Please explain to this clueless nerd .. what is trending & what does it mean? I know ... I know ... go ahead & LOL .... one of my children suggested I get a book titled .. "Computers for Dummies" ... but it wouldn't do any good .. I'm too far over the hill!!

No problem, it is difficult to keep up with popular culture. This particular post refers to the Twitter use in England at a particular 4 hour period. Twitter has a way of measuring what the general population is "searching" on Twitter at any given moment and can therefore come up with a list of the most popular ones. The top 10 most popular searches is referred to as "trending", or in this case they came up with a list of the top 100. It is measured by identifying the most common topics, names, hashtags being typed in at Twitter at any given time.

So Adam Lambert's Twitter account was one of the most active during that period - as one might expect after his concerts. I believe after the New Year's Eve Queen concert, his first exposure to England - Adam "trended" for the next 6 days.

He's an amazing artist and people find it astounding when they discover just how good he is. He's taking the world o e country at a time.

Thank you for taking the time to explain 'trending' to/for me. I only follow ADAM once in awhile ... otherwise 24/7 keeps me very well informed just about everything ADAM ... great fan site .. IMO!! Thanx!! again ... Light 'n Love
