1883 Magazine: Adam Lambert Backstage Photos @ Tel Aviv

Before the show we headed backstage to meet the man himself and were able to get some exclusive shots of a number of looks for the live show. A self confessed shopoholic, his outfits include such classic brands such as Saint Laurent, Skingraft, Diesel and Rik Villa. Previously quoted as saying that playing ‘dress up’ is one of his favourite daily activities, fashion has now become as important to the live performance as to the actually singing. Using editorials and collections to understand fashion trends has allowed Adam to get a style that is individual to himself.

tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
Have mercy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I'm just gonna check my pulse after these beautiful pictures!!!:)
Yep. Our guy sure knows how to wear a pair of pants. It's all what you put in them.
WOOT!
Good for him. Adam even got Brian to wear a little lace!
Yes, Dee R Gee....Adam usually has such an artist's eye....so it's kind of surprising that he doesn't realize that shorts/?/skirts and "balloony" pants distort the lines of his body, making him look heavier and shorter. That's accentuated even more when seen from the distance of an audience.
He has a great "clothes-wearing" form, with great long legs, and the only outfit that displays that is the one with the full-length fitted fringed pants -- showing his handsome lithe body... making him taller and slimmer... much better proportioned... AND MUCH SEXIER! IMO.
Seeing all those outfits side by side in the article, there's no doubt in my mind about which is the more flattering/attractive/sexy on Adam, especially when seen from an audience.
I'm sure there are a million "trendy, funky, stylin'" outfits that can be fun, while still displaying the beautiful male proportions of Adam's body to advantage.
OT: Did anyone watch AGT last night, and agree with who won?
FYI -- all costume references and hairdos aside -- Adam's voice and performance were "on point".. as always! IF possible, he's even getting better!
I would stand in line to hear him sing the phonebook in a potato sack with a shaved head... (which I hope never happens!)..... but, if I had my "druthers"...well.... you know.....
I agree with you Anne Marie . . . but Adam will be Adam . . .
Question . . . what are those pouches under his arms for ?
Not sure about the winner of AGT, she's good, but way too young. What kind of concert would she put on, maybe a part of some kind of showcase. I really wanted Sal to win, I could see him in Vegas........... I really don't feel we should be judging Adan's hair or outfits, it's rude.....sorry folks IMO
Blu........Pollen?
The pouches held his ear thingy, instead of tucked into his waist band. You can see in some of the pics, the wires going up to his ears.
According to the info printed at the bottom if each of those photos, the pouches are called "Holster Bag" by skincraft -- a rather interesting item that could be useful for many people-- male or female.
The thought has occurred to me that as all the items in those outfits are identified by their manufacturer, perhaps they are part of a promotion by those companies. Perhaps Adam gets a fee for the promotion.... not unusual for celebrities. For example, the women who identify the designer of their "Oscar" gowns... and many men for their tuxes.
As many times Adam has mentioned Skincraft, I thought he might have invested in the company. He wears a lot of their clothes.
Meant Skingraft.
About Skingraft Clothing designs and Adam's connection with it: He is friends with the founders/owners and has been for years...
Yes, they are a local company to Adam, started as a small company, who Adam met at a club, Adam loved their designs. If he hasn't invested in it, which we do not know, then he certainly has helped their business, by advertising their line of clothing. They have come up with some really nice clothing, that Adam really likes. When he started dealing with them, since they were a small company, they were probably selling at lower prices , than they do now, when Adam also didn't have as much money to spend. Adam has many friends who have interesting businesses that he uses from time to time, some of whom are quite wealthy now, who have risen by shear hard work to get a successful business running, similar as Adam has, with his singing.
Just another opinion - I too am not impressed with this collection. In his signature style of trendy, fashion forward, and mixing discordant elements - think he overplayed his hand this time around. At the end of the day, good fashion still needs to be dictated by a sense of proportion, harmony, comfort and aesthetic. His TOH outfits were spot on. These outfits were just all over the place, and the pieces did not harmonize into a pleasing image for me. Again, this is just a personal opinion about 4 outfits, not an indictment of an amazing person.
I'm in the minority too. I don't like any of the outfits. And the hair is horrible (sorry, my opinion) - it does not flatter Adam's face at all as someone stated. These outfits make Adam look somehow strange to my taste and that green hair and the hair cut, oh no! I don't care watching any of the vids and scroll the photos very quickly. :)
But as said I'm in the minority. Most comments I've seen praise the outfits, say he's so sexy (IMO not at all) and the sweat is so sexy too (hmm). And he himself seems to love his new look as he posts IG-photos and likes other's IG-photos of him.
I'm glad the voice is still Adam's.
I look at other pop stars and their "costumes" onstage and Adam is no more "out there" than most of them. These are stage outfits. He's not always trying to be handsome and suave and cutesy. He's wearing these clothes to be different and to draw attention. Adam is never boring. Hair grows, clothes change. Fashion shifts. I'm not always looking for Adam to be stereotypically pretty and handsome. That's not always his goal. You don't have to like everything he wears, but he's doing it for a reason. He doesn't want to be just another nice-looking singer. Booorriinngg!
I'll just add one more thing to finish my rant: Rock/pop music is SUPPOSED TO KICK SOME MAJOR ASS. No place for wimps, IMO.
I'm very shallow and derive much pleasure from Adam looking stereotypically pretty and handsome.
HaHa! Anonymous8 - Love your comment! There's a place for us 'shallow' people too! Thanks for your comment.
O.K......while we're in the confessional... I admit that I'm shallow, too!
I hate the skorts and wide, floppy pants on Adam.....love the tight leather or leather-look pants.
There, I said it!
I just posted this on another (more recent thread) but adding it here too:
Just wanted to let you know that Adam had to delete all comments and disable comments on ALL of his beautiful and very personal and moving Jerusalem Instagram photos, including the ones of Adam at the Wailing Wall. Every. Single. One.. The photos are still there but no comments. There were some very ugly things said on the photos (political statements, fighting among fans...or people who call themselves fans...) and Adam was apparently upset enough to delete and disable comments.
I've seen some not so nice comments re his outfits & his hair too. And some truly supportive and loving and totally awesome comments re his most recent tour clothing and hair. (For the record, he's damn sexy in my book...)...
Lets be somewhat mindful of our comments here on this blog... Just a heads up.. Thanks...
I agree with Allysa Mentor. I'm not going to judge Adam's clothes, hairstyle nor hair colour, and it's really sad that Adam felt he had to delete all the comments and disable comments posted about all his Instagram photos taken in Israel because of all the ugly things said about them. That's really disgraceful. :-((( Thanks for letting us know, glitzylady.
It's hard to realize how ugly people can be inside. Rude and vicious comments about Adam in Israel is just sad and disappointing. I'm sure that his visit there meant something to him, and he chose to share it. So much for generosity.
And just for the record, I'm as shallow as the next person when it comes to looking at and lusting after handsome men and loving sexy clothes on them, etc. Handsome men in sexy clothes are a dime a dozen. But a sexy, handsome man who chooses to take risks, redefine masculinity in his own way, and just cut his hair and have some damn fun is ok with me, too. Go Adam! Take the rules and stomp on them now then. The ones who are remembered the most do that. Most others just fade into the woodwork.
I've always followed ADAM through all his fashion stages ... most of my comments have been in his favor. As a devoted Glambert for 7 + years now I feel that as a fan it is not my place to criticize ADAM but to support him in his journey to success so that support has always been UNCONDITIONAL on my part!! This is ADAM's journey .. not mine ... and I feel privileged to be able to be on this road with ADAM .. through his allowing us his followers to see/hear through him what is going on in his busy life!! Thank You @glitzylady & 24/7 for sharing with us through this site & Thank YOU ADAM for unselfishly sharing your hectic life with your Glamberts!! Love 'n Light ....
