What a lovely story! First love, disapproval by others, a broken heart. But the broken heart gets united again with the power of love, despite what others think. I wonder how often this story gets played out in real life. Probably many times. I hope those stories turn out as well as this one does. True love prevails.

I absolutely love this very sweet oh so true short film. This can be a very confusing time for a young boy, but even more so if he is questioning his sexuality. I watched a similar scenario play out with my grandson, currently 20, when he was around 12. It was painful to watch but not my place to interfere. He chose came out around 16 to a loving family and friends. I told him to always remember he was deeply loved, as close to perfection as humanly possible and a beam of sheer happiness to his grandma. With love and an open mind so much can be accomplished but the exact opposite can totally destroy not only an individual but families/generations.

Thank you so much for sharing your grandson's story.. It would be the best thing ever if each and every one of us, gay, straight, bi, trans, questioning..all of us humans had the unconditional love and support that you have given him.

I loved this beautifully done and sweet and hopeful and positive short animated story. Made my heart happy.. And some tears fall.

Glad to see this video has become so popular. There was an article about,it in the Washington Post on Wednesday, and my son sent the link to me yesterday.
