Chris is also putting the spotlight, as Adam is, on standing up for who you are and what you believe in. No surprise that Adam would be thrilled for him. Chris's acceptance speech was heartfelt and encouraged those who are bullied or feel different to stand tall and be all they can be. Inspiring to see an actor show such sensitivity while being recognized for his portrayal of a gay high school student and the challenges he faces.

Couldn't have said it better, Anon 9:42. I love Glee and, particularly, Chris' portrayal of Kurt. I commend Glee for being brave enough to tackle these sensitive issues, and always find myself thinking of Adam. He probably experienced the same thing that Kurt portrays. Slowly but surely, the issue of being yourself and being proud are becoming more accepted due to the brave portrayals on Glee and, most importantly, Adam. Adam is brave and I'm proud to be his fan.

Doesn't Chris' speech sound similar to Adam's speech just before he sang A Change is Going To Come at his Los Angeles show at the Music Box. Great message, two proud and brave men.

I don't watch GLEE but after watching that clip of Chris winning and then thanking the gay kids who watch the show....I am tempted....

Wow! Adam must be Chris' hero because he said it almost exactly how Adam said it. "If anyone says NO, tell 'em to FY‼" instead Chris said *screw that kids*.
Adam truly is a class act.

It is a good time in America. Things are a changing! With a couple of great role models, like Adam and Chris, kids who are different are learning they can be proud of who they are. Yes, things are a changin'.

My husband and I watch Glee and love it, and I have been encouraged to see Chris Colfer's character's storyline expanded this year, to further address the issues faced by gay and lesbian teens in their everyday lives. I am so happy for Chris and am so glad he can be proud of who he is.

Brilliant! So thrilled for Chris...and the fact ADAM made a comment! Awesome!

I love Glee and I am so happy for Chris and Sue -- Congrats to them and the whole show for winning Golden Globe awards.

This is what I have been asking for. This is great. Now let´s see if the Grammy jury has the same courage. That would really change things a lot.

This is what happened at the Finnish award show yesterday, live on TV. People were a bit upset about the bare ass naked Duudson. WTF!

Oh the first link at 4:02 is about two heterosexual men kissing. That's nothing new on finnish TV. :)

Thanks so much for putting this up. I cried when I watched him win. It's validation on so many levels. Besides, he did a smokin' job with a Victor/Victoria tune! Congrats to Chris.

I don't watch Glee but it is a very touching moment when Chris's co-star is about to cry. His speech is similar to Adam's at his music box and good to see Chris to win this award.

Was the bare ass naked Dudon banned from live TV shows from here on? :)

The majority of the viewers in the poll thought the Duudsons act was not good taste, but not banned.

Also, they want to make the gay kiss a tradition in that award show. Some people think it's unnecessary, because it doesn't shock anymore. I thought the same way about the Adommy kiss.

I don't know too much about Finnish TV culture, but I think the kiss is OK just like every couple to show their passion for their partner. People always kiss on the US award show. But The bun is really something, do they show it in TV live?

5:58, they are not a gay couple kissing. They are presenters or nominees of the award show and it happened last year between women. I didn't watch the show yesterday, but it happened at live show, yes. The finnish Kultainen Venla is similar to the GG award and it was at the same time too. :)

In Sweden we had a silly show a few years ago with a naked man doing "the helicopter". I wont go into what that was. You can figure it out, I think. :)

Eva, one more story from last night from Finland and this is hilarious. The guy who kisses the other guy in the first link, hosts a tv show called (engl. transl.) "Grab the mic" and it did win an award. I just read that in the main evening news, on the other channel, the news anchor had announced he got the award for the show called "Mic in the mouth". xD I wonder what was going on in her mind..

I hope and pray that Adam would have the same opportunity to say those very words again live on national TV as well as satellite/cable TV for the rest of the world.

LOL! She must have been on YouTube watching a certain GNT concert and hadn´t recovered yet.

Eva, it came to my mind too that she's been watching GNT videos, but I don't think so, just a coincidence. It's true that she said that in the news.

Back to Chris. He can always make me cry. So happy for him, and thank you Adam for inspiring his words.

I got curious with GLEE when i heard my 21year old son singing What I Did For Love and i was delighted in a way. He was never a fan of heavy metal rock and chose to listen to Pink, Destiny's Child and Avril Lavigne instead during High School & College. I'm just glad that with GLEE he got a taste of the excellent musicality of our songs in the past.

Congratulations to Chris Colfer and the award is very timely if we are to consider the disturbing incidents that occurred last year.

I was so thrilled to see Chris win and also happy for Sue's win. I see things changing and hope this will be an accepting year for Adam. Not because he is gay, [although I hope that all of the prejudices will disappear for all people]but because he is the best at his craft and is an exceptional human being. Glee is such a great show filled with great talent and purpose. funbunn40

Ditto to you funbunn40.

I adore Glee, and especially Chris, and watched his acceptance speech over and over again yesterday. I was so touched to see Lea Michelle and Heather Morris in happy tears for him + Diana Agron SO ecstatic for him + a standing ovation from Anne Hathaway for him. Awesome.

And Adam tweeting him just made my day.
