“I’d probably buy William some eyeliner,” Lambert said. “He could do that, he could rock that look. I think.”

Liking David Cooke's new hair style and his answer - Applebees gift card. Funny! All men could benefit from eyeliner just as us women do! Good answer, cutie face Adam. ..... Adamluv

Here is an article from The Hollywood Reporter with some Adam content:

"Should Covering Songs Be Illegal? Dr. Luke, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert Weigh In"

"Prince thinks an artist's work shouldn't be available for reinterpretation, but today's HITMAKERS** are torn.." (**my highlights) : )

Here is Adam's opinion:
"Adam Lambert: “I understand where he’s coming from. I mean, he's Prince. I think he can get his way. But there is something to that, because as artists and writers, we create these songs and we have this passion and vision for it. Then the minute someone covers it, you run the risk of it either being great or falling apart.”"

Glitzlady I read the article. Adam always sounds intelligent. Now, eyeliner for Prince William, funny Adam. The monarchy would then be truly updated!

AFL you KILL ME!!! You are effing hilarious!!!

AND... You shaving your face almost overshadowed the Royal Wedding!! You create some SERIOUS waves with the slight stroke of an iPad! Dude, I mean SERIOUS... How does it feel to hold court over your Glam Minions?? I can tell you just take it all in stride, laughing all the way.

DON'T CHANGE, we are entertained. Heck, I almost forgot the main reason we LUV U so much---your singing BB! Yup, the Golden Voice... Your new album will generate MAJOR buzz, and we will ride that wave with ya, yup...

Party on Garth

Should covering songs be illegal? That's nuts!
Song writers would be cutting their own throats and profits. Good songs live decades, should they die when the artist/writer dies? Should Adam not have been allowed to sing Smokey's Tracks of My Tears? Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire?

Should new and innovative versions of songs be forbidden? Come on Prince....you're not REALLY a Prince!...................................JAK

OT - Allison Iraheta will be performing at the Taste of Pinellas (dont know what that means) on Sun. May 22 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Hope someone from 24/7 can go and report back to us! Also, Kris Allen is performing tonite at the Toad Suck Daze Festival (no kidding - that's the name!) in his hometown of Conway, Arkansas. ...... Adamluv

YES A makeup tutorial for both of them with the fabulous SUTAN ! I swear some of those hats I saw at the wedding came straight from raja's closet. Just as long as he doesnt give them the pretty kitty !!

I will be much more excited if Adam ever has a wedding than I was over the royal wedding, altho they did look wonderful

Anonymous said...

Eyeliner for Prince William .... now there's a thought! I thought he looked pretty dapper as is, in his uniform.

Fabulous Royal Wedding .... so classy. Catherine really looked like a princess.

Adam, this is not very smart about eyeliner comment. I think you are out of your mind!
Have to be very carefull if you want to have tea with Queen like Lady GaGa had!

Anonymous said...

I think Adam's advice is good- I doubt if he wants to have tea with the Queen anyway! sounds pretty boring..

Anonymous said...

@anon 11:40PM A lot of things sound pretty boring. But, when you talk about prestige, you have to forget about any side effects:)
Seems, Lady GaGa forgets about it, isn't she?
And, Sir Elton John, Sir Steve Wonder and Sir Sean Connery forgot about this little detail also, aren't they?

Anonymous said...

I heard that all men on this wedding had to wear tails:)
Seems like Adam and this trying to be AL dude JD are InStyle in this season! Hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

At least the commentator of the wedding acknowledged Elton John and 'his husband'.
Acceptance at last!

OMG! I didn´t know that this royal wedding was so exciting. Perhaps I should have watched. AND WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN? LOL!

Saw that pic earlier @Eva, pretty funny...although Wills must be very well endowed seeing as Kates head is around his knee!!!
Saw Elton John at the wedding, he looked really bad, seemed to be having trouble walking properly.

I strongly believe it´s a Photoshop, but well made.
What´s wrong with sir Elton?

Eva:

I saw the picture and in comments people were saying they saw Kate bend down briefly. The picture was snapped, it was "a picture in the moment" times. It was funny, they had pages of comments. The little girl got most comments, as she had her ears covered, not eyes.

@1:49 England is accepting of same sex couples, not US. So it is not acceptance at last here. Someday maybe.

Anonymous said...

FYI

Adam could get an honorary knighthood as a US citizen but would not get to use the title of Sir. So dreams of Sir Lambert are futile unless he became a British citizen.

I'd rather share a pint in a pub with Prince Harry than tea with the Queen.............JAK

You have come to Information Central...Taste of Pinellas is a food and music festival held each
year in downtown St.Petersburg, FL in a beautiful waterfront park.Pinellas is the name of the county. Best restaurants have booths, lots of entertainment offered. St. Pete was my hometown, now I've moved across the Tampa Bay.

Though I have a certain lingering fondness for Arkansas (lived in Little Rock) I never made it to Conway for Toad Suck Daze....thankfully!...JAK

She did indeed look beautiful! Watched parts of the festivities..Still haven't finished...I visited London two years ago and it was fun to actually know where everything was happening. Spent a whole afternoon and early evening at Westminster Abbey..so much to see. Loved it all! Here is an article I read today from a local paper. Some very funny parts. Apparently there was "professional lip reader" employed by a news service to translate all of the remarks the Royal Family said that no one could hear. My favorite quote is the one uttered by Queen Elizabeth II. Apparently she was concerned about the wedding budget! LOL!!

"I wanted them to take the smaller carriage.."

The entire article.."Lip reader deciphers Royal whispers at Wedding"

I'm not British, but I know last time when UK was fucked up, with mass unemployment, the youth rebelled. It was the punk rock era. I adored the Sex Pistols. Read that Maggie Thatcher's handbag is on sale now. xD

I am right across a bridge from St. Pete.....you might say like Alaska and Russia, I can see it from my house! Not sure if I will be going...it's 92 degrees today and that's almost a month away......and no shade there unless one of the restaurant booths would let me lie in the grass under their table.

However I might be tempted to chance melting, todays paper had the line up...Allison of course and Bonnie Raitt and Colbie Caillat and a rock group Third Eye Blind, and, be still my heart,
Chris Isaak!!!!(he sings me to sleep frequently).

To the Royal thread: Mom told me that in 1978 the Sex Pistols was banned to arrive to Finland. Some high authority was afraid of the uncontrolled excitement the band would cause among teens. It was the same year that Donald Duck suddenly turn out to be nearly porn and unsuitable for kids. The duck did not wear pants, you know! That year Finland made a fool of itself in the world media. In the same year mom put safety-pins through her auricles and travelled to London! Sanni

@JAK.
Re the hats, I thinks it dates back a couple of centuries ago when no one would go outside without their head covered. And then even when people started to not wear hats all the time they would still always wear their 'Sunday Best' and hats to church. Gradually over the years people wore hats less and less (although still often to church) but even up to about 30 years ago hats were traditionally worn at weddings, now not so much, although many people still do. But in the upper classes its still very much part of the tradition for weddings, big horse races like Ascot, regattas, garden parties etc.

Well the hats certainly kept me entertained. I think my favorite was one that looked like it was made of twigs, the wearer turned her head and jabbed the guy next to her in the neck. He slapped his hand to his throat and then checked to see if he was bleeding.

His wife was wearing a much safer vertical flying saucer type that was fastened somehow to her forehead. Super glue I think.

The sale of hats must have helped Britian's economy..................JAK

re ...JAK...haha so funny your comments on HATS...gotta say i have never worn a hat except a woolly one in a snow storm...i found this video clip of a young gay guy (regarding super glue hats) which was in our news ...its so funny ended up in hospital

Sanni, political youth organizations and children's organizations including Mannerheimin Lastensuojeluliitto banned the Sex Pistols in '78. They claimed punk rock was violent. It wasn't so. Skinheads were violent and they hated the Sex Pistols too.

don't know about good for the economy, but certainly good for the hat makers...apparently most of those hats would have sold for anything up to 1000UKP each.

@GBrit;

Of COURSE I love the hats. I'm only second generation English. My dad had the accent (I can fake it pretty well!) I wonder how much the Royal Wedding messed with the Kentucky Derby orders? I know that many attendees order the fab hats from "across the pond" because they make the best!

Checked out your comment on AMAZING thread. As a Brit and in ref. to Diana's death. My husband and were wandering thru Europe that summer of 1997 on his retirement trip. We were in Venice the day Diana died, the people were mourning her as if she were Italy's princess. Huge crowds in St. Mark's square with photos of her everywhere.

As we made our way thru Switzerland and into France, same kind of reactions. Two days after her funeral we were on a tour coach in Paris hitting all the tourist spots. We pulled up and stopped outside the Ritz hotel. The guide explained that this was were Diana left from on night she died and that we would stop here for 20 minutes for photo opportunity.

Everybody poured out the doors except driver and my husband and I. Tour guide stuck her head back in and said "aren't you coming out?" I was furious and my husband spoke up before I could.
"No, we think it's in poor taste to consider this a tour stop, it's rather ghoulish."

He was much more polite than I would have been.
The love for Diana was apparent in public places in Paris too, but I was really mad at that tour
guide!

Getting to London a few days later and seeing the
millions of flowers and notes tied to Hyde Park fences and general display of affection was astounding.....She didn't live very long but she left an imprint. I love the UK and have traveled the length and width but never got to your Isle of Wight................................JAK

awww JAK that an interesting story of your travels agree with the bad taste tour..yeah i wouldn't of been very polite either....glad you love UK...the Isle of Wight is so laid back and calm not mad hectic rushing around if you don't want to..being on the island too is low crime rate

Glambrit IOW, your island sounds lovely! Loved reading your posts and all the comments! I too loved seeing all the hats. Unfortunately, my head doesn't look good in them LOL. Your complaints about your government fighting for oil, bailing out banks, foreclosures etc...same in USA! You are not alone though I have great hopes for our current leader. I was in London in 1986 and LOVED it! I remember seeing a lot of punk then. I WILL visit there again some day and now want to visit your island.
