I absolutely love this song. The haunting melody and poignant lyrics remain with you long after you have listened to it. It may not be the first single from the new album, but it will be one that will be requested for Adam to perform over and over again. It will be the song that identifies who Adam Lambert is and how he feels. As a young man, Adam suffered rejection, confusion and depression. But look now, he has become one articulate, smart, self-confident individual. The talent was always there; all he needed was the right platform at the right time to let everyone out there see these qualities. Can't wait for the second album and the special journey this one will take us on.
BEAUTIFUL!! I still get teary eyed when I hear this song. All the hurt and cruelty that Adam and all other gays have gone through, because they are different. Yes many scars are left on these people, who just want to love someone. I hope some can find some happiness in their lives, that can be accepted by everyone.
I also love this song so much. The words and Adam's beautiful voice are stuck in my head! This is a good thing as I can hear Adam sing whenever I think of this sweet and haunting melody. I believe this song will be a hit because everything about it is ADAM! I'm so excited for what's to come! Love and Light, nancdruuu2 P.S. Congrats to Adam and Sauli on their wonderful journey of love! I'm very happy for you both!
Just brought me back to that magical evening in Ste-Agathe (before the downpoor!). The sound was perfect. The Laurentian mountains nearby were partly lit with spots and created the most beautiful scene with Adam's own stage lights. His voice just soared and made the whole event an absolute treat for the ears and eyes.
I wonder if Adam is aware that we can read his tweets and those of other finalists on the VH1 site for the "Do Something" awards. It's always so great to read his tweets when they come up.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful song as is with Adam's voice and Monte's guitar! But not for crowds larger than the one in Ste-Agathe. For larger crowds, I could well imagine adding Cam's keyboard playing, backup singers and even a horn section (on top of Adam's regular and wonderful band).
I also love this song and must confess, I listen to at least once a day! Also e-mailed it to the I like adam fans (but haven't caught the bug yet fans) and they loved it yahoo!!! Although they did say, they couldn't hear it over the screaming, but as much as I hate that, I do think it adds to this excitement that people have for him and that's a good thing for the( haven't caught the bug fans) yet to hear lol
Beautiful song. I also wish Adam would add his pre-Idol tune with Monte, "Crawl through Fire," to the new album. I loved the Zodiac Show performance of that. Would love to see Adam do that live in concert, fire sticks and all. It's still up on YouTube.
Off topic: I don't know if any of you remember matt carter- one on adam's biggest supporters, then he disappeared, he seems to have his own column now and alot of it's about adam. I always loved reading his posts and now he's back!
I don't think a single will be released by the end of this month(although I would love for it to happen.) From what I have read, it seemed that the first single would be in the fall with the album due for release in November. But who knows. There is so much excitement and anticipation surrounding this second album that it may come out sooner. I am sure that Adam will not release anything until it is exactly the way he wants it to be.
That screaming is kinda terrorism too and it's the reason I don't go to concerts where I know to be young girls. I like to listen to the music - not screaming.
Some people say Adam doesn't play a musical instrument. He didn't need Monte playing when he sang this song, his voice is his musical instrument. This song shows what he can do with his voice. Just beautiful.
Singers like Adam only come around every so often, and I wish people would listen to his music, because he is the best of the best.
I try not to bitch too much on sites but I think the screaming has to stop. This can't be interpreted as a compliment anymore. Somebody called this a Cathedral song and though I do not go to church I know it is not acceptable to scream in any sacred place. This moment of the concert in Montreal to me felt like a sacred moment. I think Monte is an awesome guitarist, he and Adam are really in the same Zone when they are on stage. It is a beautiful thing to witness.
I have listened to this song quite a few times now and everytime I listen to it, it still gives me chills. This guy has the most beautiful voice ever. Wow! I CAN NOT wait for his 2nd album to come out. I just have a feeling it's going to be fantastic. Waiting patiently!
Love his voice as always. Sorry, I still don't like that line - they say we'll rot in hell - sorry, it just doesn't appeal to me. The rest of the song is great.
I've only been "gone" 24 hours but I've missed 5 threads, it will take awhile to catch up.....or do I want to? Is there much squabbling?
I'm glad to come back to this beautiful song (which I find myself singing over and over) it's sort of hypnotic and won't leave my brain..or heart! I'm hoping to find all is well in AdamLand....too much to hope for?...........JAK
I'm a fan of Adam's for life!!!! Love Him!! However, don't like that song. Hope the whole album is not like that. I love the Rock God in Adam.. just saying.
I don't think you have to worry. I'm sure Adam will include songs to "rock out" to, after all he'll be hoping for another tour. The up tempo music outweighs the heartfelt ballads when it comes to stage performances......JAK
Outlaws of Love will be an historical evergreen. I am still very crazy about his high notes but his tenor is reverberating and so sensual. Yea he has the most beautiful string instrument. -Lam my
Lizard Eyes -- Just a note to say that Ste-Agathe is in the Laurentians part of the province of Quebec (consisting mostly of small towns and ski resorts). It's certainly not Montreal (where Adam went the day after his show in Ste-Agathe). Ste-Agathe is about an hour and a half ride from Montreal.
For the record (because I was at the show), people were excited to hear a new song but most remained quiet during the song, even pleading for silence. But, teenagers are really important in today's music business and I, for one, was actually thrilled to hear the response from them to Adam's new song and upcoming new album.
I have to agree with @ Lizard Eyes. These piercing screams are not out of an excess of emotion. If they were paying attention to the song they would have felt the emotion in Adam's voice and showed him and the song respect. I think they squeal because they know they will be able to hear themselves on Youtube videos . I've heard a few friend's daughters say, "Right here, that's me!" when a particular screech disturbs a song. Several of them are proud of yelling out during Soaked on the GNT. They consider it a sort of weird fame. Weird is right.
I still think the song is beautiful.I was just voting for Adam for the Do Something Awards.IF anybody WANTS to vote for him for the AIOTM,he is way down on the third row,& if we could just get him on the first row, anywhere, that would be ok,I think.(Even David A & D,Gokey are ahead of him.) Sister, wahh, now you have an orange logo for your name, soooo special; correct colour for your part-time pr.... job that you told me about. By the way, remember the last time we met, you said: Sheeeh, I hear someone coming...; I actually saw a figure that looked like Adam but he hurried off very fast; like he always does, for security reasons, I guess. Did you see that? What could he be doing there? -Lam my
I do understand what you are saying about a sacred place. When someone exposes their heart and soul, like Adam does in this song, it is truly a sacred space. I think the same when he sings Aftermath. Heart and soul wide open to his audience. Respect for the that would be appropriate.
I'm mesmerised each time I hear this soulful song filled with such wistful longing for acceptance. Adam's voice is so perfectly trained. It shows in every beautiful clear note, annunciating every word and finishing the last letter in every word. No sloppiness, just great care and excellence, as well as the right amount of emotion, focusing on the importance of the lyrics with no distractions, just that angelic, pure voice and Monte's magical guitar. I also am disappointed in the lack of respect and rudeness of fans that scream and sully the mood with their screaming. That's one thing I've always appreciated in theatre, quiet and respect for those on stage and wildly applauding at the end of a song, or when approprate. I learned those lessons at a young age at home, but common sense should prevail when Adam is singing his heart out with quiet emotion, trying to stay in the mood of the song. Fever or WLL,etc, gets fans up & dancing with Adam a part of it, Just wish some would have more respect, at least for Adam & his effort. Maybe they think they're making him happy by screaming, but wrong time. funbunn40
For the second album Adam will give us the variety of his music and we are going to be satisfied indeed. Rock edge, deep and honest combine in one, I can't wait to hear it....
The screaming is a TOTALLY appropriate response for those who choose to display their emotion in this way. It is a concert (right)???The song is beautiful. I also have listened to it over and over. The part without lyrics drags the song a little for me/otherwise it could definitely catch on.
How very nice of you to be an alert defender, I appreciate it........but I must confess to you and @ Lam my and @ Sister that the naughtiness was indeed me. (@ Lam my, I am hanging my head in shame). After my 24 hours of silence a well of naughtiness was bubbling up inside me and just overflowed..........Bad JAK! :)
Please don't scream constantly when Adam sings something so beautiful. Mind you, screaming is better than someone talking, as they often did during 'Soaked', now that was the pits!
Bad JAK, I knew it was you when I replied because of your usual sharp dry wit, sometimes weird too. But when JB so kindly alerted us, it cast a doubt. No problem. :) -Lam my
Screaming, screeching and yelling are as it should be during a high energy rock number. Fans jump up and down, dance, wave their hands...all in keeping with the vibe of the song. During a ballad esp. one that is so poignant and haunting, I would hope the audience would be somewhat quiet and respectful to appreciate the song, the lyrics and esp. Adam's voice. Applaud, scream, yell after it is over. I also hate the talkers no matter where: at the movies, in the theater, at a concert. If you want to talk, stay home, go out somewhere to have these conversations that are mostly meaningless. It just seems that so many people today are completely ignorant or disrespectful in their behavior and feel entitled to do and act however they want, wherever they are. This is the cell phone, texting, you tube generation with manners and politeness no longer part of everyday behavior. So sad...
New Picture of Adam and Sauli circulating around. I don't know where or when this was taken or by whom,: saw it on Twitter this AM: They both look gorgeous tho so had to share it... No doubt more info will emerge as the day goes by!
I can't wait to hear this song on album....I prefer "live" but the screams ruin the song..... Maybe at some point we can hear it live where the audience isn't drinking and the song gets the respect it deserves.....oh well can't blame the fans for being excited....
About the picture of Adam and Sauli just posted above:
I just got a message from a friend on Twitter: She DM'd me and said there are rumors that the picture I posted above at 6:37 AM may have been stolen from Adam's private Facebook acct..so we may not want to share it further until we know what the story is. : (
Regarding the comment on the lyrics of Adam's song, "they say we'll rot in hell". I think it is a very crucial lyric because it represents Adam's pain and the pain of all gay people I would think. Unfortunately many religious groups and political parties in the US do think gays will rot in hell. Imagine what this can do to a person. I am in awe how Adam (and others) can stay so positive and loving living under these circumstances knowing what many, many people deeply believe. I am mostly touched by the lyric, "I don't think we will". It makes me feel Adam has come to terms with the hate and believes he is "okay". Isn't that what we all want to believe. Of course, I don't know what Adam really thinks, but I think he's a great example of how to live and love in the face of ignorance and intolerance. Thank God Adam knows he has millions of fans who love him so much. Peace to All, nancdruuu2
@Anon 7:23 AM I don't know anything one way or the other..I'm just reporting what I was told..Respecting the info I got from someone who is pretty knowledgable. I would suspect he might even post it on Twitter himself since its out there and it's a beautiful picture indeed. Who knows. : ) Either way, its being seen by a lot of people. And its gorgeous.
Love love love outlaws of love! I can't stop listening, the words, the melody Adam's voice, all perfection. Can not wait to hear his first single and the whole album, but this song touches your heart and soul.
This is a very beautiful song with very powerful message. I don't want to defend the screamer, it is annoying but this is a pop/rock concert, not in theater. People attending those concert scream at the top of their lung. Still remember my first rock concert I cannot speak for the next two days, the energy generate from the performer are incredible high that you thought you are in a cult group. Wow! The picture is beautiful! <3
Was there - screaming (teens scream) was a little annoying, but was minor. Just the fact that he sang a song that will be on the new album was major - and not expected. While waiting for Adam to come out, the consensus was that he wouldn't sing a new song because it would immediately be on youtube/internet (Suz was there). We were overjoyed when we realized what was happening. Fantastic concert experience, getting soaked (rain) included.
Adam has moved up some for the AIOTM.,but David A is still ahead of him...we need some more votes, please.URL is @ anom.8-8-11@12:am...Thanks!! BTW,nice pic of Adam & Sauli.
Please don't get me wrong, mommy Fan4fun coundn't read the posts yet... she is very busy killing lots (an army) of enormous cockroachs that have invaded our home (they have invaded my aunt Esther's place too), maybe they've come from Hell where people who hate gays will burn for sure. Today I'm sort of «in prision» in mummy's bedroom (and mine too), golden couple's room and bathroom to be protected from the smell of the spray-poison. That's almost the same smell that turned me mad by Easter when I got crazy like a rocker in the 70's and attacked her furiously (she got ugly scars in her legs, my poor mommy). I just want to tell that THIS MUSIC CALMS ME DOWN and makes me feel a good GamberCAT, not a bad and angry rocker one.
Hope «OUTLAWS OF LOVE» will calm dow the golden couple too (uncle Nelio and uncle Quico). Mommy is working them up and turning them more and more Glamberts everyday. But last weekend, oh-oh... too bad, (GNT's WLL are to blame!) they over reacted and BROKE DOWN our bathtube!!!!!!!!
Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna listen the beautiful voice of my sweet uncle Adam again, for the 25th time.
(- MOOOOOOMMMMMYYYYY! Come to play it again for me, I don't have the thumbs, remember?)
Sorry,URL for the AIOTM is @ anom.10:12pm..Let's get Adam ahead of David A.!!Thanks.Also,don't quit voting for the vh-1 DS awards for Adam for best musical artist. Thanks!nice pic of Adam & Sauli.
Here's a CLUE...when Monte straps on his acoustic guitar and Adam pulls up a stool ...it's going to be a ballad....STFU... Sorry...I must see things too logically.
sOrry, that link I posted @9:29 is old. It's circulating today on twitter, whereas the writer reposted it today from last nov. So much as happened with adam since then, it's not revelent anymore and really strange anyway.
To nanc@7:24- thanks for your comments on the "rot in hell" lyric. You make a good point. Maybe it's the high note placement on the word hell that seems off to me - it is such an poignant and softly beautiful note that doesn't seem to fit such a word. However, I find the rest of the song very touching.
I think high school is quite difficult for a lot of people, especially if you're not part of the "in group". I was quite isolated because I was a late bloomer physically and also was not athletic. But at least no one told me I would go to hell because of it! I can't imagine what that would be like.
Thanks @9:29, read the article. You know what ? if people don't like the way I look, in this case, the way I write, I'd say AL quote, "f*** you!" "you can't please everybody" & I'm not here to please everybody & Adam sure in the hell is not here to please everybody! Adam is "out of the frakking box!" & I'm proud that he is his own person! Adam's record sales aren't selling like subo? Cuz people are afraid to be who they really are. A bunch of hypocrites in society trying to be better than the next person. So it doesn't matter if Adam has 1 fan, or the entire world! I know Adam has a beautiful gifted instrument , & thats all I need to hear! Mwah!! K
@10:08..I see you point too..But I think that's Adam ..pushing the envelope......he said he doesn't want to be spokesperson for gay rights.. ...excuse the expression...but "he's skirting the edges"
Sue's second CD is better...kind of like Enya"s I didn't buy either one.
Once I heard Adam sing..nothing else can compare....I've purchased everything he has out..even made the mistake of buying "Take One" and kinda like it...sorry Adam..didn't buy "Take Two" tho
Dear10:08, I love that softer high note on the word...hell. If it had been a strong wail or yell, I might not have felt his pain as he grimaces to sing it from the depth of his being. He did follow it up with a beautiful all-cylinders-fire wail/yell after that though, as if to release himself from "hell". :) -Lam my

Best quality of this song yet. Thanks for posting it! What a touching song, with Adam singing from his heart about all that he endures. LL

I just got a message from a friend on Twitter: She DM'd me and said there are rumors that the picture I posted above at 6:37 AM may have been stolen from Adam's private Facebook acct..so we may not want to share it further until we know what the story is. : (
@7:10 I'm quite sure Adam wouldn't put pics he doesn't want to be public in his private FB.
Peace to All,

I don't know anything one way or the other..I'm just reporting what I was told..Respecting the info I got from someone who is pretty knowledgable.
Just the fact
that he sang a song that will be on the new album was major - and not expected. While waiting for Adam to come out, the consensus was that he wouldn't sing a new song because
it would immediately be on youtube/internet (Suz
was there).
Glamily in Paradise
Here's a CLUE...when Monte straps on his acoustic guitar and Adam pulls up a stool
...it's going to be a ballad....STFU...
Sorry...I must see things too logically.

INTERESTING LONG ARTICLE I JUST FOUND ABOUT ADAM
http://electronic-bible.electronic-translation.com/new-rock-god-or-empty-idol-adam-lambert-holds-the-keys-to-his-own-success.html
ME @ 9:28....OOPSSSSSS...Monte had his electric guitar straped on...but u know what I mean....
@9:29AM..read the article...my feeling is that
they want Adam to follow the "norm"...not our BB
didn't like the comment about make-up either....
Susan Boyle's CD was "covers" of songs
Once again apples and oranges...no comparisons
I'm happy for Susan and it'd sad she has difficulties singing live...God bless her
sOrry, that link I posted @9:29 is old.
I did think it was old.......but our Adam has done great...first year put......I just love that he is an international star......
I think high school is quite difficult for a lot of people, especially if you're not part of the "in group". I was quite isolated because I was a late bloomer physically and also was not athletic. But at least no one told me I would go to hell because of it! I can't imagine what that would be like.
Thanks @9:29, read the article.
You know what ? if people don't like the way I look, in this case, the way I write, I'd say AL quote, "f*** you!"
"you can't please everybody"
& I'm not here to please everybody & Adam sure in the hell is not here to please everybody!
A lot of people gave older relatives Subo's CD because they didn't know what else to get them for Christmas. (Altho I like her)
Sue's second CD is better...kind of like Enya"s
I didn't buy either one.
Once I heard Adam sing..nothing else can compare....I've purchased everything he has out..even made the mistake of buying "Take One"
and kinda like it...sorry Adam..didn't buy "Take Two" tho
Dear10:08, I love that softer high note on the word...hell. If it had been a strong wail or yell, I might not have felt his pain as he grimaces to sing it from the depth of his being. He did follow it up with a beautiful all-cylinders-fire wail/yell after that though, as if to release himself from "hell". :)

This is Verse 5 from my Boneshakerjak poem, dedicated to Outlaws of Love...
Well well well
How could he rot in hell?
Look into those eyes
Can't you see the smile?
