Adam and Leila both look terrific. She is a beautiful woman and he is a very gorgeous man. Nice to read that they were honored at this social event tonight. Mom must be very proud of her son and all he has achieved in the last several years.

That is a very different look for BB,but a nice one.I wonder if that's a new suit.Leila always looks very pretty,& it's so nice the she & Adam are so close. To vote for the AIOTM go here: http://tweeter.faxo.com/american_idol_of_the_month/2011/08..Thanks!!

Julie needs to stop following Adam around like she's a stalker. I met her at one of Adam's GNT cocerts, and she's no sweet lady I can tell you that. Is she an active member of PFLAG or is she just going to these things to see Adam? (No haters b/c of this comment..just telling it like it is)
Adam and Leila look wonderful - so happy for both of them. I'm glad PGLAF is honoring 2 terrific people.

Anonymous said...

Who is this Julie? I have no clue. And you say she is not a sweet lady? Didn't you need an invitation to get into this event? If she is a "stalker", would Adam be seen with her and have a picture taken? From the last picture it seems as if a number of older folks were there. But Adam and his mother do look great and I am sure it was a nice honor for both of them.

A #1 ... Beautifully and appropriately dressed for the occasion....JAK

Wow..so proud of Adam. So happy the PFLAG honored him and Leila. He looks so handsome.

Adam and Leila are so classy. So loved and respected. This event really shows how the both of them have influenced so many people, in a good way.

Wow! Adam and Leila look soooooo fine! Leila does not look old enough to be Adam's mother! He is so proud of her as she is of Adam. She must be such a wonderful, supportive mother. Adam is very lucky to have the parents he does. Then again, what a very, very special son he is. It's wonderful that PGLAF is honoring them both. Congrats Adam and Leila.

7:50pm -- yes Adam would be seen with her and have his pic taken with her b/c he's sweet that way. He loves his fans.

7:50 pm -- Julie lives in Arizona, so unless she's an active member of the local PFLAG chapter, or she's an executve of the organization, then..

Never saw Adam in classic suite. Fantastic! He doesn't wear a lot of make up, very simple t-shirt.
Adam, you are rock!
Leila is amazing, beautiful, charming (as usual:)
Both of them desreve this honor like nobody else.

Adam's beautiful inside and out...just glad to see everyone acknowledging his talent and good deeds

No Sauli?

Anonymous said...

@ 8:59. Sauli has a childhood friend visiting in LA, probably didn't want to leave her alone. And this was an event honoring mother and son, so it was sweet of Adam & Leila to go together (just them).

Anonymous said...

Leila is such a beautiful woman. looks so young.

Julie is named in the picture credits as:@AZGlamFan

Not sure if Sauli would have liked it anyway. He would be happy for Adam and his mom, but it looks like a rather boring group, and he wouldn't know anyone. Nice to be a friend of Sauli, and get to stay in Adam's house.

Looks can be deceiving. Let's think of them as enlightened people who support the PFLAG org.

I just looked at these pictures (am out of town and have limited internet access...darn!!!) and Adam is looking so handsome and happy and Leila is gorgeous as usual: What a well-deserved honor for both of them! Two very special people: so happy for them!

Okay...So.. I scrolled down through the comments and I also saw a couple of questions/comments re Julie (@AZGlamFan). I have to say I am rather appalled....

To whom it may concern:
Julie is a personal friend of mine and I don't appreciate the negativity directed toward her. I think there may be some misconceptions here. She and her husband are very supportive of Adam, and other artists as well. She put together five very successful pre and post GNT Adam Lambert Fans Fan Club Parties in Hawaii and LA last year, all of which I attended. She is not a "stalker" and does not deserve that label. This PFLAG event was by invitation only and the money that was paid for tickets to the event goes to a good cause. She was invited, obviously, and deservedly so. There are many fans who have gone to many, many GNT concerts: I've been to 6 GNT's plus 3 other Adam-related concerts: am I a "stalker"??? Don't think so! I just consider myself very fortunate indeed. Or for that matter, Suz526??? Heck no!!!! I would say Julie is one very lucky lady to be in the position to be able to attend these events and support Adam in this way, while at the same time contributing to and raising funds for, worthwhile causes such as the Trevor Project and PFLAG, as well as arranging Fan Club events last year, one of which was at Bardot nightclub in Hollywood (a complete blast..)...,which were opportunities to meet other fans and celebrate Adam's successful Glam Nation Tour. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and this is mine. I know more about Julie, but all you need to know is that she is supporting Adam in any way that she can, just like the rest of us. If she gets to meet Adam in the process, more power to her!

Anonymous said...

If you went to her "very successful" post party in Hawaii last year, you would know that she personally excluded Adam's fans from being a part of the "post party" even though she widely advertised it as an all-welcoming event, so I hardly consider that a succesfuly post party, a welcoming one or type of behavior that is consistent with PFLAG ideals.....(just mine opinions as well). She turned off many of his fans by this behavior. Perhaps you didn't witness this behavior, or maybe you were part of her little group...who knows. I just know Adam is special, his mom his special, and he should be celebrated and not the reason to exclude his fans b/c she things she's his "mom" or any other special being. You can be appalled, but many of us are equally appalled by your friend's behavior. Suz526 has never behaved that way....so you shouldn't even include her with the likes of Julie.

The more people that support the PFLAG org.the more productive they will be helping others. Adam and Leila look stunning and were so deserving of being honored. Class acts, both of them. funbunn40

Anonymous said...

It's great supporting PFLAG, and as human beings we all should support an organization like PFLAG, but you can provide support for PFLAG without traveling from out of state to attend events in LA -- ones where Adam will be at. There are 13 PLAG chapters in Arizona.

Anonymous said...

Is Leila getting younger?? Wow, she looks stunning. She looks like she lost some weight. Of course, Adam always looks freaking perfect.

@Anon 11:22 PM
Hmmm... To my knowledge, the post party in Hawaii was open to those who wished to attend..and in fact was open to the public on a limited basis, as it did not fill up completely with Fan Club members. It was however a 21 and over party because it was in a bar at Waikiki. It only held so many people. It's possible people were turned away due to being under age, or venue limits... I signed up just like everyone else who wished to go. I'm a Fan Club member, as are many other people. Beyond that, I'm sorry you are angry. I know what my experience was, and it was positive. Those parties were open to all Adam Lambert Fan Club members and their guests only (with the exception of the Hawaii post party...). They were considered to be private parties (just like the PFLAG party, which was more so, by invitation only). All of them filled up over time..(except for the post party in Hawaii..) and once that happened, they had to close it to others due to venue limits. There are obviously two sides to every story, and different perspectives. I'm not going to argue with you, since you have your own experience and point of view. I was telling you mine, based on what I know and my experience, and what I know of the events. I only responded to your comment above because I want to clarify to others reading this that people were not excluded based on anyone's whim, but due to the venues filling up and the requirement of being a fan club member. I'm really not sure what you are talking about when you say "she personally excluded Adam's fans.....". Perhaps there was some misunderstanding regarding who was eligible to attend? I hope your experience is a better one next time around.

Beautiful man at a worthwhile event. What a great night!!!

We all love Adam and all he is, but there is a fine line between a very avid fan and a "creeper". Julie must be blessed with that sweet husband with her and his money. The way she followed him thru GNT was unbelievable.......and very expensive. Most of us who are fans don't have the money (thus connections) to enjoy those glorious moments with Adam. It is nice of her to share things with us, but it is beginning to feel like she is just gloating. She is not like Suz526 who works her tush off to get us great pictures of Adam but does not have the "connections" to get right up to Adam. I sometimes feel a little strange and think I am living in a little bit of a "crazed fan bubble" because I check on Adam every day, but whoa......it appears as though some people are really crossing that line. Yes, I am happy to see the great pictures of Adam and Leila, but I hope Adam understands that we fans that can't fly to every place he appears love him just as much as the few fans that certainly follow him like little ticks. Really worried when there are fans THAT bent on being everywhere Adam is......really worrisome about his privacy. Guess it sounds like sour grapes, and yes, maybe if I had money I would have gone to a couple of Adam's concerts (instead of just one wonderful one)but enjoying the great pictures of him along with the Nah nah nah nah nah vibes makes it creepy. I met Julie at an event and found her to be just as " I am special and you'd better believe it" as she comes across here. I want to make it clear that I'm not hating on her.....only wishing I could get one hug from him in my lifetime instead of reading about her multiple hugs. There is for sure an inner circle of well to do fans, and I guess I am just glad that they are supporting all the wonderful chairities that Adam loves. I guess it all comes from love for Adam, and it is just one more time when money buys you pleasure that all fans desire. Love on him Julie, and I have to admit, if I was able to be with him the way you are, I would probably come across a little "lucky to be me" too. Love him for us, and take a big whiff of his scent for us and describe it so we can use our imaginations and pretend we were there.

Anonymous said...

Yes @ 5:18 you are correct. Life allows the well to do to enjoy pleasures we only dream about. I too find myself having problems being overjoyed about the few fans that seem to be able to be everywhere. Cannot imagine what it would be like to be anywhere near Adam or any of his family, band, or dancers. I really enjoy the "inside edition" these lucky people let us peek into, but I understand the frustration. I am trying so hard to be happy for those lucky few, and like you, hoping that Adam realizes that those of us who save up tirelessly just to buy his CD's and maybe a tee shirt love him and his wonderful causes just as much as those who are fortunate enough to have contacts that get them in and up close. So happy these special and well to do fans are donating some of thier money to all that Adam believes in. Love to see all the great pics and such that the Inner Circle are able to grab......just hoping that someday we will all have a glimpse of Adam up close.....a hug would probably cause me to hyperventilate, so I would just be happy with a close glimpse. It would be nice to know that these lucky fans of privilege realize just how lucky they are and gather some humility from our humble Adam. Adam.......I don't have a cent to spare right now, but if I had the cash, it would be going to help one of your many special charities. Thanks to those inner circle fans that share thier wealth with his causes too. I guess our envy can't be helped. It is envy, not hate........we are all just happy to get news that you are so happy. Gives me a fuzzy, warm heart.

Anonymous said...

Adam and his mother look happy and beautiful. He is so proud of Leila and would do anything for her. I hope this charity would benefit some families who need those support. Adam is doing this for his mother and he probably know there are gonna to be lots of grannies there. :)

Anonymous said...

Had long conversation with people very close to Adam and guys don't worry,Adam sees everything and everyone and understands situations really well. He's the first person who would never follow around another artist,he doesn't get it, yet he's gracious enough to respect it. But no, he doesn't understand it because he'd never do it for anybody. Spend so much time and money to follow an artist. And he does have close people around him who tells him about "creepy" situations. He's very much aware.

Glad for fans that were able to attend this event and posted/tweeted about it. To those who are jealous, I'll say, jealousy can damage your liver and avoid jealousy as you would run away from roaring lion.

Anonymous said...

Ampm 12:26 am...I appreciate your perspective on the after party in Hawaii, but we were all over 21 -- and we were one of the first few there, and there were only a handful of people in the "VIP" area where this after party was taking place. We also were fan club members. No reason in the world why we couldn't participate other than the desire to exclude others.
It's okay, though. I support Adam and love everything he represents whether or not I am "allowed" to "cross the line" into the VIP area. Every fan I've met has been so sweet, giving and loving on Adam except Julie -- who behaved the opposite. Money doesn't equal class or humility. Perhaps during Adam's next concert tour that ALL of his fans would be welcome for the sake of celebrating this wonderful, talented human being.

Anonymous said...

6:37 thank you for making this comment. Puts a lot of fans at ease I'm sure. 5:18 & 5:33 , why dont you tweet Adam your concerns about him knowing the love that comes from fans who arent as fortunate to travel around the world to be where he is, is just as real or much as he wealthy ones. Like 6:37 says, I know he is smart enough to understand this. All these older women following him so much, has to creep him out. Just think, if you women were a 29 year old female singer and had old men lusting after you all the time, front row hoggies show after show, yes that would creep me out too.

@7:43 I agree. Julie is not a nice person, at all. I also met her at a GNT concert and everyone thought she was a b*tch because of her behavior towards others. She has met Adam many, many times now, which does seem stalkerish. After the concert, she was in the crowd of fans, just like the rest of us, waiting to get Adam's autograph. She's just an overzealous, creeper fan who chooses to spend her money following Adam around.

Now, Suz "follows" Adam around, but her goal is to record performances to share with us. I have only seen one photo of Suz and Adam, and I also met Suz at a GNT concert. She IS super sweet, loves what she does, and loves sharing the videos. On the other hand, IMO, after having been around Julie for several days, I truly believe she does this so others will be envious of her.

Anyway...lovely pictures of Adam and Leila!

@glitzylady
I was at the after-party in Waikiki and I was appalled at Julie's behavior. She came across as someone who thinks she is superior or "more special" than other fans. Yes, I agree, she has supported Adam, but maybe she should take a hint from him and at least TRY to be modest and sincere in her attitude toward others. And perhaps as a personal friend of hers, you could talk to her about this and let her know that she is coming across this way. Maybe she doesn't know that she is. Or, maybe she does know and doesn't care.
I was all excited to see new pictures of Adam from PFLAG until I came across the ones with Julie in them. And, no, I'm not saying that from jealousy as I have met Adam several times myself and been to a number of concerts. I agree with the person who said that she does this to try and make people envious of her.

So, instead of being appalled at US for being upset with Julie, maybe you should try and understand WHY many people feel the way they do about her and then try and help your friend do something to change that.

Anonymous said...

GL try to ignore these bizarre posts. Just some way to rain on this nice day of Adam and his mom. I loved Adam's suit jacket and both of their spontaneous speeches. That wine looking fine too.

Anonymous said...

My name is not Sybil. Yes, the same hardcore fans bought multiple meet & greets and followed Adam to Europe, but so what. You pay and you get to the front row, that's how it goes. Also pretty boys would get to the front without queueing and also to the back stage. I think the fans paid Suz that she could travel, because they wanted her vids.

Anonymous said...

10:36 I'd like you to know I sent a thank you to a persons comment here. I have no idea who ( 6:37) he or she is. Face it people, facts are facts. Is the only response to some all out truth here, trolls? I can laugh out loud at this. Since, I'm reading a comment about this Julie person meeting Adam several times, and then stands in line for an autograph, now that is disgusting. Make room for fans who've never had the opportunity. This young sexy man doesnt want to see a bunch of old ladies stalking over him all the time, just like pretty young girls wouldnt want dirty old men stalking over them.
Sick. Put yourself in his shoes, as nice as he is, he is creeped out over this.

Anonymous said...

I witnessed this..mature ladies at M&G being there for the 5th time being all bossy like he belonged to them and being bossy even to him, suggesting he should have invited the die-hard fans to lunch or dinner because M&G were too short..heard it with my own ears (room was small) and heard comments from him and staff..they all reacted like this type of "pressure" on him from this type of everpresent women was well known, while I couldn't believe it. And they wouldn't go. He is so incredibly polite during M&G and yet some take it for granted like he owns them extra time. But these fans are luckily a minority. And yes he notices when there are younger people and boys in the audience and that makes him smile a lot. The word jealousy has nothing to do here. One can be jealous of Sauli maybe (silly waste of time anyway) but definetely not jealous of demanding almost obsessive fans. Adam sees everything. And thankfully he knows most fans are lovely and discrete.

Anonymous said...

I don't know who this Julie is, nor who her husband is, nor whether or not she's seen Adam a million times. I believe that people can get different impressions of the same person depending on personal experiences. She probably doesn't need to be discussed here since what she does is of little consequence to any of us. However, I get annoyed at the number of times on this site that a poster gets called a TROLL any time someone doesn't agree with an opinion. State your concept of the truth in polite disagreement without the ridiculous name calling and labeling.

Anonymous said...

If life without any moral boundaries, we all want to nail Adam. It has been like this since entertainment begins, not just in our fandom, but everywhere. Don't worry, Adam knows how to deal with different types of fan. He has seen the creepiest out of the creepiest. He lives in LA, the center of entertainment industry.Don't take it too serious. I am glad to see Adam has family and friends loves him unconditionally, including us!

To all those who posted negative comments about Julie - Jelousy is a very ugly desease, all those who suffer from it are in denial. I don't see her hurting Adam or anyone, your lives must be very miserable to be such negative people. "All we need in this world is some LOVE!" Adam love all his fans. Stop this age and financial status discrimination already!! Is that not what Adam is about - fighting discriminination. She was there because she was obviously invited and hopefully had a positive impact/contribution. Stop obsessing on things that you have no control over and find something positive in your lives(if there is any)and let other fans appreciate Adam in whichever they choose.."it ain't that deep"

Thanks to Julie for wonderful pictures!

No more comments from me about this topic that has taken away from the fact that Adam and Leila were honored so generously by PFLAG. I said what I had to say about Julie...I have never met Adam personally and hope to some day. Enough said about that. Celebrating the honors Adam has received lately. That is what is most important here.

I will say this, because I must. Adam's fans, including "the old ladies" that some wish to malign, call them stalkers, "creepy" etc, have supported Adam throughout his career, through the good times, and the not so good, and I assume he appreciates that, regardless of age or who they are. I totally agree that he needs to be recognized by fans of all ages, and by more "younger" fans as well. It will happen. The reason I and my family, four generations, ranging in age from 9 to 90...(the 90 year old is a male by the way...he loves Adam's voice..he can't see him, because he is nearly blind but recognizes Adam's voice as rare and beautiful..) is because he is a multi-talented and blessed man who, along with his voice, is a kind, generous, decent man. We all agree that Adam needs all the fans he can get at this point in his career, and, yes, I've heard about some of the more obsessive fans, and also heard that his security keep an eye on a few (this is not new news....), the majority are there to let him know that he is loved by many fans the world over. To pit fan against fan, particularly by making disparaging comments about his older fans, is just mean and unnecessary. The "older" fans went to more than one concert sometimes because of they have the time and the money to do so, particularly in the US. Just a fact of life. They, along with the "younger" fans, helped to make his concert tour one of the most successful of all the tours last year, in a year that was not the best for touring musicians. I have to admit I'm one of those "older" (over 35 or whatever you wish to define as "older") that went to more than one: other family members did as well..all ages. So sad that one group of fans must be lumped together and declared "creepy". There are "creepy" and obsessive fans of all ages, in all fandoms...My definition of "creepy" is the non-fans out there, the haters who call Adam terrible names, and wish him ill. Or the supposed-fans who deny his relationship with Sauli..and "ship" some other imagined relationship. Let's cut the crap and just support Adam as each of us can do in our own way. Its about Adam...period. He's the reason we are here in the first place.

Thank you Julie! I appreciate the job you have done and dealt with us.

I love the pics and glad Julie was there to take them. I will never get to meet Adam or see him live. I am an older person, and I adore this young man, so I guess I am "creepy". If I had the money and health to see him 50 times, I would. The M&G's, I think I would let others get to meet him, if I had done so many times. That would make me feel good, to give someone else a chance to see him up close and personal.

Julie was quoted on another site that she is going to Las Vegas, and has more pics and she hasn't decided to share or not, after the negative remarks. I think she got hurt feelings, and I wish people would think before they says things. Now some of us that can't get out, or afford to go to events, are the losers.

Adam is about love and acceptance, how did we get so critical?

P.A.S.

My oh my. What an interesting thread.

Love that Adam and Leila were honored. So articulate, so beautiful. Leila's speech actually brought tears to my eyes.

And, I have met AZ/Julie more than once. If you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything is the expression , right? Well, then, I have nothing to say.

Except this: Sometimes when you have the means to have a lot, sharing is the best gift.

I have personally encountered several fans who bought meet and greets for friends during GN. I have personally met fans who bought fansite memberships for those who couldn't afford the 10 bucks. Those people are wonderful.

Yes, I get it that the wealthy and older ladies support and give to charities in large amounts. Yes, I get it that their support was a large part of GN. But, I do also believe that Adam and his team understand who the creepy fans are.

I just have a problem with the entitled fans and their behavior. I have met Adam twice. I have seen 5 shows. I went to Hawaii. I did not go to the "parties", didn't want to, after having had the "pleasure" of several encounters with AZ and her group. Sorry. The smiles we've seen lately at the Equality award and last night just were not there on tour.

My friends and I all decided that we have never, and will never behave the way that very entitled group of women act. I have met Suz. She is sweet and gracious and lovely. Very generous.

Heck. Maybe they would recognize me and my friends. We've all been up close many times, and have all had M&G's. What separates us is the attitude and the behavior. If anyone has seen it, they know what it is. It has been discussed so many times in so many blogs.

I'm not saying these things to be hurtful. I'm not jealous. There are rich, entitled people in many areas of life, not just entertainment and groupies. I just hope these ladies get a wake up call. I don't think this will be tolerated by the fans again. They were pushy, confrontational, rude and overall just creepy and down-right bitchy. Not what Adam represents. IMHO.

Also, I'm hoping that the fanclub/fansite limits M&G's to one or two per tour per fan. That way Adam can meet more fans, and more fans can meet him.

So proud and happy for Adam and his mom. It is great to see the love between them. We need to all remember to share our love with others the way they share love with all of us. Sad that money still buys fans (over zealous fans) the chance to go everywhere Adam goes. This part of the story upsets me, but if Adam makes it such a point of handling all the aspects of fandom, I am going to trust him to understand that these people exist and that he (and people of his family and close friends) are all protected by security always being nearby. Adam has had an amazing couple of months and he needs to know how we are all so proud of what he does to make the world a happier and better place. That is what last night was all about......he and his mom's great effect on people. They promote love and fairness, and don't appreciate hating and bashing. Hope all of us fans that haven't been lucky enough to meet Adam up close will have our chance someday even though we don't have the cash to buy a special spot at a show. Love your music Adam....love your attitude, and love your humility.

@8:24 AMEN!!!!!! COMPLETELY agree with you re Julie;...it's NOT about jealousy -- as some of you say it is b/c it's a quick way to brush off the obvious. It's her attitude, her behavior. I'm perfectly okay NEVER seeing another pic of Julie and Adam -- noone cares to see Julie. We care to see amd support Adam. I've been to 6+ GNT concerts, have met Julie, and agree with the above comments. She was harsh, dismissive and condescending. She is NOTHING that Adam stands for, so that's why people are reacting to her pictures the way they are. I never really thought of her again until now, since I'm being bombarded with pics/blogs form her at all of these events. She DOES do this hoping people are jealous of her. I'm not jealous at all. I've met Adam a couple of times, so I don't need to live vicariously through her...although she's hoping we all do. This thread has turned into talking about Julie b/c she's always publicizing her pictures and stories. If she can't take people commenting about her, then she shouldn't be so eager to put herself out there for his fans to see. If you notice, the most interesting thing on here was Adam's and Leila's speeches...not pics of Julie and her husband. This does sound harsh -- I agree, but Julie needs to understand that we all don't want to be her just because she's had the fortune of seeing Adam as much as she has. I'd love to see Adam over and over again -- he is so hot, nice, sweet, gentle, kind, respectiful. The difference between me and Julie is that I wouldn't post pics of myself and him every time I had the opportunity to meet him.

Anon 10:16 pm -- LOL...too funny...Let's get back to our favorite male performer b/c he is the reason I've smiled so much this past year. I've met some wonderful people thru the fan club, and it has been a joy following Adam and his adventures. He's an absolute gem...I love him to pieces. I refuse to let (one distatestful fan) ruin my experiences and memories b/c there are thousands of other lovely fans who adore Adam and are kind, pleasant people. I so look forward to meeting more of his fans when he goes on tour again (maybe in 2012?)

I`m over 35 too and I love Adam and I'm not a "creepy" fan.I've been in many many show of many singers and I think is not about the age is about education and behave.I still couldn't see him LIVE but I really hope to make it on his next tour. We ALL want to enjoy Adam's music and his great voice, having a good time, thats all!!

Guys -- I don't think it's so much about the age as it is about someone's behavior and attitude. I'm over 35 and love Adam, but I also acknoweldge that Julie did not treat Adam's other fans with respect and kindness. She was abrasive and rude -- that's the problem. The problem is NOT about how she is older. The problem is that she is a fan, she shows all of these pictures of her and Adam, yet she does not walk the talk.
