Adam has already said he isn't trying to replace Freddie. Adam is only doing one show with Queen. Why has this become such a big issue?

Adam said in a recent interview "I’m not trying too imitate him or outdo him or compete in any way, that’s not even in my mind at all, I think its really an honour to be asked to sing the music that the and the ban wrote and get up there and put on a good show. If people are too busy trying to compare they’re not going to enjoy the music,” Lambert said in an interview with NME.

Asked if he is the new, full time Queen frontman, Adam said not. "It’s really a one-off experience with the band, and I’m really excited for it. But I’m not joining the band and touring with them.”

QUEEN fans .. haters & trolls have made this an issue. Some of their fans want Brian & Roger to stop using the name QUEEN b/cuz Freddie is no longer a part of the band ... retire the name & the music(idiots). Others are just a bunch of homophobic imbecils making nasty remarks about ADAM ... lying about his GNT concerts ... just a bunch of BULL****. I came here to get away from all that!! What MORONS!!

I think some are getting really scared Adam may be able to replace Freddie. My honest opinion is vocal-wise and maybe looks too, Adam has a slight edge over Freddie. But talent-wise and persona, I feel they are about equal in their own respective artistry. Then again, it could be I really have not heard Freddie sing or perform with such closeness as I have, Adam. But why do people always feel so threatened? Can't they accept exceptional, rare talent or skill per se without letting the person overshadow them. Especially when an artist like Adam is deserving and certainly not trying to mimic or overtake Freddie in any sort of way. If people just focus on the talent instead of the person, a lot of other related issues can become non-existent, as opposed to harbouring negative pre-conceived notions. That way one is more free of prejudices and more peaceful. In a nutshell, be more open-minded.

Haha! That was quite silly but someone put a whole lot of effort into making it. The sooner the whole issue is dropped by the media and diehard Queen/Freddie fans the better. It'll all start again after July 7.

Show must go on! DEFINITELY,couldn't say it any better myself. Adam is up for the challenge and he'll be great. Besides, Brian, Roger and the glamily has his back. Adam is used to challenges and this is no different. I only hope there is no bottling. July can't come soon enough!
P.S. I enjoyed the video and so caught the humor and ridiculousness of all the nay-sayers.

I'd forgotten that old Fats Waller song. The men in my family would be in big trouble, their "feets are too big"......13-13-14-16 ! But we love them anyway!

Freddie Mercury has (sadly) been gone for a long time. What is Queen supposed to do - continue without a lead singer forever??? Is that what's appropriate rather than someone talented, respectful and determined to keep that treasured music forefront and alive, presenting it in a single concert? It's just more homophobic crap and Adam's clear eyed, straight up courage just continues to amaze and inspire me everyday - nearly 3 years since my jaw dropped when he sang "It's Black, it's White" then stood with tears in his eyes as the audience and judges reacted as they never had before and have not since.

I was afraid to open this at first, but I'm so glad I did. It really makes the point of how ridiculous all this hate is. I agree with Lam-my and some others who rightly say that these haters must see Adam as a real threat BECAUSE HE IS SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. If he was nowhere close to Freddie, talent-wise, no one would have their undies in a knot. But because Adam is right up there in Freddie's league, all hell breaks loose. Adam is perceived as a real threat, even if this is just ONE SHOW, for cryin' out loud.

I hope the hate-frenzy dies down soon. They have to get tired sometime. I know it will build up again just before the concert, but we all need a rest.

I hope the security at the concert is excellent. Bottles, etc. NO WAY. Adam and the band need to be safe.

I hope many Glamberts get to be close to the stage. Adam needs the support.

I hope this concert solidifies Adam's place as an elite performer worthy of attention and respect. Comments like "he can't sing" are simply emotional responses to the fear that he is infiltrating on sacred ground. That being said, the haters will say Adam was terrible regardless of how well he does. We can expect that.

I hope the legit Brit media gives Adam the benefit of the doubt as the show draws near.

I hope Brian and Roger step up afterward and give Adam his due. They are class guys. I know they will.

I hope that further Adam/Queen shows will take place in the future, (few, but special). This will show that no one is afraid of the bullies. The show must go on!

People spewing negative comments on twitter do so because they KNOW that Adam Lambert is a GREAT VOCALIST and LIVE PERFORMER.

What the Queen fans that only want to keep Queen as "Freddie" don't get is that teenagers and college students know only a few Queen songs, they love them and having someone honor Freddie's memory and bring the music to life for my generation is someone like Adam. If you really loved Queen you would realize that Freddie would be thrilled to have someone interpret his songs and want his memory and songs to live on today. Tess is right, there are some Freddie fans who think Brian and Roger shouldn't continue. That anything they do or lead singers they bring in is sacrilegious. Makes me feel bad that they have to deal with this crap too. I can't imagine that they didn't talk to Freddie before he died and that he didn't tell them he wanted them to keep the band going. First of all...that was hilarious! And it also brought a little tear to my eye...because I'm SO proud of Adam, that he has the talent and the voice to be chosen by Roger Taylor and Brian May to sing with them...Just incredible...I can't even begin to imagine how Adam feels, how his mom and dad feel, knowing that their beautiful boy is just THAT amazing..They already knew that, we fans already knew it..but now so many more will know it..and they might get to know Adam..

As for the haters: Haters gotta hate..There are those who just can't imagine anyone but Freddie fronting Queen, and I have a feeling there will always be those who feel that way..Can't do much about that..Some seriously think the name "Queen" should have died with Freddie. There are those who just don't "know" Adam yet, have heard little bits and pieces..know he's from Idol..and can't imagine anyone that comes from a "karaoke talent show" could be any good.. I've been voting on 2 different computers daily for Adam on the Vh1 Countdown and I also cannot believe he didn't make it on the Top 20 this week. When Jump Start comes on every weekday morning his name is listed for Upcoming Releases. I just don't understand what the magic formula is. When you compare the number of views he has to some other "new releases" he's way ahead so what's up? Just not enough fans on Twitter or FB? I vote using the Twitter icon & it's soooo easy. Please lets not give up but keep voting daily for Adam on the Top 20 Countdown.

Omg, that was great... I smiled throught the whole thing, especially when it came to the reason why... lol, it was exactly the first thing I thought of since it said shoes. On the lighter side since this is about humor, anyone out there -- if we stay light and humorous about this will also say there's another area that has the same issue. (chuckles)

Freddie was awesome and irreplaceable. I had the pleasure of seeing him on stage yrs ago. Just like I said with Adam/Elvis... no one since has struck in a similar way. It's the stage presence, performance, soaring voice, charisma, showmanship. Adam is the WHOLE entertainment package.

He's NOT trying to replace Freddie. Some of those die hard Queen fans don't even sound like fans! They want to rule the band and seem to think the remaining members should have ceased since Freddie passed. Life goes on, this is a great honor and a tribute. Adam was honored by the group, ASKED ~ invited to play that concert with Queen for God's sake.

'The show must go on',... Will it EVER!! Adam will be phenominal and is an inspiration in how he handles these matters. GO addam... lol, "Feets too big" & all. =D

i read that on twitter today! is about time!! ooppss i was one of those rabid (but polite :D) fans lol

im actually really tired of all this adam vs freddie thing.....poor adam has explained this so much and alot of people still dont get it....i dont see the big issue in this...adam is just going to sing with them as alot of the previous glamberts have said.....im really looking foward to this performance and im a huge queen fan too (even though when i discover the band freddie was already gone....i mean nobody new them in my family so i i found about them not long afo and all there songs are on my phone) and the last thing that comes to my mind is the freddie issue cause everybody knows no one can imitate fraddie but at the same time no one can imitate adam.....sorry for being extense is just what i felt to write :)

Freddie and Adam are apples and oranges, so to speak, very different. Voices, looks, stage presence, fashion. Besides lots has changed over the past 20 years since Freddie passed. The world is moving on, so should Queen.

Thank Goodness at last VH1 has come thru. We did it.
As for the Freddie/Adam stuff, time will take care of this nonsense. Adam will prove them wrong and Rogers choice right. Adam focuses on the positive not the negative so lets hope he is able to do this now. We love Ya Adam!!!
