Some fans are saying that for Jimmy Kimmel show having Adam for an outdoor mini-concert on 4/26, they added more tickets due to high demand. I checked out the site and it says SOLD OUT. Does anyone know anything about this added extra tickets?

I watched The Insider just now,& Adam was NOT on it.):When the news about Dick Clark's dying first came out,I figured Adam's part may get cut.Yesterday, all or almost all of that show was about D C,& everything he has accomplished.I wasn't surprised about BB not being on there tonight.Maybe he will be on Mon.or Tues( or even on the weekend hr version, like it is sometime)who know??It would have been,or will be very short, anyway,I bet.can't wait for Adam to sing live on Jimmy Kimmel,& for the new album to drop.

How many real fans Adam has? I mean fans who are talking about Adam, buying his CD,singles, making donations, viewing and playing his songs days and nights? I think their are just around 20,000 fans. And I'm realy proud to be one them. But we don't have to complain about all of these charts and numbers. We can download single or CD from Itunes just once. Most of us bought 4 or 5 CD's from Amazon.com. However, it doesn't work. So, lets enjoy Adam's voice and forget about Adam's fame.

6:44 you again, ho hum

Can't wait to see Adam on AI. Don't care about this show anymore.

Anonymous said...

@5:53 I've been to that site a few times (jimmy kimmel) I don't see a mention of adam anywhere? Just gaga and some other band never heard of? Anyway- I have it taped for days no matter what day it's on T.V. just in case? Also the insider I finally taped, it's coming on at 2:37 A.M ET-(sat morning) what a horrible time- when can we get adam on Prime Time??? hope it not all about dick clark (sorry don't like him anymore because he banned adam, but guess he did alot for the music industry- don't know - never followed him.

Yea I was wondering too about what the people on tv say about Dick Clark who championed the underdog and newcomers in the music industry. It doesn't quite add up for me as to why such a far-sighted person would have Adam's New Year's Eve performance cancelled right to his face, at the last minute. Maybe he was not informed about it; I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. It must have been quite a blow to Adam. I remember Gridlock who picked up a brave fallen Adam. Probably a dose of kind advice would have sufficed instead of the harsh cancellation. Not judging, just perplexed.

@Lam-my 9:40 and guess who is the owner of the Gridlock? A billionaire investor from either Saudi or United Arab Emiarete. They seeked out to have Adam for the 2010 New Year's Eve.

Sometimes I'm puzzled why these people (who can't even sing a note and live in the land of the free) are running the music industry and are decision makers for talented artists?

That's a very interesting piece of information; I had wondered who was acting behind this Gridlock, but regardless, I appreciated very much their kind gesture extended to Adam. And as a result, Adam made headlines again, LoL, and was ready to rumble and tumble on with great satisfaction and resilience. :)

@Lam-my, I also thought Dick Clark's cancellation of NY Eve was overkill and I agree some good communication would have sufficed. Adam would have gone along with the program. It had to be humiliating for him, but i was really glad for his sake that he was so quickly picked up by Gridlock and CBS morning show. Hopefully that is all behind him now. I also read that Sony in Singapore has a special promotion for 2 free tickets to Adam's Queen concert. There are notifications in some Trespassing Deluxe albums in some record stores. Adam Official should have info. I've forgotten where i had seen it.

Adam is a slut!!everybody knows that.

Yea Adam is not the hot-headed type; he respects everybody. Like you said, some constructive communication would have been more than enough.
Wow, that 2 free promotion tickets for the Adam,Queen concert is pretty wild; so I guess the Trespassing orders will shoot up. SingBerts must be thrilled to the bones. Thanks, interesting info. Yea I know which stores. I'll be running down to the store to get anything, everything Adam on May 15 or a few days later; usually the first day sees a very long queue. :)

JAK here........re Dick Clark

My daughter called me when she first heard the news of his death.
"Mom, Dick Clark died"! He was her first music guru. When she was a baby we bought our first movie camera....and every Saturday morning I parked her playpen in front of American Bandstand and she pulled herself up and danced the whole show thru. I had time to whisk thru and clean house and do laundry while Dick Clark and his guests and dancers entertained her. The first movies we have in our film library of family is of her bopping and grooving to Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Bobby Rydell and Chubby Checker....she could do a terrific Peppermist Twist at only l year old!

His death shook her up...but he began a lifetime of dance for her.
She turns 53 soon and is still dancing. Never misses a rock concert, she's in the pit dancing.
She's headed to a Nickleback concert in two weeks with her husband and son, she'll dance them into the ground.

Even though I held a grudge against him for whatever part he played in cancelling Adam's New Year's Eve performance....she only remembers him from her earliest dancing days.

She said "Mom, I cried when I heard the news"! I can understand that, a piece of her childhood is gone.

Whoa, what is up with that third picture? Looks like Adam has had some work done on his hairline since then because his hair sure is gorgeous now.

JAK
Yea yea, I loved doing the Twist with variations too; especially to Chubby Checker's...Let's twist again, till the midnight summer...and then...round and round and up and down we go again...something like that. Ooooh you brought back my hey day memories...LOL! :)

Dick Clark was not on the New Year's Eve show when Adam was cancelled. Clark was recovering from his stroke. Our one and only Ryan Seacrap was the host that night. It was a Dick Clark Production and Clark made the decisions, but I would have thought that Clark's very good friend Seacrap would have stepped up and put in a good word for Adam.

Two years ago when Adam sang WWFM in the green smoky lazer cone, Seacrap said to him after his performance "Wow! We've never had lazers on the show before." This year the show has lazers, strobes and tremendous lighting features. I guess that's another thing AI can thank Adam for. Pointing out to them in his own quiet way that their production was quite dull.

@Anon 5:35 - good point about Seacrest and his putting in a good word for Adam (or in this case not putting in a good word). Of course maybe he did and was still overruled? . . . Adamluv

Anonymous said...

I feel more inclined and leaning towards what 5:35 feels about Seacrest not defending Adam enough. After spending so much time with Adam on AI and addressing him as buddy even on stage; Seacrest, being a right-hand man to the boss and long-time colleague, might have saved Adam with a more adamant stand. Such as, Adam being a theatre pro or steeped in theatre was performing rather than behaving! A huge difference there! A constructive piece of advice to Adam would definitely have sufficed instead of a humiliating flush-out.

Seacrest is a total piece. Simon called him not being genuine about the things he says to others. He is an opportunistic person using minorities for his own advantage. Just notice how he labels Idol contestants before their performances. He was a regular DJ before Idol. Idol discovered him and Simon told him on one of the Idol shows when Ryan was trying to make fun of Cowell that he was a discovered talent by Cowell and Fuller.

HK fan said...

I've never felt that Seacrest supports Adam, from what I've heard he hardly ever plays his songs, and his interviews with him on his show are among the worst out there. The last one they did was particularly bad.

Anonymous said...

I guess it all boils down to business rivalry; that is if you don't stop someone like Adam who has risen to prominence so fast worldwide, the weaker one will lose. So those who wholeheartedly support Adam are those who have already made it and are not the least daunted or perturbed. What I'm against is not so much whether Seacrest supports Adam or not; that is his perogative; rather, he stood by and watched Adam fall when indeed he was the best person to give him a hand; and then on stage acting so close and calling him buddy. That's hypocrisy. Once again, it's all part and parcel of showbiz.

Not a fan of Seacrest. After weeks of waiting for Adam airplay in LA
with 'FYE' previously, I lost respect for the guy. He continuous played the same old stuff and not a mere mention of Adam's album.
Internationally Adam was already well played and yet in California not a sound. Very disappointing.
And what is it with Seacrest and the Bruno hair thesedays?

Anonymous said...

Cindy, you are too funny and it does look like Tom Brady. What a hoot!

@ AG
Thanks!!! Doesn't he?? Glad you see it, couldn't resist adding a bit of light fun. Some of the crap on some of these threads lately, jeeesh...

Thrilled that Adam filled the conncert venue f/Kimmel... good thing it's outside or he would have blown the roof off the place =)
Keep appearing live Adam, wowing them all and winning everyone over to what a spectacular singer/performer you are... radio & prime time wi eventually have to acknowledge the buzz
