Anon 9:28 I rather like those pants too. I am sad about the lace ups now torn. I have been wondering if they will go out for repairs and be ready for the last show tomorrow. I'll volunteer to repair them! But then I will need him to try them on and let me make sure they are just the right fit haha!

Those were the famous pants so many of us volunteered to help Adam with during the GNT!! I would pay to have those pants if they were being put to rest but I would keep that rip just as it is haha!

I've read that Nigel is fearful for his job as well and that was why he knew nothing about talks with Adam.

First they wanted a new fresh younger judges. Jerry lewis- are they kidding and charlie sheen, what in the world does he know about singing? Mariah carey's a good choice, her hubby does a realty show also- so they can compete with each other for ratings lol. Please make this happen for adam!!!

Whatever the case may be, we now know there is one very available seat in the judges row for Season 12 and as reported earlier in the week by E! News, season eight runner-up Adam Lambert has been in talks for over a month to join the Idol team.

Lambert issued a that-was-news-to-me statement, not wanting to repeat the whole joining Queen fiasco.

Adam's name is right alongside some huge heavyhitters in the industry.

So far among all the artists named for the AI panel of judges, Adam is the most hopeful new, fresh blood who will be able to give a new lease of life to the show. Young, handsome, vivacious, with strategies, innovations, to steer the AI ship onto a fresh, more dynamic course. Moreover, his uncanny talent to revive, recycle old songs to come up with something almost entirely new yet retaining the very essence of the old classics, is exactly what the show requires the contestants to do; and in this area Adam's expertise definitely applies. He's a pro at this as shown once again at the recent Queen stint; to the extent of owning a few Queen songs. So much so, I've called him a music recyclist. And not forgetting his stage presentations, articulation and critiques exhibited in his AI mentoring. :)

• Sources confirm to E! News that Mariah Carey, who is managed by Jackson, is in talks to join the show. So is Cyrus, who has also been talking to X Factor UK and X Factor Australia. One source insists Lambert is off the list, but another says he remains a top choice.

I think Charlie Sheen and Jerry Lewis was just a joke. Jerry Lewis is a sick old man..love him, because of his years of dedication to Muscular Dystrophy foundation. Charlie Sheen is a time bomb ready to explode, so I am thinking they wouldn't do that to the show.

I'm so overwhelmed with joy at all these rave reviews of Adam's performance with Queen...I think this collab. really brought out the best in Adam. I've never seen him happier on stage (well maybe a couple of times during the GNTs) but the caliber of these rock legends backing him is just what he needs because Adam is that good. So glad the UK is embracing him now.

As far as the AI judging, if Adam wants it then I hope it happens for him. I think he would be incredible as a judge with his charisma, intelligence, experience on the show including mentoring, honesty yet with tact, creativity and lord knows he's so easy on the eyes!

I would love to watch Adam every week on AI, but if Miley Cyrus is on there too, I don't know if I could listen and watch her every week, my gosh she is annoying. But if Adam is on there too, I would have to tune her out..

Did I hear Olympics...the solar flare is surging fast forward, no stopping. Hey his voice is very powerful in stadium acoustics; I love to hear Adam's stadium opera voice, it soars into the heavens. :)

AI JUDGE ADAM LAMBERT... charming, very smart ,witty , has great rapport with Ryan (would love to see those exchanges) knows music and the industry. Could give real encouragement but is def not afraid to voice a neg opinion if necessary. Gorgeous face and voice for TV Just what's needed to breathe new life in the show !
