From QUEEN Fans:

CJMcFlurry: Queen and Adam just completely blew my mind it was an extravaganza of sound and light and rock ‘n roll of Queen at their best. An unrepeatable experience that I never dreamed that I would ever be privileged to be part of. Adam Lambert far superseded my expectations, Brian May played as I have never heard him before, he was incredible! Roger and Rufus Taylor were incredible on the drums! It wasn’t just musically mind blowing but it was a real visual extravaganza too.”

CJ73: Adam Lambert stepped into iconic shoes and held his own, taking Queens music to a new generation.

chrisjinxy: As a die-hard Queen Fan for 30 years I was sceptical if this would work, However within the first 5 minutes all doubts had disappeared as Adam has an amazing voice and a theatrical presence that nearly rivals Freddie’s.

jamash: I’ve been to some really good concerts, but never experienced anything quite like this.

Queen are legends and it was an honour to witness them perform live. I loved Freddie and he will never be replaced, but Adam Lambert was incredible at this event – his voice is second to none and he had the charisma to pull this off. He was born to do this and I hope and pray there will be more collaborations with Queen as they worked perfectly together.

Shingingilly: I was doubtful about Adam Lambert trying to be Freddie Mrecury (whom I saw perform in the 80′s) but he was superb – a real showman and a great vocalist who paid the proper respect to the memory of Freddie.

Sean1810: I was apprehensive about Adam Lambert. Paul Rodgers was great but he is an old fashioned rocker, Lambert is not. However, I was left feeling ‘Wow, this boy can sing’. He is no Freddie Mercury (who is?) but he was terrific none the less. From start to finish the whole audience was rocking.

Herts61: I can see this show filling stadiums in America, and possibly Japan, and have a feeling that this is not the last we have heard of this combination.

Mitsy998392: Lambert gives a new energy to music that is simply too good not to be played live.

Chris Jardine wrote: ….Before I went I was almost prepared to be not quite so thrilled with the performance, simply because Freddie wouldn’t be there. But, not at all as Adam gave the songs everything they deserved in his own unique way that just made it Queen performing at their very best. We all wish that Freddie was still with us, but I do hope that Adam Lambert stays with you and that you do more live concerts with him as the new singer for Queen, and that Queen lives on

A better translation of the Russian interview of Dr. Brian May:

Culture: You recently traveled to Russia with concerts, which had as a frontman Adam Lambert. Do you plan to undertake this large-scale tour with his participation?

May: I do not exclude such a possibility. This guy is great. Adam is full of energy, he’s a brilliant professional. He has an amazing voice, and with very few comparable people in the contemporary scene. He has an enormous range, but he also expresses the notes beautifully. At rehearsals, I was sometimes overwhelmed with emotion. When I first heard him perform Who Wants To Live Forever, I was literally stunned, I was just not internally ready for such an amazing interpretation of the song. I get great pleasure from the co-operation with Adam.

Culture: And why did your co-operation begin with Adam? How and why did you choose it?

May: I think some things in this world are predetermined, prescribed by fate itself. Once Adam came on the scene in the show American Idol, our drummer Roger Taylor began receiving calls and sms-messages along the lines of: “You should pay attention to this guy! He’s great! He is like Freddie! He was the only person who can do his songs,” and everything like that. Of course, we were intrigued. And then the organizers of the TV show called and ask if we would want to play with the two finalists. During this mini-set, we found that Adam is really phenomenal. Then at the MTV Awards ceremony in Belfast, we along with Adam played The Show Must Go On, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions – and he was again incomparable. Therefore, when shortly after the above ceremony, the Russian promoters came to us with a proposal to speak about our coming to your country with Adam Lambert in your country…

Culture: What music do you listen to while driving?

May: Yes, what you want, depending on your mood, from Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff to the Foo Fighters and the new album of the same Adam Lambert – I am absolutely omnivorous…

We have had a wonderful life – beyond the most daring and desperate dreams. And I do not get tired, every day I’m thankful.

I was never a Queen fan; didn't really notice them that much, not even at the AI finale; was beginning to, at the EMA; simply because my attention was totally on Adam when he performed with them. But these Queen+Adam concerts suddenly awakened me to Queen, because of the sheer multitudes that flocked to see them in concerts, like 250,000 and 40,000 etc. That really nudged me, as to how commanding they are; and so paid closer attention to their music. They are perfectionists with a lot of flair and humility too because they have gone through much. I also think Adam might have notched up their inspiration to some extent. I've seen some of their previous Freddie tribute shows on videos, nothing like this kind of emotion and spectacle. Well, I saw Brian, moved to tears in one of the videos. Adam does possess this inexplicable aura which he himself may not even be aware of and that's why he is always quite surprised by his fans' overwhelmed reactions to him but he appreciates and feels gratified. Oh forgot about high school Adam in the picture...very handsome already. :)

I've always been a Queen fan, their music is classic and fabulous..Its interesting that all these years later, we are seeing Adam Lambert joining them and doing such an awesome job...And re-energizing the band. The Ticketmaster reviews from Queen fans, especially the ones who were skeptical of Adam at first, are just so wonderful to read. WE knew he'd fit right in and just pretty much blow them away with his vocals, with his swagger, with his humility, with his stage presence..and as we all feel when in his presence live, his aura of love and light..Reading the Brian May interview was just the final icing on the cake. So happy for Adam, for Brian, for Roger..and for us..The Universe is working its magic once again.

I was never into loud, metallic rock music so when Adam sang with Queen, I thought the sound was somewhat unique and Brian's guitar is alluring, especially at the intro of I Want To Break Free. He sort of twirls his guitar strings to produce an alluring sexy guitar vibrato...very nice. Roger too got my attention. I still like Adam's band, may or may not be as good as Queen but well-tailored to complement Adam's voice. But after seeing what Queen did with Adam...well let's wait and see. But knowing Adam, he works wonders even with lesser props. :)

It seems everyone is so blown away with the Adam Queen shows that Trespassing needs a super boost right now to get it on airplay track. Can't believe tickets are still going for OC either and yet people say they'd buy Queen ones.
Go figure. If you love Adam you'll support him to the max!

JAK here.....We all agree that Roger, Brian and Adam were great in the concerts, how about a kind word for the keyboardist and that fabulous bass player? Whooo...... Dragon Attack was perfect! Roger and Brian know how to put together a band. After all, years ago they were the ones who chose Freddie!

JAK again.....now, the photo...
whenever I see these early Adam photos my first thought is "sweet faced Huckleberry Finn".

I suspect those who can do both, will do so. Many fans I know personally went to Queen shows and are going to Costa Mesa, Fantasy Springs, etc...also....There's no halfway with Adam...We as a fandom support him pretty well. I suspect that the general public has lost track of Adam so perhaps why the shows aren't completely sold out.....I'm leaving later today for SoCal: Wouldn't miss it..But I am also hoping for a Queen-Adam Lambert concert to go to also.......The more Adam, the better!!

He was truly adorable and cute back then,on his way to his present perfection....drooooling...;)
Wonderful interview of Brian May.I've been listening Queen's music all my life. Not sure why I never went to a Queen concert with Freddie,he has a special place in my heart because of the song he wrote dedicated to my hometown, Barcelona, and the amazing performance he made with Montserrat Caballe, the first time I saw them singing on tv I cried a lot...it was sublime...
I like the solo guitars but NOTHING compare to heard Brian May live! WOW!! I could hear him for hours!!and now he loves Adam!;)
Imagine, if a Rock Star legent got "overwhelmed with emotion/literally stonned and not internally ready for such an amazing interpreattion of "Who wants to live forever", then, simple humans like myself, how we are supposed to react!?? Well, as I did...with tears of deep emotion in my eyes.......
and there we go again...;)))

@Lam-my
I'm sooo glad you had descover Queen music.ENJOY!!
Is also the other way around, all the Queen fans that had discover Adam! That co.operation is great for bouth of them!!
Me...still in heaven....:D

Whoa! You are back on planet Earth! Yea, pretty impressed by Queen; come to think of it, I might have missed one whole era of rough psychedelic rock Queen music original. Thank goodness, here comes Adam the recyclist/revitaliser/resurrector...3Rs, to bring it back to me! Very very much looking forward to the DVD. Hey SG, not that I want to remind you of that horrible ordeal, do you know all it takes is one injection by a doctor and it should stop within 5 minutes of the injection. My aged Mom had this problem a couple of months ago and after the injection, she could take biscuits and tea without throwing up in the next half hour. It would shorten the suffering time and you could have got on the plane earlier instead of dragging it out. Thank goodness, you're back on track and ready to rock&roll again! :)

Listen to Kickin In, might soothe you a little or Shady. lol! Hey Adam's music can cause serious throw-ups lol! but also has healing effects. He breaks but repairs too! lol! :)

I think I recommended the wrong songs to medicate you; these may keep you remaining high. Try Outlaws of Love, Underneath, Runnin, Nirvana...lol! Hey even talking to you, gets me a little high, it's a chain effect. lol! :)

Actually Adam's tenor is very rich; he should have sung one more song in this tenor voice. Okay since this song still won't bring your high down, then how about Time For Miracles...lol! :)
