I can't watch vimeo vids on my laptop, can get sound but no pic...anyone know what I'm doing wrong???

Yes very good...Adam is gently eased into the regular Glee camaraderie; I like Adam's acting on Glee a lot! He doesn't stand out too much even though he definitely is as good as the regulars. Glee director knows exactly what he's doing as not to stir up any plausible animosity among diehard Gleeks. This way Adam immerses into the Glee psyche more naturally. The only thing that I felt not so Adamish is the, In The Groove performance because it's not Adam's style at all; lol! he would have turned that joint upside-down. lol! But excellent start for Adam and Glee regulars. Kurt/Chris did really well and Lea's high notes, super. Now Glee needs to start building up a crescendo, less of this plodding along; though they say slow and steady wins the race. lol! A little more wham bam drama. You've Adam in your hands...he's drama king at your doorstep ready to explode. lol! I believe episode 9 ain't so benign; fanciful tango ushers in, with firecrackers hanging from the 9th floor. lol! By the way, Blaine used a favourite word of mine, I've used here...laissez-faire. lwl!

HK fan,

are you using a tablet?? i think it works if you are on a PC.

I'm too long in the tooth for shows like Glee but I'll watch anything and everything Adam is in. <3

10:32, try a different browser? Is everything up to date?

Love this edit. Saves me time fast forwarding through the scenes. ;) Adam is doing a great acting job. He looks so handsome, moves so well, and is in sync with the cast. He has never looked better. And so happy this Glee stint is opening doors for him in the movies and other modes of entertainment. He is getting everything he deserves.

Anonymous said...

He was fine but he doesn't stand out. You can't really hear his voice in either song. He had a verse in the fox song but it was cut from the show. The idea that anyone would look at his couple of throw away lines and think he is some great actor is just dumb. Use some common sense

Anonymous said...

It's for the good that he doesn't stand out when in an ensemble, but just blend in.
When it's his solo act, then he can give his fierce performer persona and out of this world vocals.
Adam always knows when to pull back and be a team player.

Anonymous said...

I loved the Into the Groove sequence. Adam is a darn good actor so far. This Glee gig is a lot of fun and Adam is learning from it. He looks so adorable in his scenes.Last nights program wasn't bad at all. I think Jane is a good actress too.

Adam's character is perfect and later the friction will begin between Kurt and him!!!:)

The story for him is fine!!!:)

I am not using a tablet..it is an HP laptop, and I'm using chrome...'I used to use IE and couldn't get anything, but on chrome I can get the sound...so a slight improvement!

Adam's acting was really good. The pics collage don't give the right impression, lol. Adam looked a bit odd one out in the band scene because he was the only one in the band who was wearing a jacket.

HK fan, I'm using HP laptop and IE browser at the moment and I could watch it..

Agree. It's not a show where Adam has the major role. He's part of a team, both acting & singing & from a couple of lines he says, it doesn't indicate whether or not he's a great actor. Hopefully, he'll have a big role in a movie at some stage down the track. His acting in the video clips Better Than I Know Myself and Time For Miracles indicates that he will be a wonderful actor.

Anonymous said...

To get a major role he would have to take acting lessons. I doubt anyone gets a major role just like that.

Anonymous said...

Did Jennifer Hudson take acting lessons before she landed roles in movies? It's not impossible to gain a role in a movie without undertaking acting lessons or studying acting at an theatre academy but it doesn't happen often.

"he has never looked better"
With all due respect (even though Adam always looks good) I beg to differ: He has looked a lot better and will again look a lot better (than this Glee straight jacket - pun intended, sp intentional - allows him to...)

But I'm always happy to see Adam's lovely face!
:))))

Remember Adam is acting. He's playing the role of Elliott and therefore he's going to sing, act, dance, etc. like the character. Starchild was told to tame it down and that's what Elliott did. I don't think Adam is going to wear tight black leather pants in this role. Adam is doing great acting!
And, he still sings great and is adorable as all get out!.nancdruuu2

I am so enjoying Adam on Glee as Elliott Gilbert aka Starchild.

Anonymous said...

Adam will never 'blend in'. He stands alone even amongst the Glee moment of acting out Starchild.

Anonymous said...

Glee is a great stepping stone
towards career direction for Adam.
He can do it all there's no doubt about that and he works so darn hard with endless passion. (Even when it comes to wearing that off colored suit ensemble which obviously is Elliot's moment!)

Anonymous said...

I'd like to see Adam in a much "meatier" role but all in good time.

Anonymous said...

Personally I'd like to see Adam roll in glitter but if this is the path to open eyes to the greatness of Adam Lambert then fantastic! His a genius no matter what.

Anonymous said...

Adam was a natural. He can act, sing, and dance on Glee. He did a great job last night.

Anonymous said...

Waiting patiently for frenemies episode.i guess the darkness song will bring starchild into the game.Last few days justin tweeted that he happy if adam sing his song.unfortunately adam hv to keep his mouth shut.

I wish they would give him a decent story line. Don't see enough.of him. I'm in south Florida right now and just knowing he could be too makes me happy. So wish I could.see him this weekend but I have to return home to PA.

I loved seeing Adam in this episode. Even though In the Groove is not his style of music, Adam performed it well as Elliott dressed as that character. Remember this is an ensemble cast, and he is in a guest role and so the focus will not be on his character(even though we would like it to be). Adam seemed to be smiling throughout the song and having a good time. It's just the beginning for him. We know he's an amazing singer, but the acting will develop with better roles in the future.

Anonymous said...

@ 5:43- I guess I agree that Adam will never "blend in" as part of the ensemble cast on Glee. It's not intentional, but he is just so unique, special in his looks and persona, that I find it difficult to see him as Elliott. He does stand alone as a performer. It takes nothing away from his "band" mates because they are all good, but Adam is Adam and maybe it's just me that I can't separate him from the character. However, I still look forward to watching him on Glee because it is still another opportunity to see him perform.

Anonymous said...

What little i saw of Adam was great, but Glee itself has really declined since its inception. It is all over the place with not much continuity and the whole high school thing has totally jumped the shark. Personally, I think they should have just moved the whole setting to NY and left the high school behind for good.

Anonymous said...

I'm not a Gleek but I'm watching the episodes Adam is in.

Anonymous said...

Anon at 3:57 am . . . your kidding about acting lessons . . . right . . . you know Adam has been in theater since 10 yrs old.

Adam is blending in well . . . but I so miss his voice . . live.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know the numbers when Adam is on vs. when he is not???

Anonymous said...

I will watch anything with Adam in it..even Glee,,agree with @7:00,,,Adam can do anything perfectly

Anonymous said...

Adam will never "blend in." He has way too much presence. He's playing the part of Elliott, not himself, so he has to be part of the group without overpowering it. I wish there'd be at least one more episode with Adam before the planned third one. It's just too long a time to wait! I think Adam comes off as a pretty good natural actor. He is not fake or forced. He does not look amateurish. Those years onstage since he was a kid have paid off. Anyone can use acting lessons, and if a big opportunity comes up, maybe he'll do that. I think the night of Adam's first episode was pretty low in the ratings. It had come off the heels of the episode about the other character, which got bigger ratings. I'll bet last night's show wasn't really high either, due to it being Thanksgiving night. But we'll see.

Hope Adams gets more acting offers in some good quality productions or shows. He's showing that he can do it as well as anyone else.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

@7:26 AM Don't know about Adam but start looking for news in Feb.
Glee Season 5 to Return February: Switching to Tuesdays — Breaking News!
link
http://www.wetpaint.com/glee/articles/2013-11-21-return-february-switching-tuesday-8

There’s just been a huge scheduling switch up for Glee Season 5. Huge. We’re talking changes to the return date, air time, day of week...everything. After December 5’s Christmas episode, Glee will only be off the air until Tuesday, February 25. You read that right: The show is switching back from Thursday to Tuesday nights, and it will once again air at 8 p.m.

Did you catch all that? Because it’s a lot different from what we were expecting. Fox’s original plan, announced back in May, was to have Glee on a break throughout the entire mid-season. The new drama Rake would take over its timeslot, and Glee wouldn’t return with Season 5, Episode 9 until sometime spring 2014, likely mid-April.

We were already super depressed at the thought of going without Glee for so long. With this new schedule, we only have to wait about 2 1/2 months instead of 4 1/2.

Glee used to air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., but made the switch to Thursdays at 9 p.m. at the start of Season 4. Ratings for the show have fallen in those years, so it’s very possible that Fox is hoping that a return to the earlier day and hour might just bring back some of those missing viewers.

Fox’s press release says we can expect “all-new episodes for the remainder of the season,” which certainly sounds like there will be no more hiatuses for Episodes 8-22.

Thatks anon 8:49. Well last nights numbers were a dismal 2.8 million due to football. It affected Gaga's special too. Did anyone see that? She sang with Rupaul near the end!

On a bright note pictures of Adam's stage are coming through on twitter! Adam will be on the lawn with the beach in front of him!

Anonymous said...

Adam looks good but somehow out of place, ie. he is a bit too old to be in this kind of teenage show. In my opinion.

I hope he will land a more mature role in the future.

Anonymous said...

Adam was terrific in his role. He looked and acted very comfortable and natural as Elliot.

Anonymous said...

LOL. Lea and Naya are just two or three years younger than Adam. Adam has a mature role on the show which is aimed at families.

Anonymous said...

I watched the show with my son who is 21 years old and my husband and their thoughts were that Glee is a silly show and that Adam is wasting his talent. They feel he should be focused on new music and that he should be on radio and on stage and that he has one of the greatest voices in the industry. Then my husband asked who is his agent because they are not doing a good job. I somewhat agree and wonder why is there no urgency it's seems to release a single to at least have radio presence and it is rather surprising that we have yet to hear of any new record label signing. I think Adam is just settling with anything that is actually being offered.

Anonymous said...

@10:26 AM I HATE that you need to post a comment like you did. It can only hurt Adam. Go fund Adam and pay the way for your ideas or shut up.

Anonymous said...

Naya is 26 yr and Lea is 27yr. I agree Adam´s role is a mature one.

Anonymous said...

Reading most of these comments , it's pretty depressing.
Try, just try to be positive. Adam is not supposed to stand out, he's not the star, he's a new member of the band. I'm relieved he's fitting in. That's what he's trying to do. He is acting and I'm surprised but he's quite good.
The Starchild character was the introduction of an over achiever, he did a good job. He was great but looked goofy, so realizing what Kurt wanted he changed his act.

His outfit was Kurt's fantasy, it was Kurt starring in his own fantasy backed by the band. So far, so good.

Adam is working, on TV, yea for that. He had one spectacular number, now he's just a cast member.
Accept it. He hopefully will be around for a few more episodes. We wanted him to be seen as an actor he is being seen.

He is not going to abandon music for the screen, whether the small screen or movie size. He is living his life, quit pushing what you want onto him. He will do what he wants.

@10:26 AM I bet you and your family slept peacfully in the glow of your judgement call. You're no better and just as useless as a troll or hater commenter.

Anonymous said...

I think Adam did the best he could do
with the given character, and I really enjoyed it. Starchild was a surprising spice to the story. And the best part is Adam seems to really enjoy it himself. I´m happy with that.:))

I'm new to Glee. I like the moral points they are making with all story lines. My granddaughters (age 11 and 14) and daughter watched it for the 2nd time. The 14 year old made an unequivocal announcement that she really likes the show and her sister agreed. After it was over, my daughter replayed all the parts that involved Adam, just for me. Thanks to Adam we all tuned into a show we can enjoy as family. I love and appreciate all facets of Adam. Now I'm looking forward to his rockin' concert in Miami tomorrow. YAY!

Anonymous said...

His chance at being played on radio has come and gone. He isn't a hot new artist that any label is going to invest big money in.

I'm sure he is happy to get whatever he can at his point. His best chance to showcase his voice would be theater, but I think he'd rather be a d list hollywood celeb than a working theater actor.

Anonymous said...

My 5 and 7 yrs old daugthers loved the show last night. They know who Adam is by watching the puppet elliot. This is great opportunity for Adam to gain more fans from Glee. We knew he can sing, but now we also know that he can act.

Anonymous said...

Yes, poor poor has-been Adam, grateful for the crumbs tossed his way. Perhaps a job as a singing waiter is in his future. If he's lucky.

@ 11:27. Are you always this cheery? A regular ray of sunshine. Do your friends avoid you? Do you have friends? Are they depressing as well? I think maybe you are taking too many Valium ...... switch to Red Bull.
Drink lots of coffee with caffeine . Attempt a smile. Go on, it will be good for you. And us.

11:05, you make far too much sense to be on this site ;)

10:26 was just sharing her family's opinion after watching Adam on Glee. It's obvious to me from the comments they made that they believe in Adam's talent and want the best for his future. Don't we all?? I love Adam to death, and it's an adjustment accepting him in the Elliot role. I think he's doing a great job, but it feels like he's trying to hold back some of his larger-than-life personality a bit to be part of the ensemble. And honestly, if he didn't, the rest of the cast would probably resent him instead of welcoming him. On a positive note, I think this Glee role is great exposure for him and could be the stepping stone to other projects. I also believe he'll release his 3rd album in 2014....he said on the Ellen Show recently that he was in talks with a couple different record labels, if I remember correctly.

Anonymous said...

Who knows if Adam's time on the radio has come and gone. I guess with the release of a third album and its first single, we will know. Appearing on Glee was one opportunity for Adam to do something a bit different withthe Elliott character. So it's not Shakespeare, but it is a start for him in trying a role in a tv series. He's part of an ensemble cast and at least we get to see him perform. WE all want the best for Adam in his career and if he has to do a small role in a tv series, it's a start. Yes, he seems to be in limbo right now with the recording aspect of his career, but hopefully that will change in 2014 with the release of his next album. He's just too great a vocal talent in the music world of lip synching, auto-tuned performers to let slip through into random shows and performances of little recognition and acceptance.

Anonymous said...

PLEASE,
Do not fall for the resident evil @11:27!

Anonymous said...

If Glee is going to be on at 8pm on Tuesday nights opposite NCIS(the most popular show on tv), well, that is the death knell for the show. And even Adam's appearances on it won't help. I enjoy seeing him on the show even if it is only for a few minutes, and he seems to be having fun as part of the cast. Maybe this performance will open the door for other opportunities for Adam in "meatier" roles or something more suited for his age and maturity level.

People, just relax and enjoy the crazy train adventure with Adam. Stay positive and support Adam no matter what. All he wants is to entertain people.

Rock-a-doodle-do

No hurry, no scurry, nor undue worry
Adam is working his way up
And that's the beauty
Difficult things pose a challenge
Adam doesn't get things served on a silver spoon
Don't go proclaiming gloom and doom, so soon
His innate strife for perfection
Will pay off in leaps and bounds
No necessity for a premature alarm to sound
My good ole crystal-ball beeps, keep calm
His climb up the corporate ladder
As well as his God-given talents
Have their clawed-feet perched to pounce
At any viable opportunity that presents itself
So stay! if you want a piece of the action
And rock-a-doodle-do to the constant negative predictions lwl!

I agree Adam seems a bit old for Glee but at least he's got a foot in the television door and hopefully. really good acting opportunities will come his way as result of being in Glee.

Great to read all your comments and a poem as well !! As a Gleek and Glambert, I feel I am still in heaven to see my two most favorite artists interact with each other in a TV serie.. (Chris Colfer/Kurt and Adam Lambert/Elliott)...

It is just mindless entertainment... but I do agree with one of the previous posters that there will be a major shift to Tuesday AND the fact that Glee will be shown ONE HOUR EARLIER... so the audience will be most probably younger... Axel.
