So LMD was officially released April 21st? Just in Greece or ??

Anonymous said...

I don't care unless it's about USA LMD!

Fabulous article....more global exposure for our RockGod!!!

No wonder people around the world hate us, what with the attitude of 11:47. Such nationalistic crap. Positive global exposure is awesome.

Yeah Glamberts have a pretty bad reputation.

I wasn't aware of this. Maybe they will have more tickets available later. There is a waitlist button.

@IfOnly
@adamlambert @QueenWillRock Thanks for your great support of the @SoCal_RedCross @RedCrossLA & @RedCross! You rock! bit.ly/1nETYiS

Byron is cute and funny again flailing over Adam's neon Smoking pic. Give it some hits.

That voting crap is a waste of time. He's won them before and gotten absolutely nothing. Just a great way for fans to waste ther time giving the radio stations hits and not getting anything in return. What a sham!

VEVO posted snippet of Adam's IIHY video on its IG page:

vevomusic_offical:
Adam Lambert 'If I Had You' *Watch it NOW on #vevo * #adamlambert #ifihadyou

Give it tons of view hits.

12:58, in this case I think it is worth it. Seacrest is in negotiations with Clear Channel to increase his role with them. Seacrest already loves Adam. It is great to show continued interest in Adam to Seacrest and CC.

Anonymous said...

LMD is playing in Australia, France and Greece. Hope it is worldwide.

Anonymous said...

The global exposure of LMD is incredibly good for Adam. The world is a big place outside the U.S. The more attention thatsong gets, the better, regardless of which countries it is. Positive support is what we fans can do. I'm going to vote on the AI poll now, worthless or not.

@1:15 very good point and I agree totally. Keep showing Seacrest we love him and Adam!!! I've been voting approx. every 12 hrs which is the max you can vote.

Gotta find out what's this about the Red Cross LA?

@12:03
Thank you for your excellent post, was gonna say something along the same lines.
"Positive global exposure is awesome." This should be our common global slogan for spreading everything Adam-liscious!!!

I was going over my tweet feed for the day and Shosh tweeted that the c'mon in LMD is sung by Adam with a Geordie accent. Just an interesting FYI.

Anonymous said...

You guys are wasting your time. Fact of the matter is LMD isn't that good of a song. I doubt it gets any traction or very many spins at all.

4:34, Spoken like a true fan.

Love LMD! So happy it is being heard around the world. Great exposure for our international rock star! Way to go Adam.

Anonymous said...

4:34, Even if so, in the remotest of possibilities, we're having a ball bouncing to LMD with Adam. How's it going for you under the bridge?

Anonymous said...

3:50 yup I just listened to LMD with headphones and he does sing C'mon a different way like c'moon!. Very interesting.

Anonymous said...

@4:34 PM You're attitude has no traction.

Anonymous said...

@4:55 PM Good response! (high five)

Anonymous said...

Fuck You! release in the USA already! WTF!

Anonymous said...

Didn't they release LMD yesterday? Did anybody heard about # on OZ charts?

Anonymous said...

They are releasing Addicted to You this month in the US not LMD.

Anonymous said...

7:10 no surprise there I hope the Lipton Ice Tea commercial gets to air here in the US someday, very grateful for all the places that have it tho.

Anonymous said...

7:10, where was that info announced? Addicted To You is officially the next single in the U.S. from True?

Anonymous said...

Announced by moderators on pulse music board. They have the source. No surprise since it was the fourth single.

Anonymous said...

The only poll that I am voting on right now is the Ryan Seacrest one. Here's the link: onair.rs/1nk6hDQ

It's not a lot of effort to vote twice a day and send out a tweet simultaneously if we'll keep Adam (and us) in Ryan's favor this way.

I'm so happy for Adam and Nile! Great exposure for them! LMD is wonderful and should be a super hit!
Come on!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nancdruuu2

To ALL Negative Nick's and Negative Nellie's posting on this thread; I have a very serious question for you, "who told you that you were allowed to rain on
ADAM LAMBERT'S FABULOUS PARADE"??

Anonymous said...

There's so much more to the world than the U.S. of A.

Anonymous said...

I read that LMD is being played in Italy too.

Anonymous said...

11:47 AM
why ? cause USA is the top of the universe ? give me a break .

Anonymous said...

The U.S.is still the most important market to hit.

Anonymous said...

I've just listened (several times) to a version of LMD that is longer than I've previously heard and FABULUSH .....

http://www.ontheradio.za.net/avicii-lay-me-down-feat-adam-lambert/

Does anyone from around the world know if this is the version that's been released to radio?

glitzylady said...

@Anon 5:54 AM
The version you've been listening to via the "On The Radio" blog is the actual full version from Avicii's "TRUE" CD.

Seems that the radio play version (the one I've heard, for instance in Australia) is shorter... and leaves out the intro.. But perhaps it will vary from country to country???

Anonymous said...

Dance music doesn't sell in the US. Disco demolition night ruined all the fun.

Anonymous said...

I mean people in the US may be afraid to like disco music. Unless it has banjos in it..

Anonymous said...

5:20 AM
the US market is consists of Katy Berry , country music and rap , it's not the most important market for EDM or rock music imo.

Anonymous said...

Thanks glitzylady.

Yes, the radio version I've heard in Australia is shorter and not as good which is a shame. I wonder why they've shortened it. Maybe 5 mins is too long to devote to 1 song on the radio??

glitzylady said...

Oh come on. The US isn't all about "banjo music" :)))

There is a whole lot of pop music and dance music on the radio here.. on the Top 40 stations and elsewhere. We aren't ALL into country music.. at least the heavy duty stuff...(although I have to admit I like some music that might be labeled "country", including (I suppose...) Wake Me Up, and Hey Brother on Avicii's album.

I'm seriously hoping Lay Me Down is released as a single here in the US, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Anonymous said...

Not a country fan at all & never ever listen to it but I know it's huge in the US & very popular on American Idol.

Anonymous said...

Tweet from Byron Cooke (Oz) says LMD is one of his three top songs & he was going to play it in the next hour (14 hours ago). Love U, Byron!!! :-D

Anonymous said...

GO the Greeks!!!!!!! :-)

Anonymous said...

I was the one who posted at 5:20. Somehow forgot to sign. I am thrilled that LMD is going strong in so many countries. But I do think that the U.S. market is extremely important. When 7:10 posted that Addicted To You would be the next U.S. True single, I was really taken by surprise, considering that LMD is popping up so well all over the world. So, this must mean that LMD will not be a U.S. single, unless Avicii releases it here AFTER ATU has run its course. Wonder if that will happen now. Hope springs eternal, as the saying goes, and I hope LMD continues to do well throughout the summer in all those countries who are playing it.

I am not and never have been a country music fan. Every now and then, an individual song will sound good to me, but as a genre, country doesn't interest me. It is a HUGE genre in the U.S., of course, with awards show on TV about every three weeks. LOL. People like what they like, and that's fine. Country music welcomes new talent into their fold pretty readily, too. Unlike pop, which I think is far more cutthroat. It's a tough business.

Gonna go give LMD a couple more spins.

Wonder why the Addicted To You news isn't on AO?

Anonymous said...

I wonder why it took so long for LMD to be released as a single. If not the first single released off the True album, at least single #2 would've been great. I hope people will buy LMD but I guess many people would've bought the album by now. I guess ours is not to wonder why and we'll need to be patient and see what happens.

glitzylady said...

The thing about country music in the US, to be honest, is that it has largely taken over the rock genre. If you listen to country at all, it is sometimes very hard to distinguish between the two. I realized that when I tuned into one of the many country music award shows that @DRG mentioned in her post above. I also realized I kind of liked SOME of it.. (Yikes!!!).. For instance, I like Sugarland, The Band Perry, some individual performers, like Keith Urban (he plays a reallly mean guitar and he's cute..).. I am no fan of the twangy stuff (just not my thing, but I know there are many who do love it, and more power to you!!)

ANNNNNDDD..here's something that I noticed when Adam's Trespassing CD came out: One of the fandom's favorite (mine too...) bonus songs, "Runnin' " sounds suspiciously like it could do well on some country stations.. (I know, sacrilege and all that... :)) And as I understand it, it was written by a man who lives in Nashville, and writes country songs, at least in part.

So with that in mind, I was thinking what a shock it would have been to the country music fans of America, if Adam had released it as a single, it had done well, country stations had played it, and he'd shown up on one or more of those country award shows, to perhaps accept an award and perform... That would have been just plain awesome! Although we know that would probably never happen, and to be honest, Adam would probably have been the most shocked of all!!! Don't throw things at me, just imagining the possibilities, or more likely, the IMpossibilities....

:))))

Anonymous said...

Consider if "Lay Me Down" had been released early, Adam's fans would have rejoiced and been done with True. The way it's going now, Adam's fans are giving the album a steady stream of publicity they wouldn't have otherwise.

Anonymous said...

Lol. Adam doesn't have enough fans to make any difference in how well true has done.

Avicii is working hard in the studio. He will probably be releasing something brand new in the fall to promote a new album.

Anonymous said...

Glitzy, I love your scenario of Adam appearing on a country music awards show! Talk about an attraction of opposites, but so fun to imagine. I LOVE Runnin', too. It's a great song that never saw the light of day, like so many TP songs. I agree it does have a country music element to it. Country music lovers appreciate any song that includes "the whiskey goes down down down." You are totally right about mainstream country music really sounding a lot like pop. Hence, the success of country music to the masses. Actually, I like some of the old, pure country artists, like George Jones. They are not "cross-overs" and their voices are fantastic. Country music marketers are smart. They combine the country and pop sounds to create a genre that a huge audience finds fun to listen to. I think they would have loved Runnin'.

I think that the radio edit of LMD is an improvement. When I first played the original version I was very put off by Nile singing Lay Me over and over, then Adams voice very faintly came in. I thought the first half was a mess.
The edit cuts that off, which improves the song, but it still needed to be re recorded and cleaned up. It's a good song, but not a good recording.

Anonymous said...

8:33, then I guess we should all be grateful for the kind of success that LMD is having.

Anonymous said...

I called my local top 40 station just this morning about this very topic before I even saw this article. They said they don't have LMD scheduled to play as a single any time soon. They acted like they didn't even know what I was talking about. I miss the days when you could call a radio station, request something and see what everybody thinks. Now it's all about who pays the most to have their music spinning.

Agree with 8:47.

Anonymous said...

I am shocked LMD is being released anywhere after listening to these regular trolls on here for months mocking everything about it. Feels sooo goood. Loving the tea commercial too. How well it does in sales is any bodies guess.

Anonymous said...

Any scuttlebutt on Adam and Nile having a track on Avicii's second album?

Anonymous said...

Nile isn't singing on LMD!

Anonymous said...

Just saying . . . I didn't appreciate first time I listened to LMD because of the messed up sound production.
And have never tried to listen to it again.
I hope they have done a new recording of it for single release.

Anonymous said...

The album track is Nile's voice at the beginning, repeating and repeating.

glitzylady said...

Not Nile's voice.............anywhere.......on the recording..............
