Does anyone know why Queen is always late to start every show, anywhere from half hour to a whole hour. They can't have opening problems at every show. I don't understand this. It must be very annoying for the audience to have to wait so long for the curtain to go up.

Just seeing those monstrous trucks with Adam's name on it gives me chills all over again!

About the late start of the shows. From my observations in San Jose and LA, it takes forever to file all these people into the arena especially given the long lines for drinks and food prior to the show.

In other words, they don't open the doors early enough, to handle this. It is the fault of the venue itself.

@11:29 AM I don't know why you would care. NYOB

Venues are big in big cities with traffic. The LA Forum concert I went to, I got there at neck of time. A 20 mins drive, took me 1 1/2 to get there. Darn LA traffic!

We got notified in LA that the show would be starting at 8:15 and not 7:30 (ticket time). Maybe that notification isnt everywhere/everyone? . . . Adamluv

Yes, I was there for the L.A. Show and I called the Box Office in the afternoon to confirm the start time because for the San Jose show it did start quite late.

I totally agree with the L.A. traffic both getting in and out of these large venues creates huge problems. The lines for food, alcohol and merchandise were really slowing things down for these people needing to get to their seats.i guess we're all having our problems getting in but it sure is worth the wait!!!!

@12:28
Why are you so rude? It was a simple question, and nice people
answered it politely. I wasn't aware of the traffic problems, and I can understand now. Thank you, for giving me the info.
@12:28, put your thumb where the sun don't shine, for being so damn rude.

@11.29am

several good reasons have been given so far..I've read on several of the concerts that the doors didn't open till 30mins before the show was due to start, not enough time to get 12,000 plus people in and seated.
I think in at least 2 oe 3 of the concerts the start time has changed pre concert but not everyone got the notification...

But I would also like to add that I have been to many concerts here in HK, from Adam to Kylie, Scissor sisters to Westlife....and not once has one started on time. but to be honest, no one expects them to.....if the start time is 8 we wouldn't expect it to start much before 8.30 for a concert, often nearer 8.45.
Plays run a bit more to schedule...average only 10 mins late.
Probably the most on time concert I went to was Adams GNT show here, was only 20 mins late....worst I think was Muse and Justin Beiber who were both over an hour late.
I actually don't mind concerts running late, there is always something to see, or someone to talk to, it adds to the suspense...

I don't think I've ever been to a concert that didn't start at least a little late. Nature of the beast. Heard Biebs once kept an audience waiting for well over a hour or more, and for no reason that was ever explained properly.

Sir Paul McCartney is in my home town tonight Fargo, North Dakota. The Fargo Dome is sold out. I should of went. Paul is my favorite Beatle. Once in a life time concert. I should of gone, but the crowds of people and not getting a good seat. I'll probably kick myself and wish I would of gone. Sir Paul McCartney is getting up in years also. Just like Queen. So you should appreciate them as long as you can. Hope Adam is around a long time I love that young man, just like Sir Paul McCartney.

The shows I went to in Vancouver and Las Vegas started a little "late" (but not really), and I honestly don't think anyone cared all that much.. The lines at the merchandise tables before ..and after...the shows were long, the lines for drinks etc.. There were also bag/purse checks at the door for security purposes. All take time.. I suspect the venues, and the bands, don't want to discourage patrons from purchasing either merchandise or drinks etc.. Just being there is amazing!
