So Adam answers the chance of recording with Queen in that Entertainment Weekly interview. Not going to happen.

Too bad. I'm not liking the dance orientation of TOH.

Love the Dance orientation of TOH so so much. Love the modernity of this album, while also bringing in that 90's vibe Adam seems to, as he expresses himself, love so much. Quite a brilliant outcome, whether one personally digs it or not is what it is, that's the world of art in a nutshell.

Thanks for the way this thread is constructed, and the "live" links for the radio stations etc. Thanks to all the admins on this blog - Real Life has been crushing lately and it's helpful to this Adam fan to be able to at least breeze through 24/7 and get updated on the promo and such a little. Thx!

Adam is definitely getting great media coverage in all forms. Love seeing him the major print publications. I was disappointed too when he said there would probably not be new recordings with Queen. I' not surprised, though. The Queen canon is what it is. Adam's role in Queen is an achievement unto itself. He can be proud of that even without new recordings.

5:21 AM
'The world of art in a nutshell' is not dance. There are many genres of music that make up 'the world of art'. Dance music is just one of them. While I like dance music, it's certainly not the be all and end all of my taste in music. I personally prefer the type of songs Adam released on his previous albums, and while I think Adam's voice sounds wonderful on his new album, I feel the songs sell his immense talent short.

5:23, also crunched for time. Wish I knew of someplace with a concise list of links of articles, vids and voting for Adam.

Ugh, where did my comment go?

5:52 AM, I basically agreed with you and per Adam's latest interviews, this is the real him. What attracted me to Adam in the first place is almost gone.

I never in a million years thought Adam would do major recording with Queen . I was quite surprised when I found out about the Dr. bri collab
on Adam's TOH album. Niiiice !!!!!!

@6:04 AM
We'll see what happens with his next album (assuming there will be a next album).

5:52, your comment strikes me as just looking for a disagreement, or looking to validate your own personal feelings. Painting is producing a piece of art, composing music is producing a piece of art, creating incredible food is producing a piece of art to many, dancing is producing an artful product to many, sewing quilts is producing art, giving an amazing haircut is producing a piece of art to many, one performance on one night on stage at the MET is creating a piece of art, or creating a amazing costume, or makeup application for a runway show is producing what many would consider art, but whether or not any given person looking at that makeup job on that runway would like it is up for personal interpretation, and that outcome "is what it is" in a nutshell ... I won't bore you with going on and on, you're obviously closed off to digesting what is being posted, or perhaps butthurt that your own post was referenced ... but Adam (or any singer or musical artist or entertainer) produces pieces of art when he creates a single or an album or a music video. For someone to say "it is what it is", in terms of whether or not any person WILL LIKE or care for a certain form of art, or single or full album, when absorbing and digesting it, is a fair statement, as was made at 5:21, imo. The statement "whether one personally digs it or not is what it is, that's the world of art in a nutshell." is a statement that holds merit. Maybe if the statement had read "whether one personally digs it or not is what it is, that's the world of art CONSUMPTION in a nutshell" would have helped you... or probably not. But dude, whatever gets you to sleep at night.

10:22 here, and @5:52, maybe if the 5:21 statement "Quite a brilliant outcome" had included an IMO... you'd have been content, I get that perhaps a simple IMO could have been added there, although that is sort of implied when a comment is posted on a fansite I thought... and I'm not sure it would have made a difference to you anyway. You seemed a little aggressive and "I'm going to correct you" in your post right from the opening line, which wasn't necessary... because it wasn't being said that the world of music, as an art form, only included Dance music... so perhaps the statement at 5:21 wasn't clear enough to have you understand that, but neither was your comment 5:52 clear. Not trying to be passive aggressive with you, just sayin'.

Jeez, 10:22/10:31, what is your problem?

Anonymous said...

Dear 10:22....I have asked you again and again since you use the expression so very very often, just what does "butthurt" mean?

The first time I heard Ghost Town, I was so surprised. At first I though of all things, it was a country song. haha So wrong but his clear heartfelt words were moving. I know Adam is on an adventure which he enjoys but at times in his interviews, he sounds lonely and bemoans being single. It obvious he experienced so much adulation from Queens fans and his own but being by himself is not what he enjoys. I wish Adam the best in years to come and to find someone especial in his life. gini

Exactly. Think they like the sound of their own voice .... pontification indeed.

EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion, whether it agrees with the opinions of others or not.

Anon. 10:22AM/10:31AM

Get off your high horse. Furthermore, you obviously misconstrued what 5.52am was saying. He or she was giving their opinion period.

late to the party, thread probably dead, no dog in this fight really... but I don't think what 5:52 was saying was misconstrued at all. In fact, I think 5:52 did the original miscontruing... then was taken to task and didn't like being so.
