Adam Lambert Finally Feels Like a Grown-Ass Man

Adam Lambert photo by David Roemer and featured in the Details article

Intro:

"With his latest album, The Original High, in stores now, the American Idol star talks about his new sound, his new life, and the end of an era."

Excerpt: Read the rest of the interview at the link above

"DETAILS: I couldn't help but laugh when you referred to yourself as a "grown-ass man" in "There I Said It." "

"Adam Lambert: [Laughs] It's funny you say that: For the first time in my life, over the last year or two, I feel like I'm a f***ing grown-up! I definitely have a little dash of Peter Pan syndrome somewhere, where I always have a childlike attitude towards things. But I bought my first house this year, I have a business, I've done a lot for myself, and I've done a lot for my career. And all of a sudden, I'm realizing: "You know what? I'm a grown-ass man! I will not be talked to a certain way. I will not be treated a certain way." Having self-respect is part of that, too. And I've had my ups and downs with that my whole life."

Another really insightful interview. One of the many things that Adam does well is TALK. Interviewers sure don't have to worry about struggling to pull answers out of him. :)

@4:49, I was going to say the same thing, imo, don't want to tell any "grown ass person", lol, what to do, but it would be great if we could give these articles hits at their original sources (which is not throwing any shade to the way articles are excerpted here, love that! We just need to, imho, try to find a few minutes in our schedules to give the articles hits for sure! :))

On a more shallow note - Mutha Trucka that photo!!! That is one of my favs from this era so far... (and by one of my favs I mean - like one of my 100 or so top favorites, LOL!!)

This is a really good interview, so much better than the other one that was posted earlier.

Only take a second out of my time to open a link in another window.

As one of the admins here (and a very big fan of Adam Lambert as well) I really truly do hope that everyone takes the time to click on the embedded links that we always provide here on the blog when we post all of these interviews etc.. It's SO important to give those original sources the hits.. and also to read the entire interview, article, whatever it is.. Adam has done some excellent interviews lately and it would be a shame to miss any of them.. This one was good, and there are many others..

One that I particularly enjoyed was the "Queerty" magazine interview/article.. It was very in-depth and so insightful.. But there were only a few comments and a smaller number of views than many of the other threads we've posted in the past few days.. It remained on the main page for some time so I was just surprised to see that not as many had perhaps taken the time to read it in it's entirety..

We post a few one or two excerpts to give you a sneak peek at the article but with the hope that you'll be intrigued enough to go to the link and read it.. You don't want to miss a thing, especially those that give you a greater understanding of what Adam is all about these days..

A moment of respiro, enough to post my brief musings on Lucy. I've liked the song, Adam's vocals, Brian's accompaniment, its production the moment I've heard it, once, twice, thrice...several times. Yes, it is formulaic, yes, it is repetitive, they all are , that's the way the producers work and I'm not complaining. As long as there is a hook in them . And Lucy has 3, Adam's vocals, Brian's riffs, the production. And as long as through repetition the song does not become boring , and our Lucy is the most spectacular of them all, in my opinion.I feel, while listening to it , as a passenger in a roller coaster, mine has vertical loops, there is a moment when I'm standing suspended and suddenly I'm falling down the track. The song/Adam's vocals start slowly/softly, as if they are doing their warming, they start their aggressive climbing till they reach the climax when the human voice and the instrument become one and the same. Brian's riffs seem a natural extension of the human voice. I land and I'm dizzy. I know, the word has become common place, lost its significance in the way, but I think that now it describes exactly the proportions of this music accomplishment, EPIC.
I knew it would be grand ,and grand it is.The idea of listening to Adam accompanied by Brian playing a NEW song makes me ecstatic. And optimistic.
About the lyrics , only one sentence for now, our Lucy seems to me to be the niece of the Lucy from the sky of diamonds, a more "emancipated" Lucy ! lol

I do not need a lecture on what I should read with the implication I then also need to comment on it.

I also have no idea why an Admin would tell me they hope I would. An Admin is not the fandom police.

This is coming from the person who wrote the comment at 5:50 AM.

This thread is probably dead, but 5:50 and 7:38, there is a very varied group that participates in this blog. Many seem to be very interested in the tips and suggestions that might help Adam Lambert's current single, and beyond. I don't understand why you have to characterize anyone's post as a lecture. I have read many comments here by people who say thanks for a tip, a reminder, and even an in-depth clarification about how "hits" may benefit Adam's overall promo and importance of such action steps... geez, chill out.
