Adam Lambert Music 411

Some suggestions/reminders (including some do's and don'ts) of what we can do to help support and boost Adam Lambert's current single 'Ghost Town'

LINK To Straight Talk: What HELPS & What HURTS ‘Ghost Town’

1. Embrace the song – stream “Ghost Town” (it helps greatly with Billboard 100 chart that radio looks at) and praise it on social media. Adam wants and needs a radio hit; that will make everything easier and better – including whatever tour we might get. We can do this; let’s go!

LINK To Daily To-Do: Streaming (And Radio Station "Thumbs Up" Voting)

Streaming that counts: Spotify, Amazon Prime, Beats Music, Google Play, Medianet, Rdio, Rhapsody, Slacker & Xbox Music (per Billboard & Nielsen Soundscan). YouTube counts for “Ghost Town” and Billboard 100 Hot singles chart (but not Billboard 200). Pandora and online radio DO NOT count for either.

The fact that we need to stream this makes me angry. This song is extremely radio, friendly! They play Swift, Perry,Mars, etc, without anyone streaming because the teens buy the album. What happened to p,ain't good music because it's good. Bring back Payola if need be? Radio stations are already corrupt.

Don't bother. The song has failed. So sad Adam didn't get another hit like WWFM. Why did they choose GT as a single. IDG

I rather like Ghost Town but My fave is EITN. 👻🌇

He obviously made a bad choice for his first single. Younger people are not going to be interested in this song. He would have done better to pick the title song, since it is also the name of the album. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops to push this on radio. Almost any of the other songs on the album, would have done better. It's not a catchy tune.

It can't hurt to stream so I am.

We should be able to get GT a spin every night on these two stations by requesting GT for the 9@9

GT was very different and did catch a lot of attention. Hope it's a gateway to the second single which may get more radio play. My prediction is that the next one will be TOH. Streaming to support your favorite artist is a way of life. Not like the old days when you just bought a record and that was it.

The whole issue is not being angry at having to stream constantly or buying incessantly, etc., the issue seems to be our infamous General Public. Adam's fandom has done everything in it's power to push this promo, but he needs the GP on-board.

Ghost Town was good until I heard how good the other songs were on the album and then GT sounded kind of generic to me. No matter how many times I listen to it I don't get the lyrics. Not many are buying the album either. He is getting decent radio play I thought.

It's true, of course. The core fandom alone can't sustain his music at a high level. He always needs NEW fans who continually discover him and support him. That's why he's doing so much personal promo. Look at the impact of the NYE show in London. HUGE! Listeners will buy a song that they like. They will also buy the music of a PERSON they like. Adam is trying to promote both. I have no problem streaming as much as I can.

I am still hearing Ghost Town on the radio and my daughter is also, so I am happy. Its being played so to me that's a good thing. Adam is here to stay and will be around a long time and that's what counts!

Of ALL the songs on the album I probably like GT the least. There were so many other GREAT songs to choose from. I feel so bad for Adam.... He really needed a hit. Maybe the next release...I hope its TOH!

I'm not a fan of Ghost Town but there are other songs on the album that are great.

I heard Gt at the gym in Reno, NV yesterday. I wish they would put the title track Original High Out. It's a summer song, dance vib club song and definitely one for the college crowd and young adults. If they would just play his song more the people would love them. Just play them that all. This music is so fresh and today's music. What!?!

I agree. I'm enjoying GT, but I can't wait for single #2. Hope it's TOH and hope it comes sooner than later. I know these things are carefully determined by the label, but Adam's visibility is pretty high right now, so a new single would likely ride pretty high on the wave.

GT is still climbing the charts.

I didn't and still don't like GT. Terrible lyrics. There are 5 or 6 tunes that would have made better first singles. I find I only like about half the songs on this album, as I did on FYE. I liked all but a few on Trespassing, so far that's my favorite album.
