"About #ResistMarch We are calling on everyone to peacefully march with us on June 11th from Hollywood and Highland to West Hollywood. Instead of a Pride Parade meant to celebrate our past progress, we are going to march to ensure all our futures. Just as we did in 1970's first LGBTQ+ Pride, we are going to march in unity with those who believe that America's strength is its diversity. Not just LGBTQ+ people but all Americans and dreamers will be wrapped in the Rainbow Flag and our unique, diverse, intersectional voices will come together in one harmonized proclamation. We #Resist the efforts to divide us! More information about the #ResistMarch can be found at www.resistmarch.org."

I wonder if this will be covered in the national news. Sounds to be an important function.

I hope all the speeches will be covered.... don't want to miss Adam's.

What a great speech, Adam never fails! Exact in content, tone and delivery - he was born to bring people together and inspire! Trump and his peeps of course refused to acknowledge the day and the movement.

Thanks for the link, Anonymous8. Adam, as usual, was very forceful... and forthright. We have seen most of this heartfelt speech during his tours, so there's no surprise for Glamberts...he advocates love, acceptance and tolerance among ALL people.

But this time he is a bit more militant about his encouraging people to become involved and activists against what he feels is a regime that is threatening a loss of ground for the LGBTQ community, and divisiveness throughout our country in general.

As usual, Adam was very articulate and "on point". Frankly, I would have preferred his speech being presented without the backward-facing baseball cap...which I find a bit disrespectful for the occasion (yes... I'm probably being a old fuddy-duddy).... which is a very important moment in the mobilization of public opinion against the Trump regime's divisiveness. Also, a few fewer "F's" and "M-F's" would have gone a long way to reinforce his "gravitas", IMO.

That said, Adam is still a very forceful and convincing orator for peace, love and fairness. His stage "presence" has increased enormously through the years! His sincerity is certainly unquestioned.

And....an aside....he is still "crazy handsome" even with that stupid baseball cap on!!!!

I believe this poem will fit in here ...

IN MEMORIAM

Picture our crosses, row on row ...
And remember us who died.
We gave the springtime of our years
That hate be satisfied,
And that the hurt world might find peace
After the bitter strife.
We gave the precious gift of youth,
The glorious gift of life.

Go stand beside the unanswering sea,
And view our unmarked graves.
Remember all the countless ones
Long lost beneath its waves.
Think not it was a little thing:
That which we sacrificed.
Somewhat repay us if Thou wilt,
Oh miracle-working Christ!
Grant us this reward we Pray:
That enmity may cease
Between all nations, and Thy gift,
In memory of us, be Peace!
