I love all these choices and of course there are so many more. If there is one more that I would choose from Idol, it would be "If I Can't Have You." It took everyone by surprise and was beautifully sung. And it was after Adam sang that song that he publicly thanked Michael Orland for helping him with the arrangement. It was the first time that any contestant had thanked Michael publicly. A favorite moment.

I saw this the other day and told you all about it on here. Good choices. But yes there are many more.

Adam thanked the band on American Idol several time when Michael Orland was the

music director . . . always the professional . .

Great article about Adam. I couldn't BEGIN to narrow it down to only 8 performances, but I am surprised Billboard put in the AMA performance...for obvious reasons... but also because that was NOT one of Adam's "best" technical performances, as he later said himself.

EVERYTHING Adam sings is epic! IMO

They didn't mention the one song that was controversial ... Ring of Fire ... I thought that was the one that made everyone sit up & take notice ... no one had ever totally changed a song like that before!! I loved it then & I still love it now!! As a matter of fact I can't pick one bad performance of ADAM's .. they were all unique ... not one boring performance ... ADAM was there to entertain & he always did just that ... never disappointed us to this day ... he just keeps getting better & better-er!!

Sorry if I sound a little disoriented ... just got home from the hospital this Tuesday ... was very ill but I'm getting back on my feet slowly but surely!! So I'll say Thank you 24/7 for posting all the ADAM news .. good night Glam Sisters!!

Good to hear from you Lambert Outlaw, get better.

Lambert Outlaw....I would have put "Ring of Fire" in that list, too. Adam's version was a showpiece for his amazing soar as only he can do.

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. Hope it was just a one-time illness, and not part of your on-going problems. Take care!

Speaking of the "Ring of Fire", the rendition that Adam did on American Idol was not entirely his own interpretation. I thought I remembered him saying then that it came from a rendition by a woman whose name I had forgotten.
But I finally managed to locate the originator of that version of "Ring of Fire"...she is named Dilana, seen in a video on the Rockstar Supernova reality show (never heard of it).

There's a definite similarity, particularly at the beginning.....but Adam quickly took it into a completely other dimension!

Just an interesting bit of Adam trivia. IMO
