It's nice that Adam is connecting up with, and imparting his vast experience to, this group of young people. But during a pandemic? Surely this is just a "side trip" from the original need to travel to the U.K.... or anywhere! There must surely be another commitment that he simply could not put off.

Unless, of course, he's just sick and tired of the whole pandemic-thing....and has decided to finally ignore it entirely, and take his chances. But I don't believe he would do that...he's too smart to be so nonchalant...isn't he?

This looks pretty safe. Adam is at least 6 feet apart with a mask. They all are spaced well. Does not look like they let many attend. Enough to get there opinions ect on things.
I imagine they will just hand out pizza
I really dont know. Think viewing a movie as well. Just keep those masks on!

Nanbert said...

Yes, but Adam could just as well address the group via video, as all the other things he has been doing lately....including that recent video conference with Pete Buddigieg.

Hopefully, we'll find out more about his trip eventually. Maybe something to do with Queen?
What could be so urgent that it required his actual physical presence? A movie?...a recording? A rehearsal?

I knew he was doing the Q&A and more things to come !!

Sue Smith said...

I am sure there is more things than this to come for sure! Even SS said that. Pete Biddigieg was many, many miles away in the United States.
Different states doing different things in the United States as well. Had 25 percent at a Texan football game the other day in the audience. It was not played in Texas but will be that way here to start out. However will see how that turns out. Houston has had big break outs of Covid 19 it gotten better for now to an extent. But it's been rough could zoom up next week. More people started wearing masks that helped greatly. Labor day all over the United States people acted stupid tho.
LA not having the beloved holiday Adam loves on October 31st this year at least for kids. They are not trick or treating. So much going on in California from fires ect. He probably glad to get away for what he is needed for in Europe for a few weeks. Air quality is awful there now in LA I heard.
That is what Adam must have wanted to do and he did seem to take the right precautions.
Adam is a people person probably graving to really get human on human talk. At social distancing of course.
I know we just worry about his safety because we care so much for him. I worry as well believe me I do.

This event looks pretty well-controlled as far as covid protection goes. I'm sure he'll be fine. I think Shosh hinted that he'll be doing some promo for the QAL album in the coming weeks. So he is doing some productive things. I'm just glad we're seeing him doing new things again, like the Mayor Pete interview and this LGBTQ event. All good, IMO.

Good for Adam he's able to leave his home, for a change of scenery ( yes I know it's for business) but it must feel real good to breathe a different air and see different faces instead of your own at home. Hahaha. I feel confident Adam is taking every bit of caution over there. We shall see what is really going on. :)

Adam has probably accumulated various things to get done by being in London and decided to go and clear up the obligations. Besides, the world has become his oyster, gotta keep moving.

Nanbert said...

It's not just that ONE appearance that worries me...it's an accumulation of exposures...Air travel, taxis, hotels, restaurants, in and out of different buildings, day in and day out, etc, etc...FANS! Wearing a mask will not be much protection from discovery once fans KNOW he is there! That's a LOT more dangerous than staying at home and having video visits/performances/meetings.

Then....How ironic that he had a video conference with Pete Buddigieg....from LONDON!

Oh well, I won't rest easy until Adam is back home and isolated until this pandemic is over! Yes, he is young and healthy, and would probably survive COVID-19. But just as frightening as the virus, is the accumulating evidence that many people suffer ongoing residual damage after having recovered from COVID-19....with no evidence that their health will ever return to pre-Covid normal. That applies especially to the lungs....or in Adam's case...his voice! He COULD permanently damage/lose that gorgeous voice if he got COVID-19!

Small wonder that I worry for him!...for US!

Nanbert he’s a grown man it’s his business what he does not ours ! And he’s just as safe in the UK than in LA !!!

Adam can take care of himself as well as the next person. He'll be fine.

Angeladam said...

Patria ‘ clear up his obligations’ actually I think he wants to be in London and definitely don’t think he sees ANY of his work as an obligation !!

Rosemary White said...

Nanbert, I read an article recently about people who have ongoing health problems as a result of surviving COVID-19. I'm glad I was made aware of this but it's very sad.

We must think positively about Adam - he's a healthy lad.

Nanbert said...

Well, a 45 yr. old "healthy" acquaintance of mine recently died from COVID-19...after a three weeks long, excruciating illness. His wife said they had been scrupulously careful...both worked from home...and they had been in strict isolation with their two young children. She cannot even imagine HOW/WHERE he got sick....Probably grocery shopping, since that was the ONLY time he went out. He always wore a mask, and they immediately wiped down with alcohol and/or washed everything he brought in. Fortunately, neither she or the two children have gotten COVID-19 from him...since the incubation period has passed without incident.

So THAT'S why I am so obsessively (I KNOW) worried for Adam. Even the MOST careful people can become affected. And most don't even know where/how it happened, from all reports. And there's proof right in my own circle of acquaintences. It only takes that ONE invisible exposure!

And of course, Angeladam, Adam is a grown man, and has the right to do as he wishes....it's his business, not mine. But I am a grown woman, and DO have the right to WORRY about him. He's simply NOT as safe now moving around in the U.K. as he was isolating at home in LA.

Now I will stop boring everyone with my incessant "hand-wringing". I worry about Adam as if he is a close family member! I suspect I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Patria said...

I do worry about Adam as if he were a family member. There are actually 4 worries I have for him that includes the covid. The newest worry is the entire Pacific coast is on fire and the air quality is dangerous in addition to the spread. No one has ever talked me out of the initial worries and I doubt I will be talked out of these last 2 additions.

Angeladam said...

Nanbert it’s without question a worrying for everyone and this horrible disease is indiscriminate as to whom it attacks 😥 sorry about your friend, we have to stay positive though , Adam will be ok xx

Nanbert said...

And yes, Patria...there's the fires and air quality on the Pacific coast...AND the hurricanes threatening in the Atlantic and into the Gulf!(I have family in Florida). Never a dull moment! Global warming, a Pandemic, and a momentous election coming up! Wow!

Thanks, Angeladam. I'll try to be more positive. This is just such a worrisome time!

The family that live behind my house it's not that close but not far either were also hit very hard by the pandemic. The husband and father of grown children and grandfather got very sick with Covid. He had COPD and he had a very hard time. It was touch and go in the hospital over a month. He did make it.
We had really no break outs until this but there were at least 2 in the same extended family and then couple more not sure where they live but it was in the town.
I have known those people behind me for years. My kids went to school with there kids. They are younger but not young by today standards.
There daughter thought she brought it to him. She thought she had it and did not know at the time but I do not believe she did.
This is a small town but we have had a water park here for around 20 years and its grown and grown. There are cabins behind it and RV set ups. People come even from Houston here because it clean ect.
They decided to do the 25 percent thing late summer social distancing I guess.
I think that may be where it got started. Was not open long seem like things got better after that closed again for now. Only open in the summer.
It is a very good thing for the town in normal times has brough some businesses and business here.
I was very worried that the man that got sick wife was going to get it. Because she had cancer and she is a friend. But, she ok.
I did not say any of this because Nanbert has been worried and upset and other reasons.
The thing is we do have to wear masks and be as careful as possible and use common sense. However there is a point that we cannot stay in the house forever. I do not go much at all but Adam young and he does sooner or later have to get back to some kind of life. He is being as safe as he can as any of us can.
I to am very sorry about your friends Nanbert. I hope you stay safe.
It definitely is worrisome times.
The air quality I heard was bad in LA and California in general. That's why I said it was nice for him to be able to get away for a bit. He will be careful.
We all try to be positive now it's all we can do. But, we are going to worry it is human. Like I said above believe me I worry and most especially for my grand kids in school right now. I definitely worry about Adam but less face it bo place is that safe durring this pandemic.

Sue Smith said...

Correction, that was no place is safe durring this pandemic. I will add to that our house is the best I guess. However nothing is 100% safe.

Dee R Gee said...

I am as concerned as anyone about this pandemic. I want a vaccine to developed that will help us get over it. I think Adam is taking the necessary precautions. I too think of him as part of my family. I care about what happens to him.

I think the year 2020 is turning out to be one of our most historic years. Books and films and music will be made about this year. And we are all living it first-hand. We rarely face so many serious challenges all at one time. Adam is one of my "rocks." I can hold on to him in a way that focuses my attention on something fun and uplifting. He has gotten me through some rough times in past eleven years. I hope he can get back on track when this mess is all over and bring us joy again.

Angeladam said...

No place safe for sure, but I’m sure Adam will be ok. Quite strict with CoVid 19 rules over here in the UK. We have to carry on with precautions in some sort of normal way x

Sue Smith said...

No doubt the Covid shot is the best answer. But it got to be deemed safe for every person across the board. I hope we see that soon. Adam has seen me through tough times as well. Concerts are the way he mainly makes his living. So hope we do get a SAFE immunization soon. So many have been hurt badly financially and health wise.
Yes storms in the gulf again. We barely dodged Laura. I often realize no matter how much I worry it does not do much good in the long run.

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee and Sue Smith ..in a sense, you inadvertantly hit it on the head. I think we all "use" Adam as a form of escape. Usually the LAST thing I do every day is play music videos of him on Youtube. It distracts me from my churning thoughts and worries, and relaxes me so I can sleep. Maybe it's a bit like meditation!

Dee R Gee said...

Nanbert, I guess we all have our own strategies for coping with life. LOL You have to do what works best for you!

And I want to put a shout out to a new documentary that Adam just tweeted about. It's "The Social Dilemma." It's on Netflix. My son called and told me to be sure to watch it. I watched it today and it is FANTASTIC. A real must-see. It's about the background and impact and future of social media. It will really open your eyes.

Adam also just tweeted about working on a "new project" while he is in London! That is very exciting to hear! Can't wait to get more info from him about it. He also should be doing some promo for the QAL album, at least that what Shosh said. So, chins up everybody! Good things are on the horizon!

Just found this video on Youtube....it shows Queen and Adam Lambert performing the conclusions of "Who Wants To Live Forever", for each year from 2012 to 2020. Interesting to compare. Adam's voice has indeed become richer and fuller through the years, IMO.

Thank you so much for that collection of WWTLFs! Each one is a masterpiece! It's true that his voice is deeper as time goes on. And it gets richer and more compelling and beautiful. Notice that he does not have to change to a lower register as time goes on. He sings the song each time in the same key. He can handle it just fine. I have heard that a male singer his age is at the peak of his vocal power. We can sure see how he's grown vocally over the years. I love being a part of it all.

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee....you're welcome...and right. I "love being a part of it all", too!

Just found another fan-made video on Youtube..."Adam singing "The Show Must Go On" from 2012 to 2020!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zFwRx2Mr0M

Oh my....he's simply brilliant....from beginning to end! His voice has just acquired more "muscle" through the years, and he just keeps getting more handsome!
