I LOVE IT it's a keeper, I've added it to my "favorites". In the terminology of the Bowie days he was super cool and Adam, well what can I say? We've been loving him 2 years now.

David Bowie coudn't finish "Under Pressure" with Mercury. It was terrible! Adam would finished it, deff, and will have right to sing it as solo till the rest of his life on his own.
DB is fabulous but something still missed! What?! Adam personality!

the gyration of the Lambert hips could give Bowie a run for his money! Bowie is good, but Lambert has the pipes! They should really collaborate in the future.

Adam, know this guy is your hero, but seriously dude you beat him in good looks, sex appeal, stage presence, and VOCALS by about 100%. Entertaining video, though.

David if your reading this please give Adam a call he's been dying to meet you. David did give Adam a mention in his newsletter which I thought was super cool of him.good video.

@anon 9:15PM Nobody run for money at the beginning of his carrier on 1970th! They started from scratch, from nothing, without any money, but with hope and talent. Most of them lost because it was just hope. But real talent came through any sh.... and drugs and .... And David Bowie is one of these biggest stars of the rock forever!
But the deal is. Adam can sing rock, pop, jazz, and everything he want to sing, even country, on his own way:) And this is make him perfect. Only one singer could do it But it was twenty years ago. You are next, Adam! Sky is limit! No boundaries!

Thank you sooo much! Wonderful video. Just what was needed after hearing about the "other stuff" I missed (Thank God!) while away. Yes, Adam is better vocally and such, but Bowie was an innovater. NOONE was doing what he did at the time he did it. Perhaps someday, Adam can say the same. Wait, he can! Only "openly blah, blah, blah" with a major label contract. Much as I hate the mention, it is true. And about time. Too bad Bowie is ill, it would make a great collaboration.

V (oh, welcome KW! and yes Bowie was/is bi)

Anon 9:47, what did you mean when you said: "David did give Adam a mention in his newsletter which I thought was super cool of him"? Did I miss or forget something?

Adam leaves David Bowie way behind the starting blocks when it comes to vocals, looks, stage presence and hot moves. There aint any contest!! :)

Great Video!Bowie had this strange mystic about him that sucked you in. Adam aaaaaaahhh....he's got that power too. It's what makes em stars.
Hasn't anyone noticed the resemblance that Sauli has to Bowie?????

Not a big fan of Bowie but I'm a HUGE fan of Adam!! He's the HOTTEST MOVER on the planet!! :+D

LBS .... yes, I noticed a resemblance to Bowie ... it's unmistakable!! :D

Boy, this brought back some memories. David Bowie was one of the first concerts I saw and I saw Adam doing this on idol tour also. But, yes no one matches adam's sex appeal or vocals.

Gotta pipe in on this one... David Bowie is one of the FINEST artists EVER!! Why the need to say ANYTHING negative about him? Without people like Bowie we would not have the Adam we have today. HUGE influence on AFL, he has said it MANY times...

You know what? It is not always about the outside (although I luv the way Bowie looks). And Adam is Adam, that is a given... But why this endless comparing of everybody with him? Why not just recognize talent as Adam does??

Bowie is one of Adam's faves for a reason. Maybe the younger crowd should do some research on Bowie, the man is a GENIUS and paved the way for innovative people like Adam.

The video is wonderful. One of Adam's dreams is to meet Bowie, tell you anything??

Sorry for soap box! Sometimes I am just aghast at what people say about anybody else that isn't AFL.
He's fabulous, but so are many others.

Just sayin!
Peace out

Well said, I totally agree with you! Every word!

But I wonder what kind of oil sweet Adam drinks with his liquid chlorophyle to get his «hot machine» so flexible... what a rolling body! Can't be only [talent] + [natural health] + [positive energy]!

I very much want to make Adam's dream come true to meet & collaborate with David Bowie. Does Mr. Bowie have a twitter or a fan club site we can go to? It would be so cool if we could convince Mr. Bowie of maybe having a comeback with the one & only Adam Lambert! Anyways, it would be so awesome if us fans could do something like that for Adam! K

Here is a vid of Adam and Robert Plant performing Whole Lotta Love; another duet I would love to see one day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0Il_qcfQlg

I liked the video. David Bowie was remarkable in his day as Adam is being now. And it really would be awesome if both work together. Tess4Adam I think that few if any singers want to do a duet with Adam because they know that he would overshadow them

Love this video!David Bowie was ahead of his time and I remember people comparing him to an alien at the beginning of his fame.lol Bowie blazed the trail for androgeny and creative expression and Adam took it to the ultimate level. It was a gutsy thing for Bowie to do at the time. Sorry, I don't see any resemblance of Sauli to Bowie other than being blue-eyed blondes and both very pleasant looking. Bowie is tall and lean and Sauli smaller with more rounded facial features. Both nice looking guys.[JMO] I had a mad crush on Bowie and had never seen anything like him. There were so many conservative constraints at the time. If Adam had performed then as he does today, he probably would have been arrested. Look at the furor over Elvis for his pelvic moves in the 50's and 60's. Sure glad times have changed! I thank Bowie for being the catalyst for Adam and hope they will someday soon meet. What a tribute to him to have Adam so publicly credit him for taking music to another place. Have to say that I don't think anyone can top Adam's performance of Fame. His voice and those body rolls just can't be duplicated!..... @KW It's going to be fun and informative to pick your brain and get your perspective on Adam and related subjects! Glad you've joined us!!We can get out of control at times, but it's all in fun and care about Adam!

I confess, I rarely pray for anything, but I'd pray for Adam to make some music extraordinaire with his inspirational stars or idols and, heaven forbid, not submit to the pressure of (otherwise highly successful) cheap pop music. You all want him to be superstar...as in Today (I’d like that too) but, more than that, I wish for him to be huge 20/30/40 years from now. I’d die if I heard him sing about some gayish ‘daisy dukes’. He’s taken a Maybelline vacation (Good for him. It’s been fun. Really) but it might be the time to move from little (neighborhood) revolutions to the bigger ones...in music, I mean. I’m sure I wouldn’t have bought, listened or liked FYE if I hadn’t seen him in pre-/Idol performances and interviews. It’s too over-produced for my usual taste. I bet I’m not the only one on this. Thank God for (most of) the songs’ messages, for GNT and acoustic performances!
I could only hope he has Bowie’s (or MJ’s) innovative spirit. He has, however, something (maybe) equally important: the wish and will for teamwork. That might be one way to greatness... Many of his peers believe he has what it takes; when asked, they spoke highly of him and his creativity. I’ll wait and see how (pretty much) everyone’s wish and need for (his) commercial success will be...handled. He’ll do things in his own way, I’m sure. However, I’m not one to say I’ll love someone forever no matter what. I truly don’t have idols...of any kind. Just people I like/love for some reasons. When those reasons vanish... Well, that’s it. That’s life. (Any kind of) love must be fed regularly, nurtured and renewed.

I only remember David Bowie being a very mainstream artist in Europe. First the glam rock era and later he had hits such as Blue Jean and Heroes.

@ GLb

I do believe sweet Adam has this «one more gift», the INNOVATIVE SPIRIT. All free spirits are also innovative spirits, I have no doubt on this matter! Sweet Adam's fame just started to raise, lets give him a little more time, hold our horses, calm down and waaaiiiiiiiit!?
Our amazing young man has just begun a new era in music (and in acceptance), starting by renewing MY LIFE (sorry, I'm not humble) and so many thousands of others lives, only with his passionate presence, his incomparable voice and his huge charisma. Lets wait a bit for him to start to show the other million of gifts&blessings he has hidden somewhere... as soon as he remember where...

Don't - Don't - Don't - Please. Don't anyone try to contact David Bowie (by Twitter or otherwise) on Adam's behalf. I think Adam would be so embarrassed if his fans did that. Just Sayin'.........

There's nothing wrong especially if Adams management will pursue the request to meet David Bowie eh?!!! It's a big honor and I hope Adam will meet him someday.

I'm sure David Bowie is aware that Adam would like to meet him, SOMEONE has surely told him. However I can't see him coming out of his present isolation to meet a FAN no matter how special we think Adam is.

Now if Adam should run into Iman at a fashion show......that might be an IN to the elusive Mr.Bowie..........JAK

@GLb

I agree, I rarely play my FYE album.....too too much over production drowning out Adam. I've made my own playlist from his various TV performances, the wonderful acoustic numbers from Europeanradio interview visits and other bits and pieces.

From what Adam has said about new songs, he's gotten our message...more voice, less sound booth magic. He doesn't need it.

I only go to FYE album occasionally for Pick U Up, that's the only song I've never found elsewhere. Why is that? It's great fun!

OT...@ Fan4fun, Yes it's me at 10:39AM. You know me so well! Forgot my tag, checking in and out of 24/7. Life going on here. Missing MGF! Where are you? Glad to see Bing checking in and wondering how ChezzaSherbert and Dad are doing. Adam sure has cut down on my productivity! Wonder where in the world is our BB! No sightings at LAX? Happy he's tweeting again more frequently! It's like wanting to know where your kids are and what they're doing only he's not a kid! Hope we'll see some tv plugging for the dvd/cd! funbunn40

I was thinking of my own comment (HA! damn self-obsessed ..Bert) and I realized that my very last words above only reveal my (non)parenthood status. There must be one unconditional love...I suppose. GLb

I am praying that this rumour of their hooking up together in some capacity is true - I would die a happy girl.

Bowie is my all time favourite- I was/am obsessed with him for 40 years now. Nobody has come close - until now. I can honestly say that Adam is conjuring up the same sort of spirt and creativity that Bowie had. This is not about who sings better or what - it is about some kind of an unexplained charisma or karma that they both have and how they have changed/are changing things! Bowie was a huge innovator and produced many many mega songs. I feel instinctively that Adam has this in him as well - things were never easy for Bowie in early years to become established as he went against the grain - like Adam - but true talent will prevail in the end!

Bowie does not really use his twitter now it seems. He was one of the first musicians to turn to internet in creative way as well!
