poor Adam..I am reading this AM that Enrique is about confirmed..no Adam at judges seat..I will not watch at all...the people over at Idol are brain dead in my opinion not to hire the best..saying they are paying EI about 10 mil..what a world!!!

it would have been nice for Adam but it ain't gonna be. He was at least considered for a while.

don't mind if it's not Adam, it'll be okay... but Enrique... gag me with a spoon... okay, on a more civil note (because he actually seems like a nice guy, a nice person, but NO VOICE WHATSOEVER, sorry)but he's very DULL!!!!! What is Idol thinking

I agree with tess4ADAM: let's stay positive and send our positive thoughts to the universe in support of Adam! Sometimes they say our mental attitude/strength can help us fight disease and get things go our way! Let's all stay positive behind Adam and help him achieve his goals!

Adam will open doors in other ways than AI. His path is going to be interesting and different. I would have only watched AI if Adam was a judge anyway, so now I don't have to be tied to the TV on those nights. I'll do some Berting on my laptop instead.

I can't believe enriques got that. I read he didn't have time and lots of personal problems going on? Anyway, he can't sing- what a dreadful line-up this year, especially nicki M. I will be amazed if ratings go up- I think they are going to lose 75% of thier faithful viewers. The tweens and rappers need to carry this show IMO. I hope it bombs- no adam and he wanted it- I'm not watching after 11 years!

‘American Idol’ season 12: Are Mariah Carey and the judges finally set?

"It’s been a long summer of speculation and rumors that oftentimes came out of nowhere (see Kanye West), but it looks as though “American Idol” is finally going to get their judging panel set in stone for the new season.
As it turns out, the panel is looking to be exactly who we have been talking about for months. According to Deadline the panel is going to be Mariah Carey (whose deal is already set), Enrique Iglesias, Keith Urban, and Nicki Minaj. What is interesting here are the salaries currently being reported by the website. While the massive paycheck for Carey (which is at least more than $15 million) is still intact here, the salaries for Minaj and Igleasias are a little bit higher than expected in $10-12 million. Meanwhile, Urban is supposedly getting the short end of the stick here in $3-5 million. Granted, we also don’t precisely think that many people would be upset about getting this kind of money for a year’s worth of work. (Plus, Urban has been out of the spotlight a little bit in the past few years.)
This panel is probably going to be formally announced at some sort of press conference this coming week, with the gang officially starting the audition process later this month. The initial cattle calls happened earlier this summer, and we are now in the next phase of the process.

I personally believe that if Adam had the opportunity to announce that he was an AI judge, he would have slightly delayed the single announcement of Trespassing and done that more in connection with an Idol announcement...JMO, and so when he announced Trespassing as next single the other day, it kind of spoke to me as a no Idol judge announcent, just a feeling, I know nothing of course, obviously :)!!

I sort of think Adam found out a week or two ago myself but was asked not to say anything and he did not.

Enrique as an Idol judge....how boring. And if Nicki Minaj is also signed on , it will be the battle of the boobs, hair and outifits between her and Mariah. UGH! Adam would have been such a good choice since he was a contestant and knows all about the music business. He is also articulate,smart and honest. He would have been the voice of reason on that panel. I doubt if I will be watching Idol this season.

I was hoping Adam would do more of a mentoring role. Maybe he still can help Randy. He would be a much better mentor than Randy.

I was also hoping that Adam would get a spot as judge, since he made it clear, that he would like the job. I am not sure why they are announcing all the salaries that each judge would get. It seems a bit crude, most job offers don't do that. I also won't have any interest this year if Adam is not a judge, he is so well trained for it.

Well you know the tow divas wouldn't want Adam, because he would be getting all of the attention. They can't have that.

As I understand it, Mariah is the only judge who has signed a contract for AI. The others are all being considered; Unles something is announced today, they still have only one judge signed.

As we know, Adam is OFTEN mixed up with Adam Levine on The Voice mentions...As far as we know, Adam LEVINE is still firmly ensconced in that position....I would love it to be true..But no.

Article about Nicki Minaj from Access Hollywood online: Interesting..hmmm....and if she thinks she might not be able to be a good judge, my advice to her is this:

I think she has some talent and is "interesting" but in my humble opinion, American Idol needs some judges who can actually JUDGE, something that Adam would be excellent at..so perhaps we can still hope..because she's hedging here just a little...Wishful thinking on my part?..maybe..but keeping hope alive until the bitter end : ))

Glitzylady after reading that article I think it is wishful thinking on your part. Her and Mariah are going to be playing good cop bad cop, I can see it coming. Why would she have no comment if she wasn't in the running?

Voted on the Grammy poll. Please do so! A Grammy nom is VERY valuable. Even without the AI job, a Grammy nom is an incredible honor and gets lots of attention, and as great status and credibility. Please keep voting on the Grammy link!!

The AI thing has become a real joke. Are there still going to be contestants on that show?

Of course it was wishful thinking on my part..and many others..I have no doubt Nicki will be a judge..but I can wish can't I?? LOL! Not that it does me much good unfortunately. This whole Idol judge thing has been such a train wreck for so long that I just want them to announce the "Final Four" and put us all out of our misery...I prefer to be on Adam's "crazy train" at this point, where ever it takes us... : ))) And if one of its stops along the way isn't back to Idol, then so be it... Their loss...for sure.

Nicki doesn't know if she would make a good judge, she will think everyone is good, and they are going to pay her all that money! God help us, please..Kind of makes me sick to my stomach. I know it all comes down to who AI thinks will bring in the viewers, but really?

1:38 if you have internet explorer and it doesn't work go in using google chrome. It didn't work for me until I used chrome. I can't see any views on VH1 unless I use google chrome .

I read on adambertdaily that enrigues turned it down I have read that more than once.I do like him but not as a judge Adam Lambert please.

The contract that a few people are looking at , to be a judge on AI, must be lengthy and full of things that is making these people a bit leary of the wording. contracts can be very tricky, and will be covering AI's ass. To prevent any sueing and any other thing that puts AI in a bad light. Of course all this waiting and waiting keeps AI in the news, until the show starts.

The Voice has a diva and 3 guys, AI should cover the bases. diva-Mariah, country-Keith, hispanic-Enrique, pop-Adam Lambert.

I wouldn't mind looking at Keith, Enrique and Adam weekly!

I vote soo many times on this everyday because no one deserves it but ADAM.
This will give him all the buzz especially this is from vh1 just like the Billboard's Sexiest Male.

But if Adam had announced his new single at the same time he was announced as a judge, so many people ,especially in the Idol bubble would have slated him for only doing Idol for self promotion a la Jlo and Steven Tyler....
Even when Mariah released her awful latest single just as she was announced as a judge there was a lot of talk.
